  1. Might've been just some nice people putting some extra weight or crew on your ship, exceeding the limits and thus sinking it. Which I assume is the same thing that happened to our schooner. Would be nice if you could attach your ship to a dock where it's protected from being overweight/overcrowded, so people couldn't sink it by just bringing enough people or cargo on it while it's being unattended.
  2. Our Schooner was anchored inside our claim, next to a Large shipyard, small shipyard and 2 houses. I seriously doubt that decay played any part in this. Too bad none of us were here to witness what happened, so we could've given a more detailed report. Luckily I spent most of yesterday harvesting resources after putting down every single beast nearby, so we have a healthy stockpile of stuff and rebuilding won't take forever.
  3. That would probably explain it. Also the fact that there's nothing left to salvage. If this was the case, I hope the person responsible found enjoyment in bringing a schooner down on a pve server, and has a good use for the resources gained. Sometimes I do wonder why I bother playing the types of games that allow such behaviour. Though thus far, the experience has mostly been positive.
  4. Oh, this was in a normal region, the ship was at 100% health since it was just released from the shipyard (I checked it 6 hours ago when I logged off), and it was anchored so the decay shouldn't be that bad. Unless of course, the decay is INSANE even while anchored. Of course, this can be an intented game mechanic, but feels just a bit unreasonable to see a schooner go down from 100% in 6 hours while anchored.
  5. We lost another Schooner last night. Losing ships is of course a part of the game, and I really wouldn't mind that much if it was at sea, trying to deal with the ships of the damned. This time however, the ship was safely anchored next to our shipyard, and apparently decided to self destruct during the night. We didn't even have the chance to take it to it's maiden voyage. I personally had the ship larder fully stocked with food, prepared 10 beautiful cannons and ammunition for them , in case we'd have to defend ourselves at sea. Filled the lanterns with oil, so we wouldn't have to sail in the darkness, hauled all the necessary repair materials to the ship storage and made sure we had some nice tunes picked for our war drums. After a hard day's labor, I decided I had deserved some rest and went to bed. Apparently, the gods did not take this too well, as next morning I woke up to find only flotsam in the place where our ship used t o be, and an empty ship skeleton at the bottom of the sea. Such a waste of materials and man hours... As we are a very small company with most of the members unable to play excessive amounts of time, these losses hit us pretty hard. Oh, did I happen to tell you what happened to our first schooner? We apparently did not have luck on our side, as we encountered around 7 ships of the damned in a storm. Miraculously, we managed to escape the hostile ships and the storm, and as we let out a sigh of relief, our ship did a 360 barrel roll, and instantly sunk. not giving us a chance to do any repairs. Hence, we've named our 2 sloops CCCLX No Hope and CCCLX No Hope II, both being mercilessly brought down by the damned. Once again we find ourselves shipless. This is a bit of a drag, as half of our claim resources have disappeared after our friendly neighbour placed a boyu next to our claim, and the island also happens to be infested by wolves and lions who enjoy attacking defenseless people in packks, making the resource gathering intolerable. Sorry for the rant, just being a bit frustrated at the moment.
