So after playing 65 hours of Atlas I am going to stop for now.
At least with my experience it's just not worth it at this point. I get that this is early access and that is what we all payed for. However after restarting in free port at least 40 times now, I login and start gathering thinking this time is it I am going to make it to an island (unclaimed) build a base and start this empire I wanted but nope. I just end up back in free port rinse and repeat. Maybe for some people they have big ships the best guns and armor. But there are just some things that when I get on my raft to sail out and look out to sea I just say ehhh never mind. And its just a shame because I really like this game I want to get really into it but just at this point some things will need to be addressed Ill list some below
1) Animal: To me this is a big problem, their respond time is way to fast. You kill a pack of 10 another 10 come after you, you clear those you have about 3 mins to breath before its time to go again. wolves run in packs sometimes crocks role with the wolves to double team. animals will follow you to the end of the earth especially crocks you think you can out run those fools think again. I am not going to even get into lions that is a whole other game lol ill post a picture below, they need to be balance/reduced.
2) calming system: Sure you can contest territory to get a spot but good luck and congrats to those who have but if you are some average Joe looking to get a spot. I think you have a better chance destroying a ghost ship lol. Obviously I haven't been everywhere yet but with the Chinese overtaking the NA PVP server good luck too everyone looking to claim.
3) The Chinese: yup they were in ARK and now they are here anyone that has been around knows what this means keep fighting the good fight against these guys.
There are plenty more but those are the major ones for me I play with about 5 people and all of are waiting for the game to be fixed and I hope they do get the game in the right direction once you do ill see you again Atlas
