  1. Yeh the very last line of the update 150 company members, 10 day timer, temp set to 6 hours for testing. Could/should have made it 12 hours, let people get some bloody sleep at least.
  2. Makes the PTR untenable.. I might just log in and then just sit afk on my ship.
  3. 6 hours eh.. guess I'll loose all my stuff when I log in then. Waste of time testing the ptr is that's the timer period, it takes enough time just to build a ship then sail around to get the various resources to check stuff.
  4. Don't know, could be the were not saved to your company. Could be they were griefed somehow, which caused them to be deleted rather than destroyed. If you had a settlement.. i dunno. Ships are part of your company tho, like tames. But cannot be sold or given away. So if they weren't removed.. maybe you still have them, they just aren't where you left them? I take it there's nothing on your atlas map indicating that they might be elsewhere? I've seen bugs in previous builds where ships can be teleported across the map. But this is usually when logging out in laggy servers and it doesn't update correctly.
  5. Whales and treasure maps aren't exactly easy if you're playing on 1x rates and starting new. Unless you've found some exploit to doing it. In endgame it might be easy, but people are trying to hold down claims now at lv 30-40 ish. I think the way to hurt megas with tax and flag rates would be to tax tames and foundations/pillers/ceilings etc. Maybe even 1g per tile or something along these lines, then people who create huge bases and tons of tames.. pay a lot more than those who have a little hut and a couple of tames. However the problem will always be with balance, too much tax and people will just quit.. or goto unoffs or so. So it might not be a solution worth having. Maybe they should just do away with tax banks and gold charges for flags with no upkeep at all.
  6. According to other threads posted on this, tames, players/on/offline sleeping and crew all contest flags. But with people swapping flags now to remain in peace mode it's kinda moot issue. Not that all can use this exploit.

  11. Ok I ran validation, 3 files failed. 134mb was downloaded. On running play, no option given to play on PTR, but ingame, in menu, now PTR PVP and PTR PVE.
  12. I totally get you and agree really. I just can't be arsed doing pvp, I'd rather get to know someone, find out where they come from, chat about day to day stuff, than chase them around to kill them and then take stuff I could probably farm myself in half the time. If there were real rewards or if it was a big base with thousands of gold to steal I could see the point, but most of the pvp is purely lazy people trying to get stuff the easy way. And usually they loose. Pvp is a long process that's just made easier by practice and power. ie more of me than you. But it's also about having fun for both sides and in todays pvp.. that certainly isn't true.
  13. How? I drown.. if I swim underwater and I loose stamina. So how are you not drowning? Or you're using sub?
  14. People still seem to be confused, pvp colonies won't work. Limitations won't work. It's easy to work around them. You could effectively have 500 people in a Company, setup on a discord & website. Operating as a company of 100, ingame as 5 companies. Owning every island in a zone or 2. They wouldn't need to be allied ingame. They just need to take orders via discord on when and where to turn up.
  15. 4 days is ok. It means you can't logout for 4 days. Say a long weekend. It will be an issue for anyone going on holiday or a job overseas tho. However, some items, should be on a much shorter decay rate or alternatives need to be in place. A shorter decay rate also causes problems tho. So lets see what else the devs fix.
  16. Any ideas? This is what I get if I select PTR.. Validating now. This'll take awhile. Thinking maybe revert to standard version, then back to beta? Or is the PTR now off the beta? Edit: Seems you now just load the Play Atlas default. No need to select the ptr. As for me.. - Companies are limited to 150 island points, with a 10-day activity timer (temporarily set at 6 hours for testing) Kinda killed the game for me. Just scuttled Hms Freedom in middle of the ocean. You can take my game time, my hard work and tenacity, but you ain't getting my freedom!! I'll be back after the wipe. and 1.5.
  17. Would be nice to keep getting updates for the new patches that keep filtering in, people can't give feedback on what they don't know.
  18. I think they close to pve, to test pvp. The new build they made, was only setup as default, which will be with everything enabled. Which is why many plants, trees etc are generic and why freeports can be built on, why pvp is enabled etc. Default for freeport zones is pvp off. The only real difference is 1 flag claims per island, those are set to fairly low gold counts. So maybe they're just stress testing the servers, the claim system, griefing etc will be ignored as it'll be expected to be blocked in the official release? Dunno.. we wait and see. It would be nice if the devs told us what they were actually testing for. And what doesn't matter.
  19. I'm not concerned. Playbase is back down to around 1500. They're probably mostly on the non ptrs. Catapulting themselves through the air for giggles.
  20. This is the last tweet.. it's now the 9th Uk Gmt, I wonder how much of Monday is left for the developers.. and no info since this either. For the Pvp server.. it felt like there were tweets every few hours. For the pve as usual.. almost nothing. Makes me cry.. tears, rivers and lakes of tears.. Big Salty Rivers of Tears... I can see the future.. I use my EYES!!
  21. Basically it's to test if the new systems, islands etc are compatible with pve way of playing. See if there's any new exploits or bugs noone else has noticed. Also, it'll give all the pve'ers who are forced to play on the ptr pvp server somewhere safe and huggy to live. Then in about a weeks time, if all is good.. or at least good enough.. it all get's wiped again and 1.5 goes live. Pvp Colonies and Empires. And Pve..whatever.
