Me and my friends have also lost 2 of our ships while being in a Freeport area farming for mats. It's been 2 days in a row that I've logged in and seen that our boat is completely gone, and I don't know why.. didn't think that it could be because of other players. We play on EU PvE and this has happened while we have been offline, and it's only our ships. Our first ship (Sloop) got destroyed while we were offline and close to a grid border, no where near an island.
This truly sucks, logging in and you've lost your ship with lots of mats in it.. hoping for a change towards this.
