  1. The Forgotten Reach island is like a Golden Age region island. It is filled with dangerous creatures as well as mermaids and sharks along one coastline. There are a few island that have different types of fish in the ponds you might find catfish for example and some have seabass and tuna around them these areas also have mantaray. The ocean is pretty empty I agree though we have been able to find a few fishing spots to haul in marlin. We have only seen a couple SoTD spawn locations and have been chased by whales. I think I saw an .ini setting that you can adjust to increase that rate on the forums. Finding all of the resources seems to be the biggest challenge so far. We have really had to set out and explore an entire island to find things. For example one of our players discovered a window flower garden that had medical herbs in it. The map does need some work but it is playable and free so...
  2. I have a question. If I create a new item such as a sail. How can I be sure the new item is now part of the treasure system? Does this happen automatically? That you in advance. Rhiannon
  3. I am looking for the location of the sail foil size (the circle that is shown on the ship diagram when at the helm) so that I can modify the size for each sail in a sail mechanics mod I am working on. While I have been able to isolate many of the sail specific features (in the StructureBP for each sail), that one I can not seem to find. I have tried adjusting the Max Acceptable angle diff to gather wind and while that does impact wind angle, I am looking to be able to modify the actual foil size. Thank you in advance for any assistance. Rhia
  4. NA-PvE H4 Player Owned Island-Phoenix Nest (any coord) v108.41 Severity: Low Type: Water Use Mechanics What is expected: When placing a Water Skin or Water Jar into a Water Barrel or Water Reservoir the Skin should fill to 100 or 200 if the water is available. What happens: On occasion the Skin or Jar will only fill to 99/100 or 199/200 preventing the use of the skin in transferring the water to another container. When trying to put water back into a storage device (Barrel or Reservoir) the Skin or Jar flashes and glitches and will not empty its contents. Current work around: If the player drinks water from a Skin or Jar that is at 99 or 199 that changes the volume to an even number the Skin or Jar can then be used sometimes unless the Skin or Jar fills back up to 99 or 199 and then it is again unable to empty its contents. Repeatable: Random
  5. I would like to see: Sails actually work as they should based on real life physics. 1) As an example, a Square Sail (the speed sail in game) only had an effective angle of about 90% and could only run with the wind at that angle and was why ships with those sails only ran trade winds routes. After running tests with speeds sails at irons and they can still out sail a Triangle Sail (the handling sail in game) there are some changes that really need to occur to bring the sailing into a realm of useful beyond the much quoted "Speed sails are all you need...ever". As it stands, the above statement is not untrue. That should be a big red flag on the development end. 2) All ships in ATLAS are based on displacement hulls. These ships could only go so fast based on water line. Right now the ships go far too fast based on the math used to calculate actual hull speeds. Adjustment of overall speeds and mechanics of each sail type would add to the immersion and diversify ships based on use rather than just slapping speed sails on each and every boat. Mooring Balls on owned islands The ability for anyone to sail up and anchor anyplace they like around an owned island (PvP or PvE) should be limited to the owners choice of locations. This could be solved with a Mooring Ball much like the current Buoy that could be anchored to. PvE is littered with people just spamming boats on owned islands that often block prime anchor points never to be seen again. Another option would be the ability to set a mooring fee at the owner flag that is a charge per hour to anchor your boat on the coastline of an owned island unless you have a mooring ball from the owner.
  6. Game Version: 19.3 Location: Official PvE, O6 Character level: 51 Repeatable: yes Gameplay priority: [mid-high] Game can still be played but some key features, structure creation, are not available. What should happen: When the players inventory has the required materials to make wooden structure parts the personal crafting blueprint should have a light blue background, have highlighted text, and be craftable via the (E) keypress with the mouse cursor over it or by double clicking on the blueprint. What actually happens: With the required materials in the player inventory, the personal inventory blueprint highlights to blue but does not have highlighted text. The item can not be made via the (E) key with the mouse cursor over the item nor by double clicking on the blueprint. Things tried: A character Respec did not fix the issue. Restarting the game did not fix the issue. ATLAS file verification on Steam did not fix the issue.
