  1. I wouldn't say I'd want rafts to come with a rudder but by level 8 you should be able to craft a rudder and place it on raft to use, I would lock the placement of the rudder though so it cant be placed wrong on not function right. Or at least add an Oar to take the weapon slot that can be used when fighting the winds
  2. it would be nice to see more underwater life as well as moving 'nodes' of fish schools that can be harvested by a hand net made by fibers/cloth. While fishing from a chair/boat or killing large fish should bring a meatier meal school nodes would greatly help players get off the freeports finally having source of vit D.
  3. I agree but the auction houses should only be in freeports and each freeport AH should be separate creating trade routes and greater demand at ports with less of said ship/item/material for sale. Daily quests for certain resources (higher tier of course than freeport) for gold could be added as well.
  4. Also maybe allow for a company to make a claim within a another's claim triggering kind of the same deal but in essence it would make them more of a serfdom with the existing owner making the choice to accept and for what price or outright refusing canceling the new claim. If 24 hours pass on this without existing claim owner responding it should cancel automatically forcing company whose new claim failed to try again or take up arms and challenge the existing claim as above.
  5. My idea for claims was to only allow ONE claim for each company (not per player) and another for an alliance and that over time and by spending gold the circle under that companies/alliances control expands up to a max of owning both land and sea in a single server map tile. As one circle expands and hits another it would block it from taking that circle but if further expanded it would envelope that circle forcing them to ally, surrender and abandon claim, sell the claim, or fight. As for placing another flag to challenge another claim it should just be having a menu option once you open your character sheet that once in another's claim you could select 'alliance', 'surrender and abandon', or 'purchase'. Surrender and abandon you would also initiate a 24 hour battle over the claim if the claim owner refuse to surrender with all respawns in either company/alliance on cooldown timer on respawning till end of battle, encouraging group play and a true fight to the 'death'. Alliance and purchase would trigger a response by claim owner with accept/decline/or price to sell.
  6. take Fortitude and it wont, also limit your running as it burns more food/water as your stamina regens
  7. I agree with the claims needing both more effort as well as resources (gold) also the PVP needs both incentive AND a penalty. I think the addition of a royal 'crown' would solve both paying gold to the crown to expand claim as well as introducing a privateer vs pirate aspect to PVP where you start unflagged 'green' named then you can flag for PVP 'red' named, or be ruthless PKr killing or stealing from greens 'black' named. You would only be flagged black if you are green and kill/steal from another green or red. The green and red players could fight/kill the black pirates without penalty same as flagged reds dueling and flagged black pirates would end up getting a bounty that accumulates persisting death and they can only become green again after paying that bounty to the crown. Also just as stealing from green/red would turn you black, a green/red should be able to loot black storages as its 'pirate treasure' without turning black themselves. This would incentivize players to sail out and hunt pirates storing gold, etc. on their ship/hidden elsewhere. As for being in a company if one player flags black there should be a few days (3-7?) to remove that player from the company or everyone gets flagged black with a bounty appropriate to running with a pirate which will add another punishment to 'ganking' while also adding to the thrill of grouping up and sailing with pirates. If removed that player should only be allowed to join flagged black pirate companies until they pay for their crimes and if they join privateer company that company will have to remove them within the time limit or become pirates the same way. My idea for claims was to only allow ONE claim but over time and by spending gold the circle under that companies/alliances control up to a max of owning both land and sea in a single server map tile. As one circle expands and hits another it would block it from taking that circle but if further expanded it would envelope that circle forcing them to ally, surrender and abandon claim, sell the claim, or fight.
  8. You can build a storage box on raft/ships easy pesy to hold rmats to repair
  9. Right now the players that are lucky enough to login and get a large company are claiming more and more islands without effort or resources. I feel that each company should only be able to plant ONE flag but have the claimed 'bubble' expand both over a period of time and for a certain resource - namely GOLD. Gold is in the game and as of yet there don't seem to be purpose to buy anything so paying to increase the size of your companies claim makes much more sense that just having infinite flags you can plop down for free. It could be part of the gameplay, paying gold to the 'Crown' to expand your domain and in PVP worlds even could make Pirate Claims for Player Killers/Looters and make them function different. Basically they should function as an expanding circle growing until it hits another claim bubble but could envelope that other claim without actually taking it over. The maximum size for a territorial claim should be a single map tile/server giving around 200 companies minimum access to having a claim. This would make abandoning your claim much more likely once you find a better area for resources preventing the game from stagnating or a company from getting far too powerful/owning the whole map.
  10. On PVE worlds the player that contests a claim should be flagged for PVP then those that defend can choose to pack up their goods or flag themselves and fight back. Also the contest should last for at least an hour or until the attacking party is killed/surrender as well as sending an email notification to warn offline players (after linking email).
