I would not have minded paying one in the beginning to keep the development afloat. Now they lost all trust. I am not throwing more money in their direction for another "this time we wont wipe again, promise". Even if they would somehow manage to fix all the issues.. the playerbase moved on and Atlas wasn't special enough to get larger groups to come back anyway.
-
Like this game will ever make it out of EA. And stop talking about development. A cheap powerpoint presentation about a roadmap you never followed isn't called development. Check the patchnotes of the last year.
-
How dare you! This time they really really really mean it! Pinky promise!
-
How unexpected. The "last" wipe wasn't the last wipe. And the roadmap wasnt the actual roadmap. And now we will get "monthly" updates. But they probably promise that THIS time they really really really mean it. Pinky promise.

This game is done. They will just turn the servers off at some point, or nitrado will simply reduced the capacity even more. No reason to wipe anyways, sooner or later the last people doing maintenance will simply forget once, and their stuff will be erased.
-
Good luck waiting for an official response to that Id prolly even try to contact nitrado to let them know..

No reason to necro that topic. It was as dead as the game.
-
Which work? They stopped a long time ago.
-
Spoiler... Its going to be the same patch
-
So many good examples for crowd funded games... Like Star Citizen (or how to make a fortune selling virtual ships you will never fly)... Or Chronicles of Elyria (how to scam people into buying virtual titles and jobs).
-
100% agree with you there. Big potential wasted Last Oasis will have private Servers soon as well!
-
You should give "last Oasis" a shot. It honestly is all Atlas could have been. And they actually have people developing.
-
A lot of them only really spawned after server restarts... No more patches, no more restarts.. less whales

Does Support actually exist for this game?
Grongash replied to Reiver Demon's topic in General Discussion
Never did to begin with. I never had a ticket answered. -
You are kidding, right? That is not an update. Its a joke. It is about as useful as adding a new skin for cats. There is clearly no one left that can do any development whatsoever. That is a leftover staff or intern sitting around with a "programming for dummies" book trying to edit a few lines of code.

Disappearing structures-going to fix this decade?
Grongash replied to RavenRetired's topic in General Discussion
You spend more time with Atlas than they do. Wouldnt count on a fix. -
You do realise when they were supposed to launch, right? The "alpha" is 6+ years behind the planned release of the whole game... Im not defending Atlas, bu they had more playable content at the EA launch than SC has today (And that meas something). SC was a virtual hangar to watch your digital ships you bought for most of its lifetime. Yet they still manage to string idiots along, its amazing tbh.
-
Google what literally means. There is NO active development in Star citizen at all. They keep melting in packages and resell skins and virtual spaceships to idiots. By the sound of it, you are one of them.
-
Reporting it as fraud didnt work for games like DayZ, its not going to do anything for Atlas. Early Access itself is the problem, it needs a tighter rule-set. Not even "Star Citizen" is considered a fraud by now.

Either Do Something, Or Just Cancel the Game Already

They reduced the amount of actual grid Servers a long time ago, if they ever had the number nitrado claimed to use in the first place. -
Either Do Something, Or Just Cancel the Game Already
Grongash replied to CyanicEmber's topic in General Discussion
They did kind of cancel it. They decided to let it die slowly, probably trying to squeeze out a few more bucks along the way with "content patches" and steam sales. Prolly some hat for the cat. Or another pointless skin. -
It is not the bugs, the unfinished features and the resets. It is the fact that they aren't following their own plans, sunk the Atlas ship and left it.
-
The roadmap was nothing but a last low budget PR attempt to string us all along a bit longer. It reminded me a lot of those "shit, i have a PP presentation tomorrow morning" burning the midnight oil situations.
