Last night was sailing through one of the northern islands of M10, and KABLOOEY, hull started taking damage. Bloody hell did it start taking damage, my galleon started spinning, flipping, dancing on it's bow, and ofc, my toon (and bears in the hull) clinging on like possessed beasts. I could see numbers filling the screen, and powerless to control this flippy-doo. Something made me hit the anchor, and everything stopped... I ran around the entire ship repairing every plank, it depleted all my wood reserves and I had a lot of wood on board. Knew I was in for a world of hurt when I drew anchor, when I thought I was ready I did just that, and holy rose, the dancing started, the boat at one point turned upside down, capsised two or three times, flew in the air, then finally landed upside down again... slowly righted itself, and bobbed gently on the sea. Wow heart racing, aimed at DEEP waters, and once I finally composed myself, came in to anchor land side. Gingerly harvested more wood and repaired up. Really lucky I got away with it. Never seen a galleon dance on it's bow before. Never wish to again, either.

personally I'd like to nominate a company / player black list, so you can prevent known miscreants rolling on to your land and continuing their building malpractice. There could then be a conglomerate of island owners subscribing to facilitate a sanction on known problematic players / companies, rather than tearing out hair and playing whack-a-mole with structures that appear over night every night by the same well known troll.

Taken our company Galleon on a long haul mission to explore the atlas map, and see what treasures can be found out there BUT, I have also taken to reporting with tickets, any mal-practice in regards to totally unnecessary spam. I came across M10 last night... one of the Northern Islands.. no names coming from me, but this one chap... has used ship yards to block entire swathes of area, buoy's to block sea area, used gates to block land passage My comment was : If ever there's a case of using structures against their intended purpose, this chap just broke every rule in the book. I'm compiling tickets for the guys to review, as, I'm sure armed with this kind of info, trends can be analysed, and hopefully some kind of action / mechanic can be implemented to deter such stuff. Go check it out, M10, north west island! I'll add screenshot later when I'm back home. Never knew any one person could make such an ugly impression on such a large strip of land!

Grid size is the important part for me, plus resource allocation. Is it only tropic biome for example? Next is mods, no one wants to be punching trees and someone comes along, kills you with a war of the worlds machine!

Is it too early to say EARLY RELEASE? They're playing with game mechanics, already said they're implementing this to see how well received it is. People fundamentally need to realise that we're all 'testing' atlas, after having paid a nominal sum of money for the pleasure. Let the devs play with ideas, and lets play with those ideas and provide feedback. Some people don't deserve to be part of the family because quite frankly they're here to ruin the experience for others, but for the mainstream, we're here to help perfect a pirate game we all subscribed a little bit of our free time to try out. Yeah I know I'm back to the early release cliche, but, it is what it is. These posts provide good feedback, but no need to be abrasive I think the GS team, by now have thick skin.... bit like the tips of my guitar fingers lol.

You're right, but, what would be poetic justice is for the guy to get a 2 week ban, and, the second that timer ticks to zero, we all flock to the island to demolish as much as we can in some kind of community up in arms stampede in demonstration that people acting like this won't be tolerated lol. I'm up for it!

Oh for crying out loud. Sorry OP, thought you meant 'Chinese'. Chine A chine in boating refers to a sharp change in angle in the cross section of a hull. A hull without chines has a gradually curving cross section. The term hard chine indicates an angle with little rounding, where a soft chinewould be more rounded, but still involve the meeting of distinct planes. Chine log construction is a method of building hard chine boat hulls. Hard chines are common in plywood hulls, while soft chines are often found on fiberglass hulls. My BAD! These sharp angles really are detrimental to ship safety, and, those pointy edges should be banned. Well spotted Salty.

Been following posts by Lotus and Salty, and tbh, if land owners (landlords sounds too clunky), were like this more often then they should be given the grace to manage as they see fit. Problem with great responsibility, comes the old cliche of great power. If players could wipe all structures belonging to morons, then the world would be a much much nicer place... however, you give that power to a moron, and, quite quickly you get giant swathes of real estate uninhabitable. How to filter the morons, from the honorable? Quite frankly you can't, unless there's some form of democracy involved, but how the hell that would work, i genuinely have absolutely no clue. Lotus and Salty, keep up the good work, sounds like you have nailed the spirit of land occupancy. You guys should write the book on island management!

Even I can't read the text sometimes... I'm English, like to think that my grip on English is quite adequate.. However, when it comes to captcha.. trying to read that crap sometimes i end up like: ....fail 3 times in a row, and just hit audio.

How are they ruining the game? What needs to happen is players going against the spirit of the game, should be banned. Not a carpet-wide nationality based discrimination ban. If you have evidence that players, regardless of where they're from, are exploiting game mechanics to gain an unfair advantage, report them. Let GS sink their teeth in. People are getting server-wide banned, so report report report using official channels. PS: ban any country that gave GB NIL points in the Eurovision... Cheers!

FOY is a rite of passage, it's a pilgrimage of love / hate. Lovely sailing away 20 years old again. Just need to find the FOY in real life to!
