  1. I think a ship should be treated like a claim type entity. As long as an ACTIVE owner is within a certain circumference it delays damage up to maybe 30 mins or so just to take in consideration of a disconnect or something.
  2. Sleepers need a 1 week inactive timer period. A checksum for this would not be hard to implement. This would not only clear up resources in game checking for persistent objects but it would clear up some claim issues as well.To top it off I think in the pve scheme of things feeding a flag to keep it works as well, but you also force the ones that just like to build huge projects into having to find a way to get money.
  3. Just a suggestion like the title suggest. Most Real Galleons even man of wars/ship of the lines only ran 3 sets of sails and what we have now is eye rape considering what could be a very good looking ship. Can we have a larger design of sails, Id be happy to see them fold outward or even Jibs attached to the foremast rather than what we have now. Rolled this over from reddit by suggestion.
  4. I know some of these suggestions have been very much stressed but in case some people have missed it. Order of importance IMHO as follows. We NEED 2 more region specific servers. If not more in general. You have 4 Officials. 40k each so 160k people. You have well over that playing this game. The lack of space is quickly turning people away that expected to carve their own place in the world. We NEED a small company official server (20 people max) for the ones that hate contesting with mega corps of 200+ players. I for one fit in this category We NEED instanced Free port servers that prioritize putting people in companies in the same instance. We need consistent server zone weather (clear on one side of a zone then massive water spouts on the other) We need to be able to see beyond a zone wall. I know this would cause more network strain but Ive had instances i have slammed into someone parked right on the other side OR if you guys have played Eve online before you know people like to camp NullSec Pipes. It would be harder to do in this case but still a possibility for larger corps that can park boats every few 100 yards at a zone and in turn you basically are saying we cant see one 20 yards in front of us. Some sort of grief protection on PvP servers. Look I get it this is by far a pirate game and PVP happens but just starting out to get a boat and instantly having your ass handed to you by someone that has played forever due to lack of life or whatever the case, just because they can, is disheartening and will drive people to quit as it did with Ark. You did great with freeports, maybe extend these zones 1 block out a bit to allow temporary or public dry docks that after use or a time limit despawn. The region could still be level locked or only allow sloops, or maybe even have public hosing options that is highly taxed and very limited 6x6 space to help drive people out the area. But as it sits you have rafts and sloops being sent to a watery grave Im sure there are more thing i could think up and I may add more later. This is just the beginning of a game that has major potential but is already floundering because of bad decisions.
