Fast travel, or sometimes death and respawn, will fix it. It happens with random items now and again.

This thread is about Fast Travel, not defending bases. Try not to wander off point. If I have, say, a couple of bases on different islands on a PvE, PvP or PvPvE server the last thing I want is to to spend precious gaming time staring at the sea, doing a fairly trivial but needed task such as checking on buildings and tames, then staring at the sea as I sail back. I don't get a lot of gaming time and I prefer to use it as efficiently as possible.

As in real life they do it for the shits and giggles and because they love ruining someone's day.

Yawn, this again. Sorry, but I don't want to have to sail for most of the evening just to check on various bases I might have around the map.

The Claim system has been garbage since release day. I've been waiting in the hopes that - against all the evidence of cock-up after cock-up by the Devs - they fixed it, but it's been a waste of time. If I can't claim something, build on it and not have it mysteriously stolen out from under me, there is zero point in playing at this stage of the game. Core mechanics are just botch jobs that they try and wallpaper over and continuously fail to actually do anything about. I'll be back in a year, even two, if that's what it takes, but I see no point in wasting time on the game right now.

Released Patches and Verified Notes What more do you want? Yes, sometimes patch notes take 10 minutes to appear, but I don't class that as anything important. They DO give verified notes on released patches, which is all we need.

The large gate is VAST, and in Ark was for Brontosaurus, etc. It also looks ugly as fk. There should be a Medium-sized gate which would be fine for Elephants and Rhino. Later today I will be playing with elevators to see if I can lift an Elephant up to roof level, which is 5 wall heights up. If it works I'll park it up there. I just loathe that fugly gate.

It's not finding them that's annoying, it's having the same type of materials scattered at random in the Inventory. Grouping hide, thatch, flint, etc., together in the Inventory would be so much neater.

On the rare occasions I bother with food and water for a sea voyage, that's what I do.

PvE is often not that different in these regards. Crazy, isn't it!

As in Ark, the real fun, interaction and challenge is on Unofficial servers. I play on a 6x4 PvP/PvE server, x3 rates and only one mod, which is a stacking mod. There are around 60 to 65 islands, which include all the Biomes, all of which means a LOT of room for players to Claim and build on. Players are civil, don't hog the land and are happy to trade and chat with each other. There are Companies, of course, but also solo players such as myself, and everyone gets along. It's a nice change to NOT have people pillaring all around you to restrict you to a tiny little spot of land, and it's equally nice to see all your ships still afloat after logging out for the night, two things you'll never be able to count on when playing on an Official server. I play less and less on Official servers, or as I call them The Griefing and Exploiting Servers.

Eating berries would have been a bug or incorrectly implemented.

I crash if Fast Travelling more than a couple of zones. No Sextant buff used.

That's why everyone uses a Sickle. Very efficient and no need to throw points away on the melee skill. Strange that a Gathering tool is the best way to kill a Bee.

What, you never read this forum? Never read the Steam forum? Never read ANY ingame chat? The topic crops up constantly and I find it hard to believe you never noticed it. Never noticed you had to repair your Raft/Sloop a lot in Freeport? Hard to believe you never took notice of that, either.

Melee and Armour are worthless. I got two-shotted by a Lvl 1 Tiger that attacked from behind me while I was wearing a mix of Plate and Hide armour. Didn't even get to land an attack on it as I was dead before I turned around.
