They also turned it off again prity sharpish and then turned it back on, if I was a betting man the auto decay was "meant" to just get rid of the piller\foundation spam not ships and base structures, but rather than hold up a hand and say we stuffed up sorry about that, it's been brushed under the carpet so to speak

Just went looking for this kind of issue had the same thing happen 6 brigs and a number of sloops gone along with 2 subs and a ton of resources on each ship, no time or reason we have one ship without crew on another Island and have not set foot on it in weeks that's still there but all of the missing ships were in home port but we have not set foot on them with the new berry/flag feeding option seems very poor not to have an explanation of what's going on from the Devs

Must say I agree with the original poster, not seen the post previously, my group "had" quite a few ships in harbour, we have been all been jumping back to main base to top up troughs and since the new flag feeder, the flag so not physically needing to board all of the ships, lost 7 ships a mix of brigs and sloops, but mainly brigs and 2 subs, ironically we have 1 ship on an island that's not been touched for months as we pulled the crew off to another ship and left it sat there as easer than pulling back to main base, that still sat there. New flag QOL great news but for the love of god reset the timers on all the ships when a group member is in the area, or its a case of having to board each and every one, kind of makes the QOL change pointless as in I still have to say a personal hello to each ship

  5. Hi been playing from day 1 and a number of things strike me as dam annoying and just plain unnecessary on a day to day bases. Taming please rethink this, having come from the Ark universe, the taming system on there is miles better and more enjoyable, track, trap and knock-out the animal, shove its favourite food in and fight off all nasties to have a perfect tame it works, its fun fending off whatever rocks up. Atlas take on this is less fun, try to almost kill the animal before the bola is used and hopefully drag it into a trap, then try and find a spot where you can feed the animal, and hope it does not spin around at hit you, still no idea if this is an intended feature or a bug? When the animal’s intent on killing, you pray you have a bed nearby to re-spawn on or you lose the taming efficiency already gained that loss of tame efficiency is way to quick. This is frustrating and in no way “fun” for myself and other I have played with. Breeding It’s a little better with the ice option but again why lock the areas that you can breed animals in, makes no sense to me, its never really been explained why this has been implemented, it just seems to be a needless complication to the game mechanics for the sake of something to do? Just one to reconsider and perhaps let you breed in whatever biome you are in within out the faf of getting/making ice. Ship weight, can we make cannon balls lighter, by the nature of the beast the Kraken needs some planning and a fair few cannonballs, seems counter-productive to load up to max ish weight on cannonballs alone, it would help if they weighed a bit less to allow a reasonable amount to be taken without the ship slowing to a crawl don’t see this having a negative impact for PvP players either. Ships speed, seen a number of posts on this already but it would be nice to have more speed when heavy especially. Perhaps a new quest to unlock a power option like the merchant ship we see from time to time, where going against the wind is then possible but costs a fair amount of fuel like the sub. NPC Pirate ships It would be nice to see normal NPC pirate ships that can be boarded and captured, similar to the ships of the dammed but normal variants of them, you would then have a reason to get up close and personally, and in PvE players would have a reason to use the grapple harpoon and the chance of capturing a superior ship would make hunting them a worthwhile endeavour! More new quests Need something to aim for extra stat bonuses etc, and receive more experience for completing them, grinding maps is not much fun solo and in groups can be too easy, but players need a route to level up in a reasonable time, if you don’t hunt maps or kill Alphas the XP rates pretty dire if you doing mundane tasks building ships, farming etc. General threat level, Not much on the islands in general that will cause a panic once your up past the starter levels, that’s one of the unknowns in Ark that something may wander along in your direction that you either need to kill or kite away from your base, the odd !! threat would be potentially interesting to deal with IF you’re in the area to deal with it. Pulling items from containers, What an utter pain in the rear to collect all of the resources and then have to shuffle them around between the benches, a pull function would be a good idea and make crafting a little easer as the hard parts getting the items to begin with on the better level items. Airships Now that would be an interesting addition, allowing players to reach the higher peaks easer without building elaborate ramps to get to map locations that now decay with the latest changes so it means that others can’t benefit from the effort of others, nice difficult quest similar to the sub but for the sky, a galleon of the sky’s so to speak. Meat Can we stack this higher than 20, it spoils to fast and is a pain as it stands currently, a higher stack would give a longer overall retention rate. Crabs Stamina light the elephants seems a bit low, not helped by the fact they only eat spoiled meat and there is no quick rate to create spoiled meat for them. Scuba gear Another potential unlock, like the sub, it would be nice to ride the crabs under water but not currently viable Clipping Can we have a more relaxed clip policy its difficult in some areas to get a flat floor without going under the surface, It would be good to have a foundation Hight adjust to “lift” the start up a bit, single player seems to be introducing that policy? Power stone looting Can we stop that, seen loads of examples where a boss is killed and then people camp the entrance hoping to pick-up a free key, allow the looting of everything else bar the key, if you don’t earn it you don’t get it! Animal variety More please, still looking for an Anki type animal that can extract metal from normal rocks would help on islands with no metal nodes. Ship hatches Cargo hatches would be a good idea nice to load animals in and out and when closed keeps prying eyes out. Drops Give items sometimes, not just blueprints would make the effort of collecting them more worthwhile.

  7. Hi Devs logged in tonight to find one of my Brigs gone from my home port and a new tamed giraffe gone. Looking on the bed fast travel i could see the ship a server away fast travel to the ship, it took a few attempts to get on it and the ship was moored at sea, no hull damage and I had to raise the anker to move, so the ship was in effect "docked" also had one of my tames outside the base about 3/400 meters away, and was defo inside when logging off last night, full size images available if it helps ;).
  8. Hi Devs just had an issue where transferring a bear to a boat, i watched it land on the boat, ghost through the boat and through the ocean floor underneath, a few minutes latter there was a death message advising the bear had died. issue happened on EU PvE at roughly 00:10 on 25/02/2019.
  9. ok current observations levelling the animals, there seems to be a discrepancy between what the game is telling you the level will move to, and the actual level obtained, its been like this since at least the 20th of January when I first noticed it see pick. The available levels of animals so far in my wanderings bar the untameable islands i have only seen mid 20s animals wandering about where are the level 100s what are the Max tame level?? In Ark its a case of rock, paper, scissors. you obtain a small animal, level him up, tackle larger animals until you can start taming them, tame them and move up the food chain with a Giga/Dragon type animal being the ultimate goal, we don't seem to have that mechanic within Atlas, and that's a shame as it helps both PvE and PvP game play and also helps with the endgame Boss type creatures as your survivability is improved. Animals for me are the Swiss army knife of game play, I am looking for a combat, meat gather (Bear) a resource harvester (Elephant for Wood, Bear for fibre not tried the Giraffe yet for thatch rhino stone metal) but I am looking for animals that are better at it than myself with maxed out gather rates to warrant the animals capture / upkeep costs. it would be good if the rhino had the ability to obtain some metal from normal rock like the Anki does in Ark, as finding metal in some areas is a real chore, my main issues with the rhino is the massive drop in stamina when running, and you have to run as its wayyyy to slow to walk anywhere, so run , stop, run, stop and pray to god that nothing aggressive pops up or your in dodo, the rhino attack radius also seems poor, I have lost animals when being attacked from the sides and then being unable to turn and face then head-on as needed, even jumping off does not always allow them to turn sufficiently to face the threat. Water tames, where are they? a crock or shark would be a god send for wreck explorations and general fish harvesting. The disappearing animals, I have had an elephant vanish when on a boat, moved a bear and literally turned my back for a few seconds, turning back, gone poof, no bouncing animation with it trying to wander away, it did not go under or in the ship just poof, also had a similar issue with a bear but on this occasion it was there but invisible bar for its poop, and if you tried to walk through where it was it would stop you, the only solution was to have an animal attack myself and then the bear reappeared to attack that animal! Ghost Crew Is Atlas trying to be environmental friendly? with the crews cleaning the ocean floor I have had this issue multiple times jump on the ship and no crew, check the ship and I can see the crew are on-board but if you swim down to them they wont follow or respond to commands, after a server restart they are back where they need to be, also had a similar issue where you move the ship the crew appear to either stay where the ship was or jump off to the horizon a server jump does not seem to reset that issue. Breeding / Hitching Posts Can we get a hitching post please going back to pens seems a backwards step? Trying to breed it would be helpful rather than saying the area is un-compatable to say move to type X, or introduce a temperature control unit similar to Arks aircon units, this would also allow the baby's long term to have a controlled environment for maturing in, the Penguins would be an ideal candidate for that task. Rearing the baby's have you considered a potential quest to obtain a farmer type NPC to takeover the chore of feeding and looking after the baby's, again a slight twist on the Ark S+ solution and Gold powered rather than a generator, you could extend the idea to cover a farmer for the crop plots as well? Rearing times, do they have to be so longgggg again, an evening to go from a baby to an adult would suit smaller/solo groups rather than the mega tribes who have 24/7 members available to hand feed baby's. Taming Larger cadges, ideally we could do with this and have it usable in claimed areas, something elephant sized would be ideal as currently if your on a fully claimed island and solo you need to be on the back of a bear, bola in hand and pray to god you don't get killed when trying to feed the animal, and then have to run back from the ship if you are killed, hoping the bear does not kill the tame when its free and attacks it, the Ark mechanic of knocking them out was better in this respect, as you need to protect the sleeping animal from predators, perhaps a "taming" set of armour that would block the damage obtained as a quest would help with this? Fire Elementals ETC Having run the gauntlet of the fountain of youth once so far, what an utter pain in the bottom, dodging the packs of Gorgons, elementals, level 150 animals, etc was. Throwing myself at this time after time after time was not in my opinion a fun evening, just frustration, I have not yet seen many videos where a successful solution to this was seen other than very slowly shooting your way through them, frustratingly even a support ship does not seem to be the answer here, ideally I would like a tame that can take some of this on and survive a few rounds? keep up the good work

  11. Because the flags do not add anything to PvE if they work as intended PvP would benefit but i don't see it being relevant for PvE.
  12. to be honest I would prefer an 8 digit pin 4 is way to easy to hack, and agree that all benches etc need to be protected, I have all my stuff in a locked room but think I will move them to another higher floor if the buggers are glitching through the walls now. And yes it would be nice to get a clarification from the devs i regards to what exactly is acceptable behaviour in a PvE environment, or will we be getting a lock pick tree to better break into other peoples stuff

In PvE get rid of the flags altogether and have the ARK model where your unable to build within X mount of blocks, as mentioned above its a mechanic that's not really effective in PvE as no combat to enforce, or when you raid a claim your completely reliant on players being unable to login for 3 days, god help you if you need to go away on holiday or hospital. Flags seem to be a "good idea" as with many things within the Atlas world it makes no real sense but has been added to make it less Ark like and its there for the sake of it, PvE by its nature is a different beast and watching some of the streams where they are actively taking claims and raids are lasting over 24 hours because of a few protectors jumping from bed to bed as the flags seem to chain link so move to one protect them all in that chain its not working very well for PvP either At the end of the day Ark has a lot of good mechanics now after many years of tweaking but the baby seems to have been thrown out with the bath water to make Atlas "different"

Hello Devs The mini game, can we remove this from combat situations please, I personally don't see the point in its function in combat where you are trying to look/dodge the opponent, avoid hitting the scenery and also trying to hit a gap in the reload mini game? Non combat its more an inconvenience than an issue, but combat defo needs a rethink, it certainly not adding any "excitement" to the game for me and from the many twitch streams watched others seem to feel the same way
