  1. If I lost my beach house and stuff I collected I am gonna call it quits. I know its early access, but on PVE the whole point is to make bases and get some trading going and since I hardly can do that at all I lose my interest in the game.
  2. Okay taking a break our server grid got timeout like three time in a row now with rollbacks...
  3. Oooof... They removed the skill cap? Wont it create a huge clusterf*ck in the freeports now when people are not really pushed to leave the island?

  5. Ofcourse it will. I know this is a MMO and they are testing stuff, but this seems to me like a little bit of an oversight. Especially thinking about players that like to run solo. Still I will try to do my part and see how it works when I want to build my first sloop soon.
  6. EA or not it makes no damn sense to cap skill gain like that. If anything it should be the oposite. Opening the level cap and letting people test out the skills and weed out to powerfull combos of obtainable skill and shuffle them around for the future, more stable and wipe safe versions of the game.
  7. This is a big yikes. I guess the main intention is to create a trade in "skills". Like creating profesions so people can trade between eachother with stuff they can craft. The only problem is the bottleneck of trully specializing in one job at the cost of some combat nodes. This is a big problem for solo players tho since the boat skills take up easily 20 skill points by themself.
  8. Good to hear, but I am not gonna lie... I dont feel very encouraged to grind my butt off and come back to a destroyed base while I was a sleeper. I completely get the apeal of the PVP servers, but right now I cant see myself having fun in there.
  9. Once that happens I gladly hop into PVP. And sadly for now there is not even 20% of the NPC stuff in the game yet which was shown in the trailer.

  11. On top of that it is early alpha and looking at the claming system I can easy see a wipe of the servers rather soon. So have fun building your cities I guess
  12. Its a terrible design choice by the Atlas devs no doubt about it. It should start with a flag and then be upgraded to increase the building area locked to skills and level. Then after reaching the max level of that particular claimed area, the company can further expand with another flag and start the upgrade process again costing resources to upgrade AND maintain.
  13. You are on NA and he and me were talking about EU pve. You have a legit big company, but on Eu that island is held by 4 or 5 players with a few random people around the leftover beach spots. Your incentive and goals are cool with building up a city, but the shit I seen on EU pve...
  14. There is already no land on anything except a few tundra island with close to no vegetation and especially 0 fiber sources AND on some desert islands with a spawn of 25 predators per square centimeter. One flag for one person with a high level unlock to a second flag. Thats it. Easy fix.
  15. I spent two days trying to find a spot on an island that is somewhat okay. Not a chance. The worst is like the screen shot provided on an huge island with 20 flags per person also so positioned, that you cant squeeze in between. I was on that island. its a beautifull island with multiple fresh water sources. You see this on almost every bigger island where a few people control it with 10+ flags each. THIS. NEED. TO. CHANGE. Also for the love of god... Add fiber sources on tundra islands.....
