In J13 there were heck ton of Cobras, lions, wolves and crocs. At one moment I was attacked by 5 cobras 3 lions. I haven't noticed predators except crocs in Equatorial regions.

Have you even played the game in the first place? A whale drops 1k - 2k gold depending on type. And treasure maps are easy to do solo. I farmed 10k gold in a day just by killing whales in polar region.

I hope they add claim flags to PvE. Slavery is better than resources being blocked by griefers.

Wipe is necessary for the changes they are making, but removing claim system from PvE means people will just spam foundations and will block resources and building upkeep wont be that hard for a big company of griefers. So PvE might be a total failure in next patch. I maybe wrong but from the past experience from this game I don't have my hopes up for PvE.

6x is for testing purpose and they are doing it because they want to change base harvesting rates, this will help them analyze and will also let people do whatever they want in these 20 days.

You will only be able to spawn on every server when the game relaunches in March after everthing is settled they will probably remove that. It's done to not overload freeports.

That is not how it works. If they were only revamping claim flags it was possible. But they are making changes to the existing map, adding 1-2 islands per region, changing the Eastern Tundra biome completely also adding underwater trenches in Golden Age Ruins server. So wiping only flags will mess up the existing server code. All they can do so that the game doesn't break after update is keep user character and XP. all other things needs to be wiped to have the game run perfectly. But they are not keeping players' characters because the devs are considering a relaunch rather than update.

They mentioned server wipe.........wiping "Server" means wiping all the data that is on it except the code ofc. and the devs clarified during the stream that everything will be wiped. Its a relaunch rather than an update

20 day protection is what killed PvE servers. Bcoz people just login, reset and leave. Offline raiding and people using OP duped items, too large tribes which rekt smaller tribes and helpless solo players killed PvP.

Galleon of the damned has very low turning radius as compared to the normal galleon as seen in the stream. Considering the ships will spawn in a group it will be a pain to maneuver a galleon through them and obviously a brig can't take on the galleon of the damned without armor. And it might have the ability to insta 180° turn like all other SoTD. So what do others think about this sotd change?

I also cried because I will lose all the stuff, but now after watching the playback of stream its necessary for them to wipe the server to implement the changes so most of these post are done after seeing the server wipe post and not after watching the stream. So watch the stream or wait for captains log. Rempving claims from PvE is really gonna be hard on players because of foundations spam. And the upkeep won't be difficult for a company to maintain so we'll have to wait and see. And if the upkeep on PvE structures is not difficult then after 2 days of the March update people will demand a wipe. Again.

There are no claim flags now. 1 flag and you own entire island. And it costs upkeep for PvP. Don't know why they didn't include this in PvE.
