Sometimes it´s hard to accept you made a mistake. but wildshot-grapecard could now show us real greatness by simply accept the fact that they messed up their own game and just remove this dodo-poo idea like atari got rid of their E.T. game. A little shame on them would be quite appropriate.

Please don´t get me wrong DRAGOON14TH. You are absolutely right that there could be a huge performance increase transforming the project. But the amount of time to do it and the problem that a lot of dependencies are useless for Atlas(and a lot would be necessary but a lot of work to do) is too time consuming and cause of that too expensive. And yes you are right, DnL used a very early ARK build and they got rid of the Problem soon, btw that is a perfect example that there is no simple converting of projects.

I´m on unity, sorry. I get your point, but this way you will only have it on a new engine but you will poorly benefit from it. And i doubt that this will work with a project this big without messing the classes completely up.

I think you are aware of the fact, that this would have meant to start coding from scratch. There is no such thing as simple retooling when changing the engine. This game just wouldn´t exist cause no one would pay the costs for it.

So why not simply remove the player after a period of time?

The same way they sneaky came back with the SOTD, but now in an overkill way. If this is on purpose, i think they hate us players, if it is not on purpose they just don´t care about us players. Can´t tell which is worse.

Server crashing due to too many players on one server can not be "fixed", it´s inherent in the system. The used netcode is not intended for so many players. The only fix is to remove that mechanism cause there is no way making it work. Beside that this FOY thing is utterly useless nonsense and adds nothing to the game.

Maybe this works: delete the content of this folder: steamapps\common\ATLAS\ShooterGame\Saved\LocalProfiles

I have to correct you with this: "This game is using the same engine as ARK,thats all." When you start an unreal 4 project it´s called "shooter game" the project is then a part of a C++ project where you can put your unreal blueprints and connect them. I the case of Atlas it is a two year old ARK build as basis with all the gameplay relevant connections. The did NOT start a new unreal project, they took a previous ARK build. That is the reason why a lot of things are bugged, cause if you have a project this big it is very difficult to have all relevant instances in sight. You can´t just change something anywhere cause all is connected in any way. A project this big would drive me mad. It´s like flying a 747 blind with no arms and no clue of flying a plane.

2. no they are not tamable, if the devs have not forgotten to remove this like they did in ARK extinction. There you could tame high level wolfs till they fixed it.

I guess you´ve never been into ARK, aren´t you? I whish i had the kind of optimism you still seem to have. I don´t want to offend you, but what makes a lot of people angry is, that the dev team is making the same mistakes over and over again for years now. I don´t think this has anything to do with being spoiled (little rude to call some spoiled btw), to hope the game moves in a good direction. And never forget: all this players who complain about the game in this forum don´t do this just for killing time. They actually play the game and just feel like the game needs a little push in the right direction from time to time. And to tolerate the concerns of others is the opposite of calling them spoiled!

The real submarines atm are the developers. It´s very unpolite to fart that loud and stinky it annoys everyone, and then go on a submarine dive. tststs.

Just to keep this topic up. FOY broke the game even more than SOTD. (SOTD)I still don´t understand why they invented them, then nerfed them to have them now back even more annoying?!

I totally agree with you! The point is, it is not impossible to do this FOY crap and get the buff, but where is the fun doing that? It´s like doing the tax declaration, i have to do it but i guess there is no one, accept mentally challenged people, who has any fun doing it. It´s just half baked utterly useless bullshit. And sneaky putting back the SOTD the sledgehammer method makes me wonder if they like their own game?

There are internet users, like me, who refuse any use of sites like twitter, Facebook, Instagram and so on, you name it. And we do that for a good reason. My u Matrix does a good job blocking all content of such sites and i´m not willing to put exceptions in my script blocker just to read the Atlas news if there is an OFFICIAL WEBSITE. If twitter would be the only possibility, so be it and i would not argue. But it is not. Could i help you with this answer?
