Maybe try out some singleplayer games?

This is fking early access! Stop making the same QQ-threads and start using the freaking suggestions forums. They are made to make - guess what? SUGGESTIONS!
    Feel free to post there.

Dont come here, cry and shout "I dont like that! Change it, so it pleases me!"

I did suggest SP and LAN server in the suggestion section.

As people lose interest in Atlas, they will simply quit and the population will continue to drop. Single player mode would provide another alternative to quiting or being at the mercy of private server owners.

Maybe try to stay on topic.

Thinking that communities can police themselves is like thinking you could get rid of your local police department.  How long do you think it will take before the criminals and gangs start making life hell for the common folks that just want to live their life and be left alone?

Beside the great literature Lord of the Flys, I also like to use the Walking Dead as an example.

How can this be justified by "guilty by association"
Where I´m from and how our parents raise us and soceity by all means, there is no justification for group punishments. Now i do not know where you are from but to me its straight fucked up.

This is exactly how Ark was managed or mis-managed. Whole tribes were either dev wiped or banned.

Atlas needs better game mechanics. Otherwise leaving it in the hands of the players just turns it into Lord of the Flys.

Make sure they’re ‘good guys’, you have some very toxic players out there.

Relying on human nature instead of game mechanics isn't the best idea for the longevity of the game.

Look at games like Wurm Online. It has amazing systems for internal guild permissions and land claim. Very human/player run servers, but NEEDED game mechanics in play to facilitate.

maybe just maybe you should have asked in global chat first instead of just assuming they had left it neutral on purpose ? then moaning that they changed it 😕

Global chat is only for one grid, not the entire server.

The Devs should have added MMO type communication systems. Better chat, private messages, mail boxes for offiline messages for the various timezones.

This isn't in-siding i'm not allowed to play ever again i didn't lose mats and a few ships i can work to get back. If you cant see how this is different then idk man.

The OP asked about people joining tribes/companies with the intention of getting them banned. This is insiding. There is more to insiding than just this one part.

make an account and join a large crew and spam racist signs i can get all those players banned for no reason how is this fair?

That's called insiding. And it's an established strategy.

  8. If the devs are going for a multicultural Multilanguage game, why are there no game systems for trading? No auction house (either distributed across all Freeports or localized forcing travel)?

This was described as Ark meets Eve Online, which is a joke. Since the devs didn't bother adding any real MMO game systems.

Chat (copy and paste from Ark)

company (copy and paste from Ark)- same issues and flaws

Trading system....umm throwing stuff on the ground.

THAT SYSTEM ONLY FAVORS THOSE WHO GOT THERE FIRST ON DAY ONE AND IS BAD FOR THE GAME AND BAD TO GET NEW PLAYERS!

This was completely predictable. WC/GS repeating history.

They haven't figured out the concept of limits. Stat caps. Etc.

Also, PvE is a joke. (Ark or Atlas) it's not a real mode just an afterthought (cash grab)

but the forums favor those who support the game no matter what and not those who have issues with the lay out of the game.

Blind devotion to anything is bad (the white knights).

There should be constructive criticism. Not personal attacks.

This is supported to be an MMO which means it should be balanced and appeal to a wide demographic of players.  At this point it simply dosen't. (Evidence for my statement is WOW getting so big cause it appealed to gamers and non-gamers)

The Devs seem to not care for Solo player and small groups,,,,,single player option would be great but try telling that to the Devs.

I am not even asking for a Single player mode (client is the server). Just LAN only support. Server running on either same or separate PC and connect directly over LAN.

I bought and refunded the game, cause my isp blocks the ability to run the kind of server required by Atlas. I was told by others in this community that mobile isp don't support NAT Loopback.

I can easily run Ark directly over LAN.

Now a real SP mode would be great and easier, but not really required if the devs provide LAN support with clear instructions.

Region lock and use a known VPN database to VPN block. You can also limit by ping like Lynx suggested. All things that can be easily done. All things that aren't done just to sell copies.

I don't get the number of people buying Atlas thinking it will be different from Ark, in terms of server (mis)management, bad decisions, anarchy/exploits/etc, and a non-support support ticket system.

He would have a point if region locking would actually work, but countless games and developers have proven that it isn’t possible. The only people it might have effect on are the ones that don’t know anything, and I’m not sure those are the ones you need to worry about.

While an IP region lock can easily be circumvented with a VPN. A ping based region lock would be effective.

Once I saw some people sinking ships in a lawless region, I made Videos of them and a lot of Screenshots, I made a ticket and reported them with all informations and proofs I had. Yesterday I was back on this Server and saw they are all still playing... so no reason to report griefers....seems like nothing happens to them. Sinking Ships in PVE with weight is not a bug its a feature.

Has no one learned from Ark?
