That is awesome to hear! My guild and I decided to just get a set of private servers for our use. Custom world, no issues with people, land, or anything else and no more character issues.

I was able to make some sail templates this morning on our private server and get a few paintings on sails. I started by painting each sail completely black then saving it as a name, exiting the game, and following the guide located https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1611661732 I ended up making a company painting for the raft, small handling and speed sails and med handling and speed sails. I was not happy how the 1:1 image on the handling sails stretch a little bit, but the speed sails turn out great. Let me know if you guys want pictures and templates.

So I have spent the morning following/reading different resources in an attempt to paint our sails. This is going to be a bit harder than I imagined. Even after following all the advice of others, my finished product (essentially a circle) still stretches out on the Med Handling sail (looks like a triangle). If someone had templates, I sorta do, then it might work better. I am not sure while Wildcard/Grapeshot cannot just release the templates to us.

I did run Validation of the files a few days ago and it stated I was missing "something". Come to think of it, I have not had the bug since. Try running that.

Here is hoping! Although I will say I have not had the issue since my last post here.

It sounds like I should prepare for the future possibility of restarting my character, Makes me VERY glad I gave my wife the company. Keep me (AND THE DEVS) updated if you discover anything else related to this bug, and I will do the same.

I am so very sorry to hear that this continues happening to you. So far I have been able to somewhat work around it by my above mentioned post. That is all that has worked for me. Sometimes I have to restart steam 3-5 times, and the smallest amount of time I have been able to stay off steaM IS 40 MINUTES. I made my wife the company leader in case I have to ditch my level 20 character for a new level 1. It would be nice if we saw a post on this from any dev.

I have had no end to frustration with this bug. I am the only one in my company with this problem. The issue is I am also the leader of the company. It seems every third or fourth time I die, it wants me to remake my character. Sometimes closing the game and exiting and restarting steam helps, other times just logging out for 8 hours helps. At this point I am hoping to log in one more time and make my wife the leader of the company then just regain the 12 levels again with a new character. I really am lost at this point.
