  1. Our elephant and rhino in H7 always stayed on our ship (our base is not safe because of snakes STILL going through walls). I fed them there every two or three days via the feeding trough on our ship. The last time I did this was on saturday, where I went on the ship, fed the crew, then went directly between those two tames to the trough, got stuck on the elephant's tusk and then moved him to a better position on the ship. Then I fed our other tames and crew on the other ships and farmed ressources, so I was in this area for at least an hour before I went back to our other base in D14. Today I logged on and ONLY these two tames in H7 auto-decayed and were claimed by another person. How is it even possible that a) the decay timer of 7 days hasn't resetted on saturday where I stood right beside them and even rode one of them, and b) how could this person got on our ship to claim them?

Most needed building piece in the game?

I almost forgot - it should be possible to snap pillars on corners of both floors and ceilings. The workaround with the fence support a) gets annoying and b) doesn't work on ceilings :<

Most needed building piece in the game?

For me the most important thing is a gate for elephants/rhinos/giraffes, but not with the size of the damn behemoth gate... Also I like to see triangle foundations and ceilings with a 90° angle. And some more decorative items - primarily usable hammocks (placeable on land and on ships) would be awesome.
  4. Network: Official Grid: all Description of issue: Taming of elephants seems buggy, as the hit of their tusks also hits the tamer when standing behind his legs, behind a wall ... it simply hits everyone through everything, and it is almost impossible to tame it with high efficiency. The giraffe rotates 90 degrees when it is bola'd and then gets aggroed - so if you bola it and then want to feed it and stand too near, it randomly rotates 90 degrees without animation and hit the tamer in his back. Both issues are not necessarily gamebreaking, but really annoying. Any screenshots or video demonstrating the bug: - Repro steps if available/applicable: see description CCC (if location specific, please include the CCC with your report): -
  5. Network: Official Grid: all Description of issue: Since the last mega patch, offline company members constantly fall overboard when he/she logged off on the ship and the ship then is moved.Sometimes it happens when the ship is moved only for a few hundred meters, but it also had happened to us when our brig was sailed to another grid. When logging in while the ship is moving with full speed, we still fall overboard during the loading screen and then find ourselves in the ocean. 6. On H7, pre patch it was hardly possible to tame something here because as soon as the tame got bloody, 10 vultures rushed and killed it. We had a real vulture plague here, and way too many crocodiles and snakes. Horses and Wolves were still common. For god's sake they fixed the overspawning - we now have less vultures, crocodiles and snakes (and the snakes now wriggle regularly through railings...), and some elephants. Seagulls and crows are everywhere - especially bugged in our ships - and horses and wolves spawn now extremely rare. I personally think they adjusted the animal spawns in the same way for the whole Atlas, which is dumb, because pre patch some islands like ours were extremely overloaded with hostile animals, and others were way too peaceful. So for me a readjustment would be really welcome, but then specifically adjusted for single islands. Yeah, I know, too much work...

    ressource respawn

I mean, I know that they do that so that no one can block resource nodes on lawless. But what's the point with that solution? If someone build a house around the nodes, nobody can access it either. Seems not to be the best solution for me I wish they would implement something like ARK's AllowCaveBuildingPvE - instead of caves of course for ruins and on top of mountains to prevent resource blocking.
  8. I hope I'll explain that right, as english is not my native language: The handling sail is useful when the wind goes in the wrong direction, as it catches the wind in more angles. The weight sail should compensate the negative effect on speed only when your ship is heavy loaded, similar to skilling weight on the ship. My personal opinion? We normally use those sails only on brigs (2x speeds an one of those) and pre patch on the galleon (4x speeds and both of them) - the handling sail works, but you can forget about it and simply sail zigzagways. The effect of the weight sail is barely noticeable for us. I don't know if the effects are that much stronger if you only use weight or handling sails on the same boat. At this point, I would stick to speed sails every time, but nevertheless build one of them on the boats for the style

    Elephant taming broken?

... and build a bed right beside you, that thing hits like a damn truck in every direction What for us did the trick: don't use doorframes, it seems to work best with small gates. And as Senorghost already said, crawl into his armpit to feed (of course he will hit you). And sometimes, it gives you the prompt to feed and nothing happens - then you have to make one step further to the elephant to be able to press E. Elephant taming straight from hell at the moment...

    Ceilings disappearing again.

For us, it was also fixed for around a few days or a week now. At the weekend, I had built some traps on other grids to get some tames. Demolished it, drove home - again some ceilings from our footbridge were gone. We were only two players in our company left at the moment, and the other one was surely offline. So for me it seems that this bug appears even if you pickup or demolish structures in another grid.

I don't know why you sound so aggressive, I said my opinion and with the current system - if you don't want to pay 1300 gold per day, then simply look for a smaller island. Oh, wait - there is none left.

Making a survey would at least save Grapeshot, because then players can blame only themselves. I either want or don't want taxes, I simply don't want to farm so that others can build their base. As said, if the tax amount is additionally generated, I don't care. But I'm not sure if the tax system will stay in either way. Remember, as they first announce the new PVE system, it was planned that all islands on PVE would be lawless.

PvE foundation spam and resource blocking

Ha! Yes, it's Grapeshots game - although not their idea - and there is the problem. The Grapeshot dudes aren't the ones who play the game, and of course, they don't pay for it. So, as it is with EVERY COMPANY in the whole economy world, the way to success is to deliver a product the buyer wants. Not the dev.

Pirates don't pay taxes in my opinion. I mean - they are pirates. A lot of "Arrrrrr" and rum and parrots. And even the description on Steam says "fantasy". They come up with mythical creatures and electric powered motorboats. So why implementing a real life tax system?

PvE foundation spam and resource blocking

I have ideas, but I don't know if they were possible. My first step would be readjusting the point system, so that larger companies can afford the big islands which mostly have all kind of resources. In return, owning two islands where one is quite smaller than the other, the smaller one should give some kind of disadvantage to the company to encourage the large companies to have only the big islands. For people who are not interested in having their own island, there could be some kind of ingame rating for settlements from people who built on a foreign settlement. This would encourage owners to act nice to settlers if they really want them. In the past, there was a big discussion with the taxes, more precisely, if the amount of taxes is subtracted from the harvested amount of ressources, or if it is additionally generated. I'm not sure how the discussion ended, but it feels like the taxes amount is subtracted. Why don't make it the other way? It wouldn' t be such a disadvantage for settlers, and the island owner would still have his taxes. But can't estimate if this would be too much. Nevertheless, I prefer the old system with tweaks.

Oh, completely forgot about that. Taxes should be removed and building on nodes and ruines has to be blocked (as it is possible in ARK to prevent someone to build on certain areas, this should not be a problem).

Is that so? Then tell me: Take the old system, remove sea claims, limit the number of claim flags per player to 1, limit the company size to 200 or maybe 250 (I'm not sure what the previous max size of company members was, 500?), take away the ability to anchor ships in front of others shipyards and take the new map with new islands. How should anybody piss me off then? It's my land, I'm the only one who can build there, nobody could block my shipyard. Sounds better to me than to depend on someone's mood.

PvE foundation spam and resource blocking

Dude, I described you my problems with the claiming system in detail before. It's not because one dude pissed me off. And again: when searching through the forums and reddit, you may find some guys who talked to the island owner, he agreed to let them build - they built there, and then the owner came back and destroyed their stuff. Yes, not everyone is such a stupid kiddo, but people who love the game should be safe from such behaviour. Maybe the problem is that some people in PVE get bored to soon and therefore started with such shenanigans. But this whole conversations shows in my opinion only one thing: we need different rule sets for PVP and PVE.

Sweet baby jesus ... you sail around and ask "hey, is build on island YXZ save?" and then you get your answers. Building somewhere without speaking to the owner seemes a bit stupid at the moment. I only gave you an example with what you have to deal on PVE.

We stopped asking after a few times. Best experience so far was a guy on an completely unclaimed, big island - we built a trap to tame a bear. He came and yelled something we couldn't understand, rushed over to our desired bear, killed it and told us that this is his island and we kindly have to ask him if we want to do stuff here. Big drama. And - because I don't want to loose the progress of weeks, I don't play PVP. That's it.

As I said - since the announcement many people left because they disagree and felt that their feedback was ignored. No, it was indeed ignored. Surely some of them never tried the new system, some of them may tried, but as we learned in the past, accepting players' feedback isn't Grapeshot's thing, so why should they take the trouble to write their complaints here after being ignored for three times? They left and this is it. What me personally bothers is the following: Pre-patch, we shared an island with 4 other companies. With one of them we had no contact, one company trolled us, and the other two were just nice neighbors. We get over the trouble with the one company and lived happily together - we owned with 5-7 active players 7 claim flags, and 6 of them were set to allow building for everyone with 15% taxes. The other companies on our island did the same thing. And guess what? Nobody built there, but all over the forum, players cried about not having space to build, what was clearly not the case (as you search the forum, you may even find threads where people invited others to their island). And now? After the patch, people still complaining about not having space to build - or, even worse, they think they can build and then their base is destroyed. My mate and me (the others of our company left the game because of the outrageous behaviour of the devs) started to play again right after the patch was released and didn't manage to get an island, because the devs didn't think about one simple thing: showing players that an island is currently in a claiming phase, but not yet claimed. So we sailed 9 hours from small island to island to finally notice, that a) the island is almost claimed, and b) that big companies claimed small island because they can't afford the big ones. In sum, I'm complaining now about the same problems others complained about pre-patch: I don't have an island and can't build, at least if I care about my stuff. I don't care about getting taxes or something, I want my own land where my stuff, my ships and my tames are save from others' stupid behaviour. The new system can't give me that.

I'm sorry, but in my opinion, it's not that easy. I joined the forum on day 1 and since then, people were complaining about the old system and wanted the flags to be limitated. That was clearly the dominant opinion here. And then, there was the Captain's log where they announced the wipe and that there will be NO claiming at all in PVE. People - inlcuding me - were feared about the pillarmaggedon that unavoidable would happen, and again, it was clearly said by the players that they only wanted the limitation. And then they announced a completely new system nobody ever had asked for (for me, it had sounded way better than no claiming system at all, although after trying it out now, I would be way more happy with a flag limitation). But so many people already stopped playing after the announcement of the no claiming system and before the wipe. You can cleary see how few gave a feedback on the last Captain's log, especially if you compare it to older ones. Some were gone forever, some came maybe back to try it out, get enraged and left too - after so many failures Grapeshot had made in the past, the players surely don't take the trouble to write their feedback here before they leave. So, in the end, when you talk about the "whole playerbase", you should include the ones who already gave their feedback (as the first change on the claiming system was announced), but lost their trust in Grapeshot and left the game already before the wipe. By the way, if you search the whole forums at this point, again the dominant opinion here is to implement the old claiming system with a flag limitation. But as I said, there were not many people left who gave feedback at all, compared to pre-patch days.

    Choice of Gates, Please...!

... and they also added a suitable, stupid behemoth wall. That thing is a monster. You know - it's not the size that counts (that's what she said ). +1 for a 3x6 gate for elephants, rhinos and giraffes!
