  2. Thumbs up! I think that ships should be something special - something, what you have to really search for, what gives you good loot when killing it and what you can avoid, if you don't want to dealing with them. Less SoD-ships, only at night and then more powerful.

  4. The decay timer of our shipyard only runs out if there isn't a framework (is that the right word?) in it. But someone could destroy our neighbours shipyard - there was a framework in it, but he didn't build on it for at least two days (the shipyard was already there as we found that island, so I assume the yard had the "normal" decay timer of 4 days).) So maybe the decay time starts running without framework, respectively with a framework but only when the owner hasn't built for a while?
  5. That happened to us yesterday too with a sloop. The schooner we had built before could get out without problems, but the sloop has sunk instantly. There was a little sandbank on the coast-side of the yard, so the schooner (which is placed further forward in the shiphard) only hit it with the butt after releasing and could get out. The sloop was too small and couldn't Thankfully it was "only" the sloop... We didn't even know that that is possible, we assumed that if we can build a shipyard there, it would also be possible to get our ships out. A little warning would have been nice.
  6. Can confirm, on my screen the skin starts even to flicker - but I was able to get the skin out by opening and closing the lid in the barrel's inventory several times.
  7. Yeah, and: even if a single green one chases you, you are f*cked ... We couldn't outrun an aggroed green ghostship with our sloop with 2 speedsails, and the ghostship had spawned directly after lagging into another server. The color really doesn't matter at this point
  8. Thank you for your tutorial! If anyone wants to know with image-format to choose: it works perfect with a JPEG, a transparent PNG gives a very strange result, but you see that already in the preview of the converter how it will look like.

  10. Yeah, that's true. We manage to claim a really nice peace of land, but two persons are not able to defend it because of these ridiculous (alpha) animal spawns. But you don't miss anything - sail to a Lawless Region and build a sloop or a shooner there, where you can build your smithy and things on it. Way less frustrating!
  11. The ghostships are ridiculous ... For god's sake this was not our ship, but I feel very sorry for the guys.
  12. Now the server runs for about 30 minutes before disconnect, after relogging some ressources and the whole progress were gone and we are stuck in foundations ...
  13. EU-PVE on I8 runs for about 5 minutes, then you get a timeout and are resettet back again and again...
  14. Just for understanding for myself: Why are all of you so mad about that "It's an ARK RESKIN"-thing? Yeah, I love ARK and have over 1900 hours playtime. I bought ARK in the very early days with a discount. In my memory it was way more buggy and unstable than ATLAS now is (of course, besides the server connection issues). But with this playtime, ARK has really paid off for me. So I personally don't mind taking them assets and stuff from a really good and working game to built on, especially when they say that some things are only placeholders for now and will be replaced in the future. So, if Wildcard thinks there's more to the game than just for a DLC, then why complaining about it? The price of ATLAS is normal for a DLC (about 30 euros), a "normal" game costs around 60 euros ...
  15. I find it somehow funny that in a pirate game it is safer on the ocean on a tiny raft than on the land
  16. I have already seen these suggestions, but I hope that opening another suggestion shows you the urgency of fixing this, because it truely takes out all the fun out of the game. 1. Land claiming At this point, it seems impossible to claim land. We've sailed from the starter island in the east to almost the middle of the map, and there was literally barely space left to claim - and in about 75% of the cases, there were even no buildings, only the flags. -> Please add a limitation for the claiming flags per company! I'm pretty sure this problem popped up because you can also claim ships with this same flag - maybe simply adding a "ship-overtake-flag" in addition to the "land-claiming-flag" with limitations per tribemember is a solution. However, we managed to get a nice piece of land in an absolutely "deathzone" of an island, what brings my suggestion to Point 2: 2. Hostile animal spawning Sorry, but this is absolutely insane! We manage to build one single thatch foundation in about 2 hours whilst defending against an alpha snake, an alpha wolf, a horde of crocodiles and wolves, some rattle snakes and about 5 vultures. We didn't even had the time to craft arrows to defend. I don't have any problems with a horde of wolves strolling around the island (ok, maybe not on a carribbean island...) and some crocos lying at the beach, but with two alphas and a mixed horde of hostile animals attacking all at the same time, it is impossible to even build a small house, not to mention a big shipyard... So, we let the land claimed and continue to sail to other islands - and so the next piece of land is claimed and blocked and literally no one has something out of it - what takes us again to point 1) of my suggestion. -> Reduce significantly the spawn of alphas (maybe one per island or limitated to the islands with caves) and hostile animals and reduce their aggro radius. At this point, our gaming sessions in ATLAS looks like: 1. spawn on bed on the raft 2. sail to an island 3. seeing that all land is claimed 4. continue to sail where the wind takes us 5. dying because of vitamin deficient 6. go to point 1 That is truely no fun anymore and needs to be fixed ASAP - you can see in the steam forums that we are by far not the only ones complaining about these mechanics.
