  1. Sorry, I wasn't clear - i mean a 9x9 grid server. Yeah, you may have to expect wipes, but in this case only because of some devs who want to have feedback, ignore it and geting things in a complete mess after so much time. They had more than enough time to change the game in the way the players want it to play. There are enough feedback threads in this forum. Now dropping a nuclear bomb is simply not right and not necessary, especially if so many players - who obviously playing the game more than the devs do - disagree with those changes.
  2. You know a private server with more than 9 grids? If yes, tell me more please
  3. That may be your opinion, but please see also the other side: There are so many people like me, my company and our neighbors, who going through all those questionable decisions made by the devs, and finally, the game is playable without permanently enraging because of griefers. And in the past it was so annoying to defend our land, but we managed that and could build the base of our dreams (as a small company, in PVE there's not much left than building, exploring and taming, and there are people who enjoying this a lot, so please accept their playstyle). And then some new players come and cry "Buhuhu, there is no land left to build" - although there is plenty of space left - and then the people who went through thick and thin with this game will be punished with loosing everything. And get a hat in exchange. A hat for 500 hours playtime, and around a half of it wasn't fun at all. New Players don't want to pay taxes? That's okay, then please live on a Lawless Island, that's why they are there. First come, first serve (but remember, not everyone set his taxes to 30%). I personally don't even notice taxes while farming, and with the 2x to 6x rates - come on, that shouldn't be a problem for anyone. I can say anything to the PVP-changes, but for PVE my solution would look like: #1: Active ingame admins with fast support (like all MMOs have it) to discourage griefers #2: Implement a limitation for claim flags (maybe one flag per 5 members) and, of course, limit company size #3: Give the players time to declaim their land. #4: New islands will be implemented - together with the fresh declaimed land, there is now plenty of free space #5: BUGFIXING, balancing, removing behemoth gates *cough* #6: Implementing new content and instancing (is that the right word in english?) dungeons for caves and bosses, so everyone can experience everything in this game. I simply can't see why a wipe should solve anything of the problems that ATLAS have, especially in PVE you don't have any advantage with a base or ships over a new player. The only thing they will get with a wipe on PVE is Sodom & Gomorrah, because everyone will build on the most beautiful places with fresh water, much ressources - and if they don't get what they want, they will find a way without the claiming flags, be sure about that.
  4. I instantly stopped playing as I read this. We are playing on PVE since Day 1, and it was such a hard way - the huge lag festival, lost claimed land, managed to find another island, the week-long twist with a gate-spamming guy in the neighborhood, lost ships to SotD with rapid fire, lost tames which were falling through the floor, the FoY-thingy ... And finally, everything was "good" (well, except of the animal-thing, but that's another story). We accepted the annoying marathon to the FoY, we arranged with our neighbors, help each other, our claim flags are all set to allow building for all, and at this time, we all really wanted that other people come to our little island and live with us in peace here. For this to be happen, we even moved our base so that more space is available for others, and I was happily building as I read those news. All we needed was a limitation to the numbers of claiming flags. And at this moment, where player numbers already sunk, there is so much space to build on normal islands, and it is not even difficult to find those spots. But what you give us here is so f*cking stupid and such a big invitation for all those foundation- and pillar-spammers! I already can see some guys coming as we build our base, then they say "Hey, you frown at me? Take this foundation in your face" - and you can't finish your house. Awesome. Let me say you something: You want ATLAS to be a "real" MMO? Then first start active ingame admin support, and if someone is reported several times for griefing, kick him out. You would be surprised how fast those toxic players are away and that everyone can build - of course, including the claim flag limitation - on a non lawless island. Limit the flags and give us time to demolish flags if we have too much, there is absolutely no need for a wipe on PVE because there is simply no advantage if you already have a base or some ships (I can't speak for PVP). Those patch notes are a big kick in the butt of your loyal and long-term players, and you will give us a hat in return - well, keep it and stick it wherever you want. At this point, I have about 500 hours in ATLAS and I'm not quite sure if I feel like completely starting over again and to keep struggling around with some foundation-spammers. Not for a hat.
  5. Agree - and while changing this, please fix the ladders not working correct in tundra and polar regions (you climb diagonal forward, bug into your ship and finally find yourself again in the water).
  6. Thank god I only discovered this issue with wild animals blinking around - in most cases they stand 10 meters above the ground and blinking so fast that they are almost invisible.
  7. Lost today two bears, a horse and our super sheep Lord Horn to an Alpha Cobra because they glitched through the floor. Another horse is still missing - I think it even fell through the map. Thank God taming horses is not annoying or something ... /ironic off
  8. It would also help if those stupid alpha snakes couldn't spawn in houses or bug themselves through walls anymore. But I have to state that the spawn areas of alphas seem to be very different. We made a journey yesterday and this morning and we discovered on 18 islands only some alpha cows, chickens and monkeys. In total, all of those islands had been much saver than our little one in I7. So I think there may be a fixed number for hostile and alpha spawns per isle, and if you live on a smaller island, you just have do deal with it. Imho the devs have to check every single island and had to adjust the spawns for them separately if they are really interested in balancing the game. Let's be honest there, that won't happen.
  9. Yesterday, we found a spot in the north - owner was away and had no upkeep left, but we couldn't claim because his sleeping neighbour of another company contested the claim. Claiming system straight out of hell
  10. I'm pretty sure you're also getting older while being offline.
  11. That looks really cool! I'll keep that in mind. Yesterday, we took a trip to the north: Henrietta, the evil chicken of doom, kept an eye on us ... ... and we found some strange behaviours - well, other countries, other manners ... I guess
  12. Can confirm G3. Cave entrance is at -12,77 66,94 (Eastside): Now I'm young, pretty and strong enough again to kick the guy who invented this bullshit in his ass.
  13. Hey there, I'm so pissed at this point - some idiot crashes his sloop into our schooner, so I bugged through the schooners wall into his boat. With the fix that only allied companies or company member could get on ships, I was only gliding around on his deck with no chance of getting off - until I fell under the deck because that guy had no ceilings. Now I'mn gliding around here since 15 minutes, can't poop and in maybe another 15 minutes I will loose all my stuff with no chance of getting it back. Only because of some stupid kiddies. Please make at least an Unstuck-Option for those cases, maybe with 10 minutes cooldown to prevent overuse. And fix the gliding, so that you will glide through the railings of foreign ships.
  14. Here are some of my favorites: One of our brigs in the moonshine ... Our third Brig "Turquoise" on her maiden voyage: Aaaand.... yeah. Nothing left to say - that had to happen!
  15. Hey there - found a converter with the new dyes https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=518906272 Many thanks to 8bitpineapple, it works like a charme. Edit: Here's one of our Brig's, the "Turquoise" painted with Orient Blue:
  16. Hey there! I don't have a color palet for you, but it has worked for me using a approximately similiar color in Photoshop and then converting the picture via the Atlas-PNT-Editor from 8bitpineapple found here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=518906272 If you really need the exact colors in your palet, it may work for you to open the PNT-Editor, screenshot the available color palet from there, import the picture into your graphic programm and use the colors via the pipette tool (sorry, don't know if that is the right word for that tool, in german it's only the "Pipette"). Hope this will help you out!
  17. Agree, Alphas are a real pain ... For me, it would be okay to have one or two alphas on an island, maybe in little caves and not strolling around and just wrecking everything.
  18. Yeah... unfotunately, those who had not built near resource areas are the one who are affected the most -.- On EU PVE on our Lawless Island suddenly hundreds of foundations with a bed and a storage box were built directly on or next to the metal nodes - it is not possible to get metal now because of those stupid kiddos. Can confirm. Everything was fine. First, we thought it was because of someone had built a buoy and that this bug isn't fixed, but demolishing it hadn't trigger the respawn.
  19. /push Are you fucking serious ...? We live on I7 and it's a nightmare - (Alpha) hostile animals still EVERYWHERE! When we log in (and in the case we survived the night in our bunker with 2 foundations space to the walls), we immediately aggro crocodiles and snakes which also bites us through the walls ... Today, we made some treasure hunting and are now on Berestos Enclave in I8, and there is nothing hostile except a lion and two crocodiles on the whole island? Are you kidding me? Please fix that finally!
  20. In my opinion, the length of the anchor chain is way too short. We try to build some nice little landing stage, but it seems nearly impossible to anchor the ships nearby because the anchor chain is so short on sloops and schooners ... (Screenshot: Here it was not possible anchoring the sloop - that's really not deep at all, you can almost walk there and the sloop will stuck if you drive closer to the shore)
  21. Wtf Thanks for letting us know. Thumbs up for the idea that animals should be counted as livestock.
  22. I feel sorry for you loosing your ship... but I have to laugh so hard on the first video This never happen to us before, so thanks for letting us know. We already experienced the rocket jump-thingy by ourselves, but not with that height.
