If you take the advanced breath, swim speed, and water temperature talents, and then go swimming, the buffs are functional. If you die, and then try to go swim again, the buffs don't work.

For reference, I just tried using my laptop to join the game, and it logged me in just fine, I was able to spawn at my company's bed no problem. So bizarre. So I guess the solution is just to have 2 computers that can run the game...

Any time I die after having been logged off for more than a few hours, I'm forced to the new character creation screen. My old character still exists in game world, as my crew mates still see me in the list, and I can still see the popups on the top of the screen "crewmate was killed by tiger" and such. There seems to be no reason why this happens, and alt+f4 and relogging does nothing to resolve this issue.
