  1. I am excited for this update, but I just wanna know when we will have some type of news on that flying ship that is in the main picture of this forum???
  2. I joined a company that hit me with a claim while I was not in the zone (I'm a solo player, so I wasn't really anything) and the moment their claim finished all of my doors were unlocked and my boxes were unlocked with the pin codes removed. I wasn't mad at them by any means it's a pvp game, so we just sat and talked about it learning about the game. And we hit another base with a claim, and same thing. The moment the claim finished, all of their property had the pin codes removed and we had full access to everything. So it may be meant that it does not unlock the doors etc but there are times that it does.
  3. No one needs to offline raid at all, they can just claim your base while you are offline and then they own everything.
  4. Yes, but the doors are not magically pin-code removed and unlocked in reality so that part of it does not make sense, even if they were to claim the land. If the doors of buildings and boxes didn't automatically lose their pin-codes or locks, then I would not have a problem with the system. If they want it that way though, they need to make it notify you that your land is being contested EVEN when you are in a different part of the grid. Otherwise, what is the point of ever leaving and pirating? Because currently, if you aren't in the zone of your claimed land, you get no notification of anything. So they could use the current system and just alter a few things and it would be fine also. If they take it over they shouldn't magically bypass locks, because that doesn't make sense at all, and you should be notified no matter where you are. Just like the "Leave a message for X company" should message them wherever they are in the game.
  5. If someone claims an area, they should then have to claim the structures in the area as well afterwards. Heading to another zone and being against the wind and then having someone claim your spot with no notification and upon coming back all of the things that you built automatically belong to them as well is not okay. Essentially the moment that you log off, someone can own all of the stuff that you built and have access to all of your stuff by the time you come back online, including your shipyards and houses, meaning if you go to sleep you will wake up while everything is still their but it belongs to them now.
  6. Since the raft is mostly used by new players, and most of them don't even know to put a bed on the raft before they venture out, the raft might as well be a built in spawn point so that people can actually begin their adventures into the game... The game doesn't need to be as hardcore as it is, since it's supposed to be about exploration, pirating, and having fun.
  7. The system just does not work for the game. No one wants to manage 4 different food types and it's easier just to put stuff in a box or have a bed and just die and respawn ignoring the vitamin system altogether.
  8. Most of these issues would go away if they increased the gathering rates of everything by a little, because you wouldnt have to do nearly as much grinding. People get tired of grinding and kill each other for what little resources they have, something that was rampant in ARK and while it was eventually accepted as part of ARK, it was one of the worst parts of the game. It doesn't fit at all in a game about exploration and pirating. The grind alone before you can even get off the first island is enough to turn a lot of people away. In ARK you could take pets that could grind much better than you could and it cut down the grind by a lot... But that's not in ATLAS so the grind needs to have a serious rework.
  9. I don't know if this will be an unpopular opinion or not, but I loved ARK and in that game the gathering rates made sense there. The server issues will get fixed, and everything will get better, but I would like to see the gathering rates increased because in it's current state, it doesn't make sense to have to grind for hours just to build the basic raft, because you are turning the focus of the game from being a pirate, to playing exactly like ARK except without tames to make the grind faster. (I don't know if tames on ATLAS can gather, but that is not the focus of the game) The focus of the game is to be a pirate and explore, and it does not feel like the game wants you to even get that far, because in reality 90% of your time is spent hitting trees... not being a pirate. The rate does not need to be increased by a lot, even 2-3 more per hit would significantly drop the grind time down so that people can get to the actual gameplay and have fun. Sorry if no one agrees with me, that's just my opinion.
