  1. So, we tried several times to establish Company Ranks (Groups), but they disappear after a few minutes and everyone loses their rank. Not sure what could be causing this, but its a bug, and I am reporting it.
  2. So I tried to take a screenshot using f12 (standard steam screenshot key) and it doesn't work. I don't know what's up with that, or if that is connected to the entire issue. I also cannot uncheck two graphics options that I think might be causing me to have terrible frame rates: High Quality Materials and Subsurface Scattering. Both say they require restart, but no matter how many times I uncheck>apply>save>restart they are always checked after restart.
  3. Update: Random Crashes have stopped completely. 8GB mode seems to have helped a lot. Still can't play on higher than low settings though. The Water STILL does not display. There's no water showing up on my game at all. No ocean water. Its still like looking out over the Grand Canyon. Does anyone else have this issue? Does anyone know what could cause this issue or how to fix it? Later I will post a picture as proof.
  4. Not only are Alpha Spawns way to much *everywhere* the normal animals are so numerous that if you don't have the means to defend yourself, you'll be mobbed by so many. We have a small base and there's Alpha Vultures and regular wolves constantly mobbing our door. We can't even farm to get mats because the wolves, lions, and snakes are to numerous.
  5. Happened to my crew too. We lost our Sloop over night to random sinking. No log entries of it being attacked, sunk, or claimed. Logged in and it was at the bottom of the bay where our base is.
  6. I have this issue too! Its really annoying for immersion purposes, but it doesn't affect my gameplay that much. Basically, it looks like I am flying over the ocean's floor. Over a giant canyon. I can see resource nodes (useful), and animals, but I can't see shorelines (Not useful!). I'm playing on LOW DETAIL mode atm (Since I just crash on high detail). Currently praying the 8GB Support option they plan to release will fix this! Current Rig: AMD m290x GFX Card with 4GB RAM 8GB System RAM 225GB SSD + 1TB HDD (Atlas is on SSD) Intel i7 Quad Core 2.5GHz Processor Win 10, 64 bit OS
  7. Update: I switched my Home Server to a Freeport, and selected LOW settings for EVERYTHING, and I was able to play for a few hours this morning. Not sure if the crash was due to spawning in a Lawless Map or the settings (I had tried to manually set everything to low before, but this time after the fresh reinstall, I selected LOW as the main option). I was still getting low FPS, but it was manageable, and I was able to at least get a raft going. I still cannot see ANY ocean water. I can see the lakes on the starting island I am on, just not any kind of ocean water.
  8. Having a similar issue. Game just kicks me back to Desktop and closes down after about 4-5 minutes of gameplay on all settings.
  9. I'm trying a fresh reinstall now to see if that helps.
  10. Ahoy mates, I've downloaded Atlas and can boot her up just fine. I get into the game, and the FPS is around 30-60 which is okay in the Freeports I suppose. Anyway, I'm loaded into a Lawless area around L4, and I start swimming to shore. I can get to shore and start picking up rocks and stuff, but 4 or 5 minutes in, I am kicked out, booted back to Desktop with no messages at all, and the game closes. I don't get any crash reports, no error messages. Nothing. Just game closes as if I alt tabbed and hit the x. Really frustrating. Sometimes it freezes a little before the crash. I tried playing on different settings, higher, medium, low. Its the same thing. Game runs choppy and then crashes whenever I get to land. The other kicker is, I can't see ANY water at all. There's literally nothing to indicate where there's water other than sea creatures flying around. I see no blue, no gray. No waves, nothing. Its absolutely irritating. I'm not sure if the two issues are connected, but its getting really difficult to be patient with this game when so many of my crew mates are in and organizing. I never expected the claims of "Atlas will run better than ARK does now" to be true, but this is just ridiculous. I've tried validating the steam files, and several times 1 file failed to validate, but Steam never Downloaded anything. I'm currently reinstalling to see if that will work. If anyone else is having similar issues to mine, please let me know. If you guys found fixes, please share them! My Rig: I'm fairly certain I'm over the min required specs for Atlas, and considering its built on ARK and DnL code, it should run similar to both of those games (Which both run great on my set up). AMD m290x gfx card with 4 GB RAM intel i7 4710MQ 2.5GHz processor 8GB System RAM 225GB SSD and 1TB HDD (Atlas is on the SSD). Win 10 64 bit OS.
  11. I too have this issue. I also cannot see water in-game. I don't know if the two are connected. Basically, I can run ARK at decent settings with good FPS, but Atlas just crashes on low end settings. I load up no problem, as soon as I am in game though, I start doing anything, game boots me to desktop and closes down. No crash log or nothing. Only started happening after one of the newer server patches too. I was able to play for a solid 20 minutes before that. Anyway, I'm looking for answers on how to fix the "can't see any water" issue, as well as the crash I'm running an AMD m290x gfx card with 4GB RAM, and my CPU is an i7 quad core and my system has 8GB RAM. I'm fairly certain I'm above the min specs, so I don't think its an issue on my end.
