  1. I figured out what I wanted to do to add Unlimited Respecs. For anyone that's interested: /ShooterGame/Saved/server(mine changed to my secret key with the grid at the end on Nitrado)/Config/WindowsServer/Game.ini Under [/Script/ShooterGame.ShooterGameMode] put: bAllowUnlimitedRespecs=True You have to do that for the game.ini for each server in the cluster. (In my case, it was 3 total. 1 Main, 2 Expansions.) Bizniatch up above missed the "s" at the end of Respecs and it definitely doesn't work that way. As for the OP's question, I couldn't say. If I had to hazard a guess, "bAllowRespecs=False" might be the ticket. The easy test would be to throw that into the game.ini files and fire the server up. If it works, it might let you respec once more but not again after a level. I'm spit-balling here so I have ZERO idea if that would even work or if it's the correct bit to put in. Can't see how it would hurt to give it a try though, but don't blame me if it breaks your server.
  2. Yeah it's the same concept. Except for Mindwipe potions, it's a GUI icon. It defaults to "false" because there isn't an entry in any of the server ini files for it. Personally, I'm trying to figure out what ini file it goes into so you can do it anytime you want rather than once per level. It seems that the OP wants to get rid of the respec option entirely.
  3. I'm looking at adding it to my private server. What server ini file do you add it to? I added it to the server's game.ini and it didn't seem to work. To make sure, I leveled again to clear the previous respec flag.
  4. Wheatgrass Doesn't appear to actually count as "Wheat" for cooking recipes. It does give "Wheat Seeds" when harvested, but the wheatgrass doesn't work for making Hardtack. Might be wrong. Need to check something. Edit: Wheatgrass definitely doesn't count as "Wheat or Maize" for Hardtack.
  5. I encountered an issue on my server that if I moved any of the freeport islands from their original position on my Home server, there were a lot of issues with it. Mainly, I couldn't harvest ANYTHING on the one freeport island I moved. I ended up having to scrap that map build and start over. I made sure to not touch the freeport island at all.
  6. Yes, the hammer is definitely an option. I'm playing on a private 3-grid server that I rented... Me and a buddy.. just the two of us... and usually, just me during the week. I can't effectively deal with the alphas without either cheesing or God Mode. Neither option I like but I want to play. I just want to disable ALL alpha spawns on my server and be done with it, but nobody seems to have a working solution for that. It would be really nice if it was a checkbox or Yes / No radio buttons labeled "Alpha Spawns?" on Nitrado's settings page.
  7. If you haven't figured it out already... Upload the ServerGrid.json to your Main (Home) server. Also upload the 5 .jpg map files (1 for each grid square, and a composite map of all 4 combined). I'm not sure how Survival Servers has it set up, but Nitrado has an upload button for the json and one for the jpegs that put the files in the correct spots. Might check Survival Server's FAQ or contact their support. I've used them for other games and they're not a bad host 99% of the time. Nitrado got my business this time because they were ready to rock on launch day. EDIT: Also, make sure you share your main server's secret key with the 3 expansion servers. Nitrado has a spot for it on each expansion server. Assuming Survival Servers has the same.
  8. There are a significant number of stone nodes on this island that the game doesn't register as harvestable stone. Some work, many don't, and you just get the "Swing and a miss" animation when you try to harvest them. The stone node models themselves exist in the game and your character doesn't clip through them, but you can't harvest anything from them. I have noticed the same issue on the same island type on NA PVE Official as well as my own private server. Image for island reference.
  9. There was some stuff you could put in one of the server .ini files in Ark (Game.ini maybe?) that would adjust the spawn rate of a mob, however, you had to know each mob's Class ID (I think) and do it for each. I'd be more than happy to do that for each Alpha mob in the game. Would just like some direction from the Devs on how to go about doing it and a list of the "Alpha" type mobs to go off of. I'd also like to get rid of Alpha Monkeys, Cows, etc entirely because... an Alpha Monkey or Cow is kind of dumb. As it stands, there are WAY too many that spawn WAY too often, especially for a private server with like 2 people at any given point playing.
  10. That's what I did. I downloaded the starter 2x2 that Nitrado installs and went from there. Deleted all but one Freeport island for the Home server including the 3 other spawn locations, changed that grid's climate to Temperate, then deleted all of the other generic islands from the other 3 grids. Once I did that, I changed the climate in the other 3 grids to different ones, then I added islands of my choosing to all 4 grids. I added discovery zones for every island I placed (17 total for now) and all was well. Just make sure you don't move the one starter island you keep in the home grid. There may be a way to fix it, but when I tried to make a custom map where I relocated the starter island I kept, none of the nodes were harvestable. It's a bit hard to get started when you can't harvest fiber, stone, etc. When you go to export the map's JSON and jpeg files, make sure you uncheck "Show Discovery" and "Show Island Name" or those will show up on the in-game map. Once you actually make the discovery, that will properly show up on the in-game map. That's basically how I "named" my islands.
  11. Update: It appears that what broke the resource nodes was the fact that I moved the starter island and rotated it. When I rebuilt the map and left that one island I intended to keep alone, harvesting worked properly again.
  12. So I reinstalled my private server today to wipe it clean, then I made a custom map with the server grid editor. In my Home grid, I removed 3 of the 4 freeport islands and deleted the extra spawn points. All of that worked fine and we were able to log in. However, we aren't able to harvest ANY nodes. We can't pick up plants, beat trees, or pick up rocks to even make basic tools. The only thing we can actually harvest is animal parts if we manage to punch something to death. Any ideas?
