  1. The upcoming patch is capping tribes at 500. This is a move in the right direction albeit one that is still not enough. Hopefully the devs keep their eyes glued to balance issues as the game further develops.
  2. ARK had the same problems with mega tribes. Its just plain bad for competition in PVP to have these very large untouchable tribes that most of the time do not even fight one another since there is little to gain from it. If the devs wanted this setup I am sure they would have added proper factions which you would choose from when you create your character.
  3. The game needs another cluster of servers that have a limit on the number of players that can join one company. I think 20-30 players max is a fair amount and no alliances to stop people trying to go around it. This would allow for more competitive PVP rather then just a few big tribes.
  4. I agree in principal although your stats probably need to be toned down a bit. Anything that discourages a meta from forming is good in my books.

There are Chinese tribes with more then a mere 700 in any case as ARK proved the majority of folks do not want to play in servers in which they are forced to join very large groups in order to survive. If given the opportunity to choose the current setup or a small company server, most people will pick small company servers.
  6. If you get offended over such minor things then you probably shouldn't be playing multiplayer video games especially in a PVP environment. You play a game where you get to shoot people dead and hack off their limbs, does it really matter if someone swears at you ingame.
  7. As it stands currently if you are not in one of those 1000 member tribes you don't stand a chance when it comes to PVP in Atlas. This isn't healthy in the long term for the game and no doubt it will put a lot of players off from playing it. Each map square currently can only holds a max of 150 players and yet there are tribes out there with thousands of members. What is happening is these very large tribes are flooding individual areas maxing them out to 150 so that even those that have their main base there cannot log in to defend their base. All of these issues could be solved if the developers took the same approach that ARK finally did by offering players another separate server cluster with restrictions on tribe size. Small Tribe Servers in ARK proved to be an instant hit with continuous maxed out servers. Today it is currently its most popular mode in that game. I would like to see a second map cluster for Atlas that limits company player size to say 20-30 max and no alliances. This would still allow enough people to be online at any one time to defend their base, while not allowing said company to be able to completely dominate any one server/map area. Now obviously there is nothing to stop companies making informal alliances between themselves but at least without a formal alliance things get a lot more complicated - allied name tags show as enemy, there is no alliance chat and claim flags become a mess. This is not a perfect solution and I don't believe there ever will be a perfect solution to this king of thing in games of this genre but it is far better then standing by and doing nothing.
  8. It's not good for competition to have these giant tribes in PVP. ARK had this issue for years until they finally released small tribes servers which instantly became so popular that every server has been nearly always maxed out ever since.
  9. After the last patch I rejoined the server and I am now in the negative for skill points and everything is locked. Some quality testing right there...
  10. I reported this a few days ago in the Bug Reports forum. Never heard back from the devs. Great dev team..... It seems the devs have learned sfa from their ARK development. Same issues, same exploits, same problems. This whole duping issue wouldn't exist if they had global ID's for items especially powerful and expensive items like Galleons and cannons.

  12. I know of a game breaking bug to do with ships that is very much an exploit. I don't want to post the details here, can a dev get in touch.

    I am seeing reports of people duping Galleons atm. What's that 2 days and already a duping problem. Good old ARK Devs, even with a name change they still code the same Anyways a wipe is going to have happen at some point...
  14. Since there is no forum for PVP suggestions yet here is a thread. Reduce the distance in which you can see players attacking stuff ie the damage numbers showing. Remove that silly aimbot autoaim thing. Instead of a health bar for creatures maybe show blood instead like in ARK.
  15. They have Level 1 in communication skills. No updates on the steam forums, just complete silence from the devs. As that articles on Forbes said this has been one of the worst game releases in recent video game history. They had the same communication problems in ARK, wouldn't say a word for weeks then suddenly they would post something. Quite strange.
  16. An Oceania server needs to happen otherwise the game is unplayable for us. Australia always seems to get shafted by these game companies.
  17. I'll be honest those reviews are well deserved. You can't release garbage and expect your customers to not be annoyed. People sticking up for this kind of behavior is why the gaming industry is in such a state as it is atm. The developers need to held accountable for their sloppy work.
  18. There needs to be at least an Asian region server based in Singapore if not an Oceanic one.
  19. I have noticed in the more recent trailers rideable flyers are back in the game. This in my opinion is a bad idea as they will quickly come to dominant all aspects of the game as they did in ARK. Its fairly obvious that flyers will be the go to mechanism for recon, scouting, exploring and possibly even combat itself. I am hoping that they are made either extremely weak unlike the silly flying tanks in ARK or are made NPC only.
