Well for comparison the Pirates of Caribbean movies got worse the more that came out, so really that point is invalid. You either like a game or you dont based on what you personally are looking for in a game. clearly people like the game now and probably look forward to future changes, and you dont.. and that's fine. If your only argument as to why you think this game sucks is because they cant beat the ARK numbers then maybe you shouldn't be playing this game at all in its current state. As the famous saying goes, Rome wasn't built in a day, and this game needs time to flourish, dont judge it after a few weeks of release.

Im not sure if it really matters at this point how big the difference is between ARK and Atlas, for one ATLAS had a horrible launch and so naturally people are not going to buy it. Im sure over time there will be people who want to buy the game. As for the topic of the thread, think of it this way, thousands of players...wiped to restart.. 150 players per server and limited freeports and lawless to spawn at. It is just going to be the same travesty that we went through on launch. A wipe is not going to fix land grab issues imo, youre going to be stuck in the freeport again while all the bigger companies who have more players connect and rush out to where they were before.

Not being funny but the game was sold on a theme of pirates, if "safety" on a raft is what you want go to a PVE server or simply wait to get a bigger ship and sail with that instead. If the tides were turned and you were on the bigger boat and see a small raft, what would your first thoughts be? I have been on that raft, ferrying wheat across 7 servers against wind and being chased plenty of times and trust me I've been caught twice doing it. They saw the opportunity and took it, simple as that. IMO either don't sail a raft with the hopes of keeping everything or sail a bigger boat with some defenses. I dont want to sound rude but everyone gets frustrated, more so at this game, its unforgiving and is bound to kick you when youre down. Keep at it

You can use a sloped roof and press T (or what ever you rebound the default 'T' key too) to swap the sloped roof to stairs. You can do this with many other items such as walls to doors and windows etc. Ladders are a bit glitchy on boats if they are on the inside of the hull, i've fallen off my boat several times because of it. Hope it helps Another thing I have figured out is if you put an item such as a wall or ceiling in your 1-10 item slots, if you press SHIFT and the number it is on your hot bar it will show you the different things you can turn it into.

In the experience of me and my Company, most of the resource spawns might be bugged or otherwise broken in someway. We too have mined metal ore nodes several times just to suddenly have them never to spawn again. We recently moved to a new island and when we built up, we started to realize no trees, bushes or rocks were spawning back - some material were in and outside our claim flag area of influence. Most of the companies of the island we inhabit seem to be having similar issues. I hope this just a bug and will be fixed soon as the materials to craft some of the later game things is incredibly steep and would take a very long time to complete.
