You can walk in there but if you attack them will they attack back? If so maybe they are just on neutral which would be fine. if not then yeah I could see how completely passive WPE’s could be a problem

Yes there is a very big difference between all of those biomes. yes, there are some tames and also crops that can be grown in the tundra/polar regions. the reason people stay closer to the equator is because there are more possibilities when you are there or close to the equator. regardless of pve or pvp I would go to a lawless temperate region if I were you. You will be close enough to amount anything. if you are on pve, I would recommend k12. Plenty of room and I could very easily show you all of the resources on that island as well as the neighboring islands in the region. there are plenty of places to build. We are currently exploring and every damn island we go to one of the guys tries to build a base on it. Smh

Pvp will be going dead anyways. They made a bad decision but it is a permanent one. They won’t be making new servers because the ones they have right now aren’t that populated at all. the only time they added servers in ark was because the ones they had were completely full and over populated so they got more. This is not the case with atlas. pve is just fine

So would a master work speed sail only add acceleration and not more speed? hopefully it would add a lot more speed or blueprints wouldn’t be too useful for that

Not sure about battle metrics but if atlas player tracker is working correctly you see see what companies are on what islands and which players are on which islands as well as the number of players on that grid. i always did pvp on ark but I switched to pve for atlas. I would rather enjoy the game lol

I will definitely keep that in mind for later on. Especially once we get ready for the big fights. so far we have experimented with handling sails on the sloop and schooner and it didn’t help us at all. We have built a galleon but the guys that built it is taking his time on the design of it but I will let him know about the handling of a galleon. he seems new to the game and if he is I would still recommend that he doesn’t bother with ha doing sails in the early stages of the game. my captain dc’ed on the steering wheel when we were in the middle of a group of ship of the damned. I couldn’t steer so I had to use our large speed sail to force bump us as well as speed up and slow while maneuvering through them. Pretty scary but I got through it. Ran straight to land and right before we beached I threw the sail against the wind and anchored safely and the SoTD sailed off. if we get a good wind we can road runner through them. This is our exploring boat so we don’t want to be fighting on it. but yes I am sure they do have a very big impact on late to end game fights.

You can take atlas out of ark but you can’t take the ark out of atlas

I wouldn’t bother with handling sails. We can bust a U turn on a dime in the game. Speed sails all the way and if it’s not a fighting ship you can just level in weight

Island points are the cost of the island which depends on size and resources there. dollie just recently told me that 0/200 means you have used 0 of the 200 total points you have. So no matter what you have enough points for an island. the next step is make sure you have enough gold for the upkeep with you. one very important thing is to make sure you are not on lawless regions when trying to claim because you cannot claim a lawless island. once you are on an island you want to claim, hold down right bumper and press left on the dpad to bring up flag placement. you have 200 points to spend so if you were to get a 25 point island you will see 25/200 after you buy it. so just make sure you have the gold with you.

Ok so I got to finally do a few hours of exploring yesterday and so far yesterday was the best time I have had. Finally got them into discovery points and I have to admit, sailing is the best part of the game. to be honest I was start to think the game sucked but that was mainly because I didn’t have enough time to play and felt like I wasn’t getting anything done. i don’t see sailing being boring in the slightest. It only takes a few minutes to get to each island and then 20 max to get to the next grid. I get the whole blue shield thing, but I would like to suggest that the landfall discovery points stay blue but change the smaller discovery points to red shields or some other color. A lot of times I would think I would see a discovery point, just to find out is was the other island behind the one I was on. That would be a good QoL change.

Yeah we definitely need a motorized speed boat. Like a super fast one. He’ll make it steam powered if a gas motor is too advanced. Something a lot faster.

We may not always agree on things but I agree with this. When wildcard first started with ark and before the lawsuit(scorched earth happened) they were actually an indie company, but once they sold over 10 millions copies and got bought out by snail games they definitely cannot be co side red indie anymore. but yeah, even though they aren’t indie they are no where near comparable to the behemoth rockstar is. They poop gold regardless of what anyone says.

Well unfortunately since I can barely get on right now the adventure is pretty crappy. That was the reason for this post, not me complaining about the game. Really don’t know why everyone is talking EA right now lol literally nothing to do with it

Really not sure what you mean by this. I am not complaining about the game or mechanics of it. I was complaining because I don’t get laid off till December so I can only get on for 1 to 2 days a week as to where once I get laid off I will be able to be on 5 days a week. not sure what your EA comment has to do with that. I know exactly what EA is and you must not have understood the post. I wasn’t complaining about any aspect of the game. i was venting because right now I can only play a couple of days a week and if they would have waited a little longer I would have more days to play throughout the week. None of what I said has anything to do with it being early access

Yeah, I am a Christian and do not completely follow all of the rules to a T. There is no reason to because when it comes to faith you are either stupid or righteous. We won’t figure out what that truly is until it actually happens. nobody should say “all” these people do this. You will very quickly look just as bad even with saying that not all do this, because you are not part of that group. happens, but yeah be more careful next time.

Son of a . I am really disappointed in you for not having a December release. I really am. You took a lot of wind out of these sails. of course the guys are building on every damn island they come to but damn it, I am just not feeling the thrill anymore. a good change would be good. Doesn’t have to be drastic but I will hold some animosity towards you just because of the release date, regardless. definitely not happy about this whole thing. Just saying
