  1. I am 100% enjoying this change. My crew and I have found ourselves working together much more. Once we have a schooner or brig it’s going to be awesome to see what the next game plan is for progress
  2. J3 J4 and I5 as well. First time island owner And I can’t get home haha!
  3. It appears to be a lot of quadrants with this issue! Who else? I5 is awful.
  4. Can someone please clean the coffee off of the J3 server. 1 players connected (me) and 255 ping. Sailed out to get away from the lag and now it’s red walled
  5. I like the fog effects, it adds a short term of suspense. I too am on a Xbox one X and the region load times are pretty heinous. I think the big issue is hardware limitations with the xbox and that's why PC runs so much better. Being that this is a game preview and their dev team is relatively small, I give them a pass on bugs and optimization issues for now. A lot of people don't realize that they have pretty limited resources compared to a lot of other games companies such as EA. Plus this is a new game being made... with games such as CoD they can almost literally copy and paste the code and just add more detail to animations, a few maps/characters and switch gun stats and call it a new game... Patience are required to play a game preview, just think of it as you are a game tester.. but you paid to test the game. xD
  6. On top of that issue, SoTD are only occasionally dropping loot boxes, looking at the map will cause xbox players to lag if not crash and sometimes when you drop all in your inventory it disappears. OH and my friends ship constantly shoots fish. We put the cannons on ships only, told them to stand down while on and off the cannons and also whistled them all passive. Their hatred for fish still persists. RIP our 500 medium cannonballs.
  7. I can see the concern for a gold sink for sure. Adding cost to making ships is a good start, I think any way. My concern is PvE and yes that does need to happen. I just worry that one company will claim a bunch of the floating outposts or whatever they’re called and they will end up like islands. One company has multiple and then just goes inactive except once a week and renews the ownership. It’s not the end of the world but it’s of slight concern for the PvE crowd. That being said this will be good for PvP my issue there was very little sea battles. It was and still is mostly about wiping out fleets while they’re offline or (in my case) someone taking over your allies island and then just walking past your 200+ puckle guns and going through your front door. There is a lot of work to be done but it’s a step in the right direction. We just need to have multiple ways to make gold. If we centralize it around one or two aspects of the game.... well quiet frankly it’ll either get over crowded or boring as heck haha.
  8. I just wanted to voice a simple concern. If this trade system as noted in the patch notes is “the new way to make gold” I feel that it will alienate the community from each other. I know the dev primary focus is pvp but consider pve! If you kill off the pve community then half the games population will fall off. Please keep that in consideration before making that the end all for money making. Killing squids, for example, should still drop gold (even if it’s only 100) because it allows me to do a meat run for babies, have fun killing things and make a little cash!
