  1. Black wood map is not finished and not developed by the old Devs. They bought this map from some external map designer unfinished and did nothing to it since than.(2-3 years now lol) You may can play there but you have to expect bugs and crashes all over. You should have the admin commands ready to cheat.
  2. You can refund on steam in your first 2h you are in the game or main menu. I wanted to refund after 17h in the main menu not able to connect to any official server... but had played 1h in single player. No chance to get money back so. I ended up finding a work around to play it and so getting close to 3000h now. LOL. On Xbox you probably pay 2-3x the price of PC(20-25€) if not a big discount to 3€ that it was once. Don't know if there is any chance to refund there. But this game in the Xbox store is big money for Grape Shot. If the Xbox Playrs just looks the trailer and buys he is doomed... and badly betrayed. Big bugs, performance issue, crashes etc. But this is the price to play with console and hoping to play a PC title. You better buy a PC for 2k € instead xD.
  3. Well the single player tag on this game is quite a shame. You can discover the world in single players, yes. But it's completely bugged, you need admin commands to cheat if it gets bugged. You need to make daily safes to restore your game if it crashes. Well I guess this works only on PC and not on Xbox... Sorry to say. But this game right now is not working in single Player and you can expect a long time with no imrpovements about this issue.
  4. PC players had no issues the last week. But if Xbox couldn't play for 10 days your structures may auto decay unfortunately if you are solo. If you say wiped this is not correct because the servers did not get wiped. It's a shame they struggle with so many things, but Xbox is an issue because they need to programm different game versions or the different Xbox One/ Series S/X... I had big hopes for all Xbox Players with the new series X. But just to let you know... everybody i played with using Xbox from season 3(Xbox launch) smashed their Xbox against the wall and bought PC or simply left Atlas forever.
  5. This loading issues is new for me. Usually the loading stucks at Primal_Game_Data_BP... if you get past it to Ocean16 you are usually fine and getting into the game. Is this before you create your pathfinder? Or you have already a Pathfinder and it crashed in game? You may not use the "rejoin" function and go to manual server join. You can join any rookie cave server and it will redirect you to the server where you crashed. I had long time issues with maybe my internet provider, i was only able to log in on official servers if I used a VPN connection. After i changed my home and have now a different provider I don't need this trick anymore, some think it could also be an issue if you use WLAN. I use WLAN and most time it works... maybe the VPN changes this as well as windows than shows wire connection instead. If you have low memory <=8gb(old or low budget PC) you should use the low memory mode in steam or maybe delete the loading screen movie somewhere in the safe folders. Atlas is purely optimized and you need a quite decent PC to play it. You can repair your game data via steam. If this does not work you may delete some files to let the repair start the download again. Check if you can join single player server? Than test official PVE and PvP and maybe some private server. It can be issues that occure only on official Atlas servers(like my VPN - Primal Game Data BP issue - sometimes on PVE server, always on PvP for example)
  6. Well you got this right after 2 month playing. Hopefully the Devs learn from this. For starters it's obvious to go with the earliest available ship which is currently the Cog. But it offers you only 2x2 cannons and a decent weight capacity. I found a mystical BP with 5 sail points, so you can potentialy place a large sail and a small one on it. It can be used to offline raid bases and ships close to the beach. 1. The armored docks where made expensive to avoid their spamming... but of course that's not great for beginners. With a reduced gold cost for beginners of even 1 for free this could be solved... BUT... the PvP comunity will abuse this with second accounts, or single man company etc. So what ever the Devs do in this direction it will be exploited some how. As the ships now do not cost dolg anymore(which I at least prefer for the Shooner) the gold sink is reduced quite drastically for big companys... the just need to safe money for the high quality shipyard(2-3 Mio gold) That's quite insane to get level 60 ships now.... lot's of gold for simply a few levels advantage. Still may worth it with the catapult ship (max)level meta. 2. Unfortunately the claim towers don't give any offline protection. It would be great if you could set a peace timer for the claimed area and all structures + green anchored ships in this area. Not for Players and Tames. It should be only a small area to protect max the range of a warehouse with 3-4-5 connected farms. Based on the Player amount in the company it could vary. 1 Player = 20h protection, 4h combat time. >10 Players max reduction to 16h peace time. The amount of claim Towers per island should be reduced to max ~10 + ~3 sea towers. Now the global counter is more easy to programm but allows much more claims on one island. Again this could be abused with a second company settling next to each other... PvP Players will find their way to every exploit xD. 3. This button is a feature to troll all Players who don't know how it works. You click it an start from 0 again...all progress lost. Well it's not funny and most likely a known bug since the beginning of this game. But the UI is hopefully a place holder and will be improved in the future... after they start fixing the major bugs. PS: Loosing modular ships is very easy because of a bug that destroys the ship sometimes if a module gets down to 0 HP. Also the repair system is broken for modular ships. You have to fight SotD broadside with those which is also not *great* fun.
  7. The "official" wiki is not supported for some years now. If you need detail resources I recommend to check out this side: https://atlas.antihax.net/
  8. tames can stand it very very long... if you put farmed plants/fruits into the trough. If you are on PVE I asume you build a wall around your tames that they do not get stolen by other players... this is possible after some days.
  9. But considering the added hads for christmas or haloween this seams to be quite an easy task to address for the Devs
  10. If you start this game and try to figure out lots of stuff, quests and explore the different islands biomes you can easy get to 500+ hours in PVE... and you may not have build a mystical ship etc. So yes, for 10$ it is worth. If you have some friends or make some in the game it can be even better, because then you can do the big thing like Dragons, Hydras, Kraken and Into the Ice. Some of them are possible solo but not for beginners. Many AAA titles want have more playtime than 100-200 hours. Of course in Atlas it also depends on the grinding and multiplayer servers. On PvP Server you will have to start new every few days or weeks when somebody "raided" you. 2 years ago you had a discount down to 3€...
  11. you could build a silo on the shore where you anchor and put some berries in that one... lasts forever.
  12. It's quite the same for me. I like the idea of survival game play with a harsh environment(snakes, tigers, lions - golden age etc.). I also like to stay alife in this game keeping the vitamins up. But for hardcore PvP this mechanics do not matter of course. The first maybe 1000 hours of this game is pure exploring of new stuff... many did not kill the kraken or Yeti Boss in their first 1000 hours. Thats insane and shows the variety of the game. Of course this feeling stops when you build your third harbor and base, your 10th mystic ship and so on. The SotD farming is quite interesting for a long time as well(ifthey had better loot table andrebalance the BPs)... or your first whale kills with a special build ship for this task. But after those exploring 1000 hours you may face the bugs, search the exploits and stress every feature of the game to it's limits. And that's the point where I always stopped on PvP Servers... when it makes you sick in real life to keep it going 24/7... in the night, when you are at work... What brings me back now is only the hope that new Devs may start fixing the game, fixing the new features like market, farmhouses, trading, modular ships... I just want to see if they further ignore community feedback or if they will make the game better. If they will change the Islands with reduced mountain heights or a natural harbor bay for every islands... or just make new "maps" with the same old islands. If they can improve the lawless claim system, add some lawless offline protection. I really don't want to get back to this game for the toxic griefers that where all around. I mean you even have ingame VoiP and chat but there is no roll play... no way somebody accepts your surrender or just want to play a fair fight. Red = Dead is something that is very bad for the Player amount. Kids that troll around because they can't stand a loss. The game should bring you out on the sea... but it's most time Land combat about griefing and trolling others.
  13. Hello Devs, Hello Players. I am back, installed the game again due to christmas holidays to test the new patch. My target: Testing the new modular ships not using any of the old once. So I started on the official PVE Server in the Rookie Lawless. After maybe 8 or 9 hours I am done so far and just can't stand it... what a shame you did there Devs... time to bug fix the ships!! So the start was quite easy with 2500 hours expirience in the game. The Cog is a really nice starting ship... very cheap now and fast to build, you just need some level ups to get the skills. 9000 weight you can go every where not needing the sloop anymore. It's size is good, speed is decent - i couldn't find gem, so i couldn't check with sextant buff. Only stupid is the small single sail... why not make a medium at least? Hitbox of the ship is quite to large. Turning speed is very low... but ok, it's a starter merchant ship. If you place double cannon module the front cannons touch the stairs blocking the front deck or sometimes even get bugged and can't be used to fire.... fighting power is very bad with 2 cannons abviously. Not worse to farm resources for cannon balls. You can't place railings on that one, so you don't have a diving attachment. My monkey just died on my shoulder while i was on the cog - food fine... he may was under water and couldn't breath? Don't care about such little bugs. So, time for somthing bigger. Next one is the Carrack. Well you need 1k gold for the advanced shipyard(thank you for reducing the ship costs). I did this with the cog and some sunken treasures and a hand full of 0,5 treasures. Unfortunately you need about level 35 to skill ship building as well as taming 2 to make higher level Treasure maps(with a Bear, Bull etc.). Got Level 35 with killing and harvest elephants about 1 hour. So got 300 cannon balls, a carrack with 3 large handling sails ready to go and started my journey. As written by @George Catcher after every encounter you should drive to an island and let the crew repair the ship... because as I also written in my Majestic Kraken feedback one year ago the repair of modular ships is absolut garbage! Repair kit costs are insane as well... just make the modular repair like the old ships... or balance the kits.... don't let the players have to look 5 seconds on the modul for 1k HP refilled. There is still no leakage symbol like the old ships had... so still very complicated to search the destroyed module to repair it... again the old system works well -> every hit(player action) repairs an amount of HP, it only takes 1x resources, it repairs to full over time... why try to design a new wheel when the old one was already round? A Square may rolls better? First basics -> level up the ship for some crew and resistance. Now with some green and yellow Shooners and Brigs sunk we should go for some bigger fish... NPCs on 10 cannons one sided sounds like a good plan... what about encountering a lvl 29 SotD Brig? Well the Carrack is long and very bad to maneuver. so you go broadside, make two salves and escape, turn about 1 minute(fun is gone already) to make the next try. Unfortuntately the Brig always aims on the same 7,5k HP gun port in the center of the ship... so this one is quite fast destroyed. With this ship it's nearly impossible to shot the SotD without receiving some hits yourself. So you wonder how the story ends? The mentioned gun port got down to 0 HP while all other had still 5-6k HP. When reaching 0 HP unfortunately the Carrack gets completely destroyed with 90% total Hit points... greetings to the fishes... Here is already the end of my feedback to the actual patch. Modular ships do not work Devs... same issues like one year ago with the first one.... nothing changed, nothing fixed, all broken. I don't care about damned land structures for rotten meat or wonders... I want (working)ships as a Pirate.... I even did not make a grid change with the carrack... it already sunk before... PS to the Crrack some little issues: Did you even know if you put tames on the ship with wheel menu it always lands in the cabine below the steering wheel... but those doors are too small even for a pig... can't get it anywhere else on the ship. Besides using those modular ships as cheap transport ships they are useless in the current state. PVE Players lought at me when i tlaked about my test setting... they just said: Don't do it.... build a Shooner, or straight away a Brig. You can place railings but only in the shipyard... well i guess to avoid repair material abuses from the old ships with diving attachment? But you can't place cannon railings... well you don't need with those two decks of up to 24 cannons to one side. YOu only need to skill 20 levels into crew to use those... the feeling of this ship is very bad. Cog weight: 9000 -> Carrack weight -> 9000 ?????? the Carrack is twice as long with 6 module places instead of 1 and two decks... who of you does have this ideas - please think about some realistic balance between the ship classes?(not to mention the Cog has 1,0 sail points, the Carrack 8,0 = 3x large sail of 2,7 -> 2,666667 i don't get the math but it works). Also the third large sail can only be placed in front of the steering wheel into the stair case... so you barely can glitch around it to move around on the ship.... Btw. I found a blue print for a Broadsider in blue quality and wanted to test this one.... but my Carrack sunk because of one destroyed module.... what a shame. Feedback to portals: Did not reach any Portal so far... pictures of sunken Carrack: Only one module destroyed to 0 HP .... no other one leacking ... still under water instant... thank you for reducing the sink rate of the modulars... but this bug makes it still garbage. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2696483646 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2696483708
  14. They should go back to the old ships repair system for the modular ships as well. This system is really bad for combat(PvP) and PVE as well. That you can see the complete structure health as 100% is nice... but it helps you 0%. Maybe the sinking of the modular ship should start after getting below 25% instead of one leacking plank. Would also provide protection for some casual attacks on anchored ships.(cannon horse) Neutral ship... nice bug lol.
  15. 1. The towers need to give some protection to your buildings besides decay time and stealing protection by over claiming. I would suggest an offline protection like claimable islands where you can choose a Peace Time for your claim... but this has some other issues as well. So you Idea of at least improved building durability in the claim area is good. But amount of Claimtowers should be reduced. PvE needs maybe different balance in this point. Devs will not remove the Claim Towers.... that's pretty sure. 2. creative Players have(had) the option to build their perfect ship for special purposes(of course to gain an advantage with knowledge). Some needed tricks like placing structures before the hull to make your harbor run shielded design. But this is great content and freedom for players. WIth the modular ships this will be taken away and that's a bad idea. To balance "broken" builds i suggest to reduce the BP overall buff. Cannons max 200%, planks max 200% damage/HP buff. 3. Modular ships do not solve this problem, they make ship building just boring. You don't need creativity anymore. You don't need knowledge... you can ignore ship weight etc. They may improve the performance due to less structures... but well.... 4. barrels need to be removed from the ship combat(catapult)... it should be only allowed to drop them maunally off a ship as sea mines if you get chased. Or to destroy under water FOBs of course. If they stay with catapults the damage needs to be changed. Less structure damage to hull and sails, but maybe with a lucky shot you can kill some crew on the ship. But than you have the Issue with NPC weight and the ways you can put more barrels into the NPC manning the catapult. Also catapult reload could be changed to 1 minute... so you need to aim your shots very carefully at least.
  16. Please don't pull ideas of Chukiki. As you say yourself this ideas are most likely garbage. Better make some new post about this topic. Imagine the Devs read this forum now and take this ideas serious... it would be a big step back again.
  17. Besides some issues mentioned above already this is insane. There is a hugh list of (unexpected) bug fixes and known bugs that shall be addressed. Changes to the BP loot announced. Keep it up Devs. If this is the start of a new behavior and communication to the Pathfinder Community - and it is very welcome. Removed ship costs for at least the small starter ships is very welcome. This could make me reinstall Atlas to check it out... maybe in 1 or 2 patches in the future. BP shipyard costs look quite insane. But it really looks like you are making fixes like the Players ask you. Please remember the original ships are balanced by sails speed and weight. The new modular ships ignore weight in their basic structure completely. This could be an issue to add a fast ship with more weight capacity - but ok... i need to think about you may not allow cannons on this one so it's no PvP balance issue? Remember the good old days where you think 6,8 or 10 cannons on the Brig... or only one sided to reduce weight, reducing the ships to only necessary parts etc. while 2000 hours before you were so happy about your 18 cannons 6000 weight first combat Brig Everybody is allowed to give feedback and it should be listened to. Even Players like Chukiki gave their feedback here and it was discussed about it. Obviuosly not everything will work fine and some ideas are bad. Would like to see your veteran suggestions. Feel free to post them. Feedback to optical issues and bugs is also necessary... but for me the gamplay and balance is more importand as well.
  18. I wonder if they changed the costs for the kits in the last half year? I bet not. Still you drive Majestic Kraken with a complete material of a Shooner crafted into repair kits? All mentioned with so much issues of the new system but never adressed as well. Still patching the kits for what was it? 1500HP looking 5 seconds onto one plank? Can't remember it, but it was awful.
  19. Such a simple question this new PvP ship don't have an answer for you. It's quite a shame.
  20. @George Catcher keep it up mate. You stick to the game and give a lot of feedback. Not all to agree to because of your PVE focus but still importand even it's sometimes only small issues with painting failures etc. Those have to be adressed as well. Reading all this I can't get me to reinstall the game after third final delete again. Hopefully Devs will show up some time and reward this by just aknowledging that they read your points.
  21. Nice idea to delete all feedback about issues of the game. This would be like steam forum where there are only 20 pages of topic shown and the older ones get deleted. Maybe the rest of the Player Base and young people is happy with Discord... i can't see any benefit in Discussion there - it's a total spam desaster with chatted opinions instead of detailed feedback that everybody has access to in a good sorted way(forum).
  22. Wow this is the first time the Dev Team ask about feedback in this forum in more than 2 years i follow this game. This is amazing and very positive. Unfortunately there will not be much feedback anymore because most players left this forum because they felt like it's useless to participate here. I myself refuse to participate in the Discord Spam channels because that is complete unorganized feedback - spam - trolling etc. My opinion is no - because i would expect to have very laggy connections on both sides. I heard about Players in Season 5 joining the NA from Europe and it was quite ok. But with the lags the game has even without the connection lag... Depends on where the servers will be located, or if the Devs can manage to improve the connection for both sides. For the amount of Players left it will be good though to migrate the servers. But this is fighting the symptom instead of the real illness. Does this question bring me back to Atlas? Most likely not. Even with new Corona lock downs i will most likely not reinstall this game duing this winter. The new updates don't look promissing for me. Yeah it's great to get new stuff(corrugated meat that can be eaten)... but my feedback of the past year here was to improve the added stuff, fix bugs(of this new stuff) and make balance changes in the first place. A new map with portals - well no idea about this, i don't know ark... but so far players loosing tames and ships in the portals... map gets smaller in total. It's still all the same islands just placed another way again. What about reducing the mountain heigths of those islands to avoid abuses and silly mechanics like building restrictions for defenses and glider nerf(which i think is a good mechanic). Players need islands with natural bays that can be a good basis for a protected harbor without massive structure spam. What about BP changes to avoid balance issues with level 60 ships and cannons with 350% damage, useless mid tier BPs(grey or mystical only) etc. (drop rate/reduced crafts)... land defenses are pretty useless against ships. What about changing the repair kit costs and the stupid usage mechanic of those. If you play a brig you only need to repair the upper planks, in the new ships you have to run through this small decks and search the damaged planks... risking to sink in 1 minute when 2-3 on different decks are leaking or destroyed. What about barrels on ships? Made so many Players quit the game and no fun to fight on the sea. What about Player customization of the new ships - structur limits everywhere, not allowed to place cannons on front or rear etc.? What about the nerfed farmhouse every player(group) now needs 4-5 diverse farms for less output(Most likely PVE issue only, PvP it would be better QoL so). Gold costs for ships, especially the Shooner still no like from my side. Lot's of bugs around trades(routes unfinished), farmhouse, warehouse etc. Can you now cancel a trade and reactivate later without the need of destoying the market? Building restirction radius instead of working on the basis of an overall island counter. There are so many issues around this game and all the new stuff added from Season 4 starting like Claim Towers that still offer no protection in lawless but allow others to steal your base etc. The trade islands and the buff structures that caused massive issues and got removed because of all those bugs again. This list could go on for a while but i think i have written about all this here already. So please Devs. If you want to make this game a Success aiming for a realease in maybe 2023 you should keep up with asking the community for feedback and checking this forums for lot of great ideas or even small but good suggestions. Edit: Quite funny to have a look into the steam forum too. There are still many new Players and all they ask there is questions about bugs and issues with the game that exist since beginning, got never adressed and cause very much players to leave because they can't play. Still selling the game with tag Single Player and unfinished Blackwood DLC.
  23. a great picture of a 3 mast ship but unfortunately the current devs are stuck with the implemented sails up to 6 large on the gally. Would love if the ships would look more realistic, but we still have to put our Dinos ehhh tames on the ships as well^^
  24. The new ships have less structures but the design is bad and nobody playing them. Which means no test data available if they even improve the performance. If they want to go this way they should remove all changeable parts from the hull, only free placement on the deck to add cannons etc. All cannons below deck should be remove able. You go hunt complete ship BPs... but than again the issue that work bench is too small(150 stacks) to craft the ship with 6 resources. Maybe they need to change stack size and this would be solved. You could repair only the hull structure points and bucket water once the ship leaks. But you must not run around to repair every module/plank. They would not need to programm all the different modules/planks in the ship model. There could be more different ship types based on 1,2 or 3 sails and not 6... so more like real ships from 16-19 century. So technically this would be a great solution, but playing i have most fun with the old ships building them piece by piece, deciding where to put the best planks, where to place the door, ladder, steering wheel, swivels and all this stuff.
  25. For me this game has ended. I deinstalled it the second time... should be the last time so. It is great fun to discover... but still shooners costs gold which is a no go for me. A Sloop is meaned for the first 1-2 days and than it's simply not needed anymore. Some still love the game and play it. Farm and grind their base, the gold for ships, spend ridicoulos time on hunting SotD and Treasue Maps for BPs etc. to have one ship for PvP. Still barrels everywhere and so on. No blancing of BPs as i suggested several times. 350% damage cannons with the increased level 60 ships it's hilarious. Most mid tier BPs are totaly worthless due to the high spread of mystic. I had too many negative points to play it further. It's too much hardcore for me playing PvP even in a large and profesional company with thousands of hours expirience of every player. You build up 1-2 month but you are never safe... have to be online daily with no break, griefing everywhere with toxic Players abusing bugs etc. Red = Dead no matter what. Ship combat is to expensive and way to much land griefing is possible. I suggested to reduce the island heights, instead they lowered the building height for structures, puckles etc. and gave us the spider to climb the mountains or a mortar ships to shoot bases on top, lol. Yes the People you play with make this game great. You find new once and build great teams from scratch. But once you hit the wrong toxic kid you are screwed by their stupidity. Fight fair 10 vs 10 company on see and win? Guess the enemy calls their mega friend in to wipe your base with 20 cannon horses. This game is great for playing and discover for >2000hours but the frustration level is also very high. For me this is the most important point to quit. But the game will be dead because of the Devs way. Nobody is seeing any positive aspect on the modular ships. Yes it's EA and everbody playing is Alpha/Beta tester and know it. Some will keep testing and give feedback on reddit, discord or any of this bull shit plattforms the Devs can't get good information from, but just get spammed.(My opinion) Maybe they will go on like this for another 2 years adding ship after ship and trade after trade, re arange the map layout etc. and finally call it finished. I don't believe this will happen. They abandone nearly everything they add "new" and don't fix or improve it. See the new ship... a longer shooner with 20/20 cannons not balanced with weight and sails most likely. Most Brigs drive around with 3/4 cannons due to the speed meta... what is this ship? Long, but small width... lower truning rate than worse kraken(shooner) close to a gally... but you may can place 8 catapults modular on the deck? Just for the funs? I'm done with Atlas.
