  1. I have two abadoned sloops in my radius and they are still belonging to old owner with all their structures. (thanks to them leaving i got a place to build a warehouse) I took over their not auto decayed silo with 3,7k gold. I placed a water claim tower and i think that Radius is super small... every ships with standard cannons could actually hit ships in this area that are not protected(PvP). So basically you need to spam large walls and their life gets buffed by the 400k points of the claim tower. But If you place large Walls around the claim tower it is invunerable If you can't hit the tower there is no option te remove the claim... which means this is actually a invulnerable protection... only mortars would have a chance to hit the tower or grenades. You could try to build a 50-100 pieces high tower to get up there with a cannon time to shoot over the large walls... but i guess you also can place walls above that tiny tower xD... it's actually a game changer to have 100% safe base in lawless. My biggest concern right now as i play to test the trade routes on PVE lawless... my market gathered 14k gold in 1-1/2 days up to the patch. Now i got only 3k after 24 hours of patch but still the same trades running...
  2. @Ranger1k I guess you are right. They don't care about the updates effect to PVE servers. New map will be smaller andPVE Players have to go on PvP Server. Mybe even private servers will be forced to be only PvP. Or they earn more money from all those private PVE servers. We will have wipe and 50-100 players per island. But that's DEVs target... more player interaction to be forced. But that interaction will be more like a cage box fight...
  3. Oh jeahh.... back home and my base is still my base... lucky me Did not have connection problems but ping is 150... So build two towers for my beach and one water tower for my warehouse to make it safe on PVE that it does not get stolen. <<<<<<< [....] Everbody is spamming this towers now for that reason... nobody on PVE would need to build them actually. Well market crashed this morning 5:00 UTC... no newer logs than those 12 hours old once... i guess all trades at that time just vanished... market shows me that there are ships out but ... no log... if i would ba an ass i would probably steal my neighbours farmhouse... he has 4 and me only 1^^ Let's be PVE Pirates Ok, just loged out of server to write here and do something else for 45 minutes until towers are up and -> game crash
  4. place a square of 9x9 foundation and put your bears on them. Then suround them with standard door gateways(single wood walls) to keep them inside... put them to neutral and they will eat everything.... don't use passive. Sloop is to small and cobra and lion will bite them or even sink your ship. Lions can even grap you off a shooner swimming in the water. you could also only place one in the cage and let the other one follow him.
  5. Thank you George that you make the effort to show some details about the claim radius. How does it look in game? Does this patch show us that all complaines in the last week were not read by the Devs in this Forums? @Gortok@Nami@Chismebeard all absence in this forum since September... Well looks like there were no complains about it in Discord so far^^ Sorry but i have to be sarcastic at this point. I'd like to get paid for testing this game further.
  6. Thank you for this short feedback from PvP server. It's slow = crap. No customization and change of weapons = crap. Repairing bugs and destroyed parts bug not solved.... but hey 25 squids less... WHUHU
  7. haha one week for PVE palyers to prepare the best pirate day of their life!!! Steal the hole Atlas without one cannon shot. GG. Hopefully my tiny base is still left over in 10 hours after work xD But my ships are not in a dock so i will have them(two sloops and a shooner).... but my tames are trapped behind an invulnerable gate. I shouldn't have closed it. Interessting who will be the new owner of my stuff.
  8. Well i get now over 13k gold in two days with 3 active routes of distance 30.00 which have all permanently 8-17 ships running. Keep updating your routes and hope you get one active player to trade with you. Or you may need to replace your market. If you only trade with your own islands markets you may get only 0 gold? You get cannon balls, gun powder, parrot eggs, wood, alloy and gem from events during the ships movement. Maybe your warehouse is unlocked and somebody stealing your gold? At H7 cold region there is all around cotton so nobody is really trading fibre... i only get hemp sometimes. Would be nice if the events would give me some sugar or crystal as well. I now have 40 parrot eggs... but get lots of iron and dark wood so far and have no 5 gems so easy submarine(after powerstones^^). Also events do not drop fibre or thatch. My issue is that i have lots of opal - gem nearby but can't place a farmhouse there due to worse terrain angle and other players farmhouse distance. I thin i could trade opal vs crystal next to me if i had opal^^ If i delete trade routes that did not get accepted so far i can't request them again?
  9. well the performance upgrade for relatively low costs for Series X compared to PC is much welcome for lots of players. Also latest update contains some single player bug fix so there is hope for the future.
  10. Well that are some good and unexpected news about bug fixes that also consider the single player! Keep going Devs i like that for everbody playing this game in this mode(i don't). Bug fixes of current stuff needs to be high priority to keep players attached to the game to test the new features. Improving of the HUD - Inventories - and market surface etc is much appreciated. Will test this after work. Looking forward to see the feedback about the claiming towers. That feature should be tested and adjusted before the next wipe to allow fair play for the following month in the Season 6.(I know you don't like the so cald Seasons xD) Water claiming there are no real information about that? How does it work? All structures in that circle are 24/7 protected until th tower gets destroyed? That means players don't reduce the harbor building at all but they don't need pillars in the dooway - you can simply open or close the large gates - quality of life improvement for each ship about 1-2 minutes. Ships are not protected in that area? If ships are placed in armored dock does the sea tower protected it from claiming if the land tower falls? Well all for lawless where you usually don't build harbors. Sea Horse/Dolphin of now use if they can't follow ship? Well nice to have a saddle. You may consider a water tank attachment to ships that could store two sea creatures while traveling?(like cargo attachment) (You may also add a cage for ship that could store 5-10 land tames? Yesterday i lost 4 free standing NPCs from my shooner by just driving(strong wind and wafes where unsync with the ship). I was close to lose the shooner to SotD after going off steering wheel because my bear glitched into the stearing wheel ... but i placed him in front of the ship. precrafted ships buff i don't know if good? Never saw one of them neither played myself. Maybe somebody have feedback better than some single players youtube video? You may should be allowed to remove cannones and place blue printed once? Bugs with auto destroy after loosing ship segments got solved? Instant repair of the planks got solved? Ships respec is a great addition to the game. Thank you for that one. I see no issues to this change. Hats for crows... well thanks for the effort... but maybe actually wasted developers time? Fix bugs please? You may improve the HUD and inventory - change the font to allow letters like German äöü. Several translations are not shown correctly or text is overlapping into other text. Even english version has those bugs. The translation itself is good but just shown wrong or displaced.
  11. would be nice if you could give us some more test like shiping towards a large base if xbox series X can handle this now much better than befores Xbox One is 1-3 minutes lags? For me as PC players the series X seams to have some decend power but Atlas does not get any optimization yet.
  12. So far not. Well it would be something to laugh about. At least for me... i have only a small base, a warehouse, a market and a farmhouse + tamed 3 baers. Nothing to worry about if somebody needs to steal it. I have done my testings of the market so far. It's quite boring... i wait for gold to build a brig... i wait for resources gathered by farmhouse... i slow the farmhouse to 0.6 efficience to look if it runs now more than 6 hours(or even less). I don't need tames more than a bear. I don't need to gather resources from other grids and transport them with my sloop LULZ. I don't want to drive a sloop with 3-5 knots. I can't hunt SotD. I don't need to make treasures.... again 3-5 knots.
  13. Thanks for this infos. It's basically what i discovered yesterday evening so far. Until 17.30 i had gained another 51 gold but than two markets accepted that fit to my trades. Both run permanent trades about 10-17 ships at distance 30.00/20.00 (me H7 to H9/G8) so i trade sand stone for their marmor and we trade it back. Same with wood and thatch. Metal is not running that well... i get much iron but there is actually nobody buying all that iron i receive. My warehouse feels a little like it's complete empty(start with 30k of each). But good news is that all trades are actually 1:1 so i don't get cheated on PVE so far. And i earn of course the special event resources like gems or cannon balls or parrot eggs. So far to 5.30 in the morning i made over 4k gold now. Just need somebody with a trade for honey/any suggar/crystal because i don't have that myself. So if i have like 3-4 good trade partners i should just reject all other 90 trade offers i send to markets? Conclusion: The system is actually set to be exploited to generate enough gold to sink it into ships but still reduces the amount of starter ships. ALso no need to fix treasure maps or sunken ships as nobody does anymore^^. Well you could say just remove gold costs for ships and don't generate gold with trade loops. So far it does not look like established companys have les ship than before(just need some days more to get the gold). I saw one PVE island one compnay had like 15 transport galleons... wtf...
  14. @Ranger1k thank you very much. So i tried the system to use it as intended and do not benefit of that one... in fact it will take weeks to earn gold that way. Also I may loose all my materials if i trade 1:1 because others will abuse that... well it was already funny to see the diverse ratio setting up to 100:1. I just wonder how this could match... but a simple average between the offers... LOL and not to mention that as you say others have their routes set up and don't need me to interfere... crazy. Best option is to look around for a second warhouse spot and trade with myself in a constant loop. *haha* So many players still searching for a spot but everybody needs two or trust worthy neighbors.

    Outlaws of the old west... ah that was fun for 500 hours as well... but a real exploit desaster as well. I build a base in a rock where you could get in by walking through bad surfaces. Did not need to use bugs like chairs or mines or horses(still was an hiden exploit base)... well hunting players that build base on the bottom floor of the map room 100 meters below surface... Cheats you could just activate with an external programm to fly or change movement speed etc... but my mades got me into Atlas from that game which was my first survival expirience. OoftW is dead - development stopped. Hopefully Atlas will turn - the hope is still there - i will never play Ark.
  16. Well that's a very sad story. So you also tried to kill the playerbody? I guess you will get no help in this case. Start over or wait for the next wipe.
  17. Also important: Xbox Players are used to voicechat with the xbox app or xbox gamebar app windows 10. It's working very good and simple on Xbox and it's working on PC as well. BUT! Lot's of PC players face issues to get it running as intended... i myself invested 15 hours(still don't know why it worked at some point). The alternative use of Discord was bad for Xbox Players because they had to use that with their smartphone and use two headsets therefore...
  18. Well as already mentioned 90% of xbox players that are still active switched to PC... but they still have the alt Xbox account. Atlas was sold once for 3.99€... you don't think some guys bought several copys as gifts or used them directly on alt steam accounts? Also for 25€ you can buy it right now... not much for most players.(look at World of Tanks etc where players spend 200-500€ a year) or monthly costs for WoW... I am testing the market now on PVE H7 grid(build it far into the ocean). After two days 2 of 90 available markets accepted trading with me. Tonight i had my first trades and this morning i have 157 gold earned... well i have a shooner because somebody gifted me 5k gold and i scooped a floatsam with this shooner that had another 5k gold.(The brig with cargo sunk anchored next to my base) I have one connected farmhouse that stops work after 5-6 hours even if i empty it... So resources in warehouse are about 15-20k to trade. Well time will show if it gets better. I will try this evening again to ask around in the grids to accept my market for trading. Still wondering if it's possible to trade softwood for softwood for example, i saw this in a 3 month old video.
  19. can you explain what happened? All characters got lossed on the official server with all progress they had? Sometimes the issue gets solved by waiting a day or so and delete or move the game safe files to force the game to load new once. Maybe you try steam repair Atlas as well. I heard sometimes this gets back the character but i also know several cases when players lost their character during the 2k hours i played the game. In Beginning of Season 4 this was very common during grid changes... I remember the hole alliance did not grid change for about 3 days. Or is this a Dev wipe due to exploit or cheat usage?
  20. Long story short. The game is playable on Xbox One as long you don't face islands with lots of structures. A normal PvP Main Base will cause Xbox one to shut down - you can't play or if lucky you have lags about 1-2 minutes. I(PC) usually had to drive ships out and in the harbor for Xbox Players that they actually could play. We also had a small island claimed for the "Xbobs" where they could play without crash and a tiny base and no secure harbor. Maybe next Gen console have the power to play properly. I played the game more than 2k hours now for 20€ - i think it's worth it. It was sold for PC once for 3,99€. Yes there are lots of bugs but after 1 year absence the Devs are back with a tiny team but adding more new stuff than fixing the current game actually. Single player is very buged so you may play the official servers with the issue of lots of structures = crash. You will loose your ships due to icebergs that spawn in front of you or lags when hadding to islands or while grid change due to 2 mins lag while Ships of the damned attack you. 90% of the players i know started with Xbox changed to PC - most of them bought one for 700-1500€ to play this game without lags... I recommend to get in a company with PC players. If you have crash they can carry your sleeping body out of that area or kill you on PvP if you can't reconnect. Don't know how PVE Players solve such issues.
  21. I wonder which PvP server you are playing... or everything changed in season 5 due to the barrels? On EU PvP all videos i see on youtube are with galleons and brigs that have handling sails - reduced weight build for most speed but with some catapults for barrels(compared to season 3/early 4) - and all cannons are in the gun ports because again less weight when closed. Some have rear 1-2 cannons or the catapult, that's it. As already requested please tell the exploits? Turtle build before adding the planks to exceed them is only possible while in the shipyard. For every PvP player i know this is PVE build which is so easy to sink i usually would let them pass because i think pur noob watched youtube ship builder guide. Well it could be a harbor run ship design but then you would not see any rear cannons. That's very sad to here... well Devs add lots of stuff but most of them is bugged and not fixing the current bugs to reward players for actually playing the game. But time will show if they change the BPs soon to get worth stats depending on their class.
  22. You could try to make some roleplay. If you meet some other player you could ask them for fighting just for fun. On land or on sea it does not matter. If they agree you can have fun and maybe there is no base demolished and the other is not angry and needs his big revenge with offline raiding. You may let your prey escape if they are not interested in fighting or you offer them to surrender. Actually this happened once to me. la FLotta del Terror joined my grid to ask for some 2 vs 2 Brig battle. It was fair and a great 1 hour battle i lost but i rescued one of the Brigs into the harbor while they had to run freeport to fix there holes too. They had so much fun that they told their Ally about so those guys showed 1up with 4-5 gallys. They did not ask for a battle but shoot our harbor and anchored ships telling we shall get out they want a fight too. If not we get wiped.(Fun fact we had only 1 common gally not leveled and not upgraded) So you see the community is sometimes toxic but there can be nice guys out there as well. To start being the nice guy is the issue if others refuse this game style(red = dead)
  23. Yes and No. On PvP you need lots of Berries to feed houndreds and even thousands of NPCs daily on your ships and stationated as island defence. On PVE you need them for same but you have much less NPCs. The hugh amount you get in the farmhouse that auto collects them and if conected it transfers to the warehouse. I usually drop them. But if you gather Berries by hand you may get about 10-20 for everytime you pick up from the ground. There are also Tames that can gather some resources faster than the player himself with his hands or tools. When I played active PvP before farmhouse was added i had to collect about 200k Berries every 4 days to feed the NPCs. I used a Giraffe for that as it could get up to 30k Berries at once.(standard stack size is only 100) The other resources you need indeed a lot of them. If you build a Galleon you need about 100k Wood, Thatch and Fiber. To defend a harbor on PvP with some lines of stone structures you spend easy 5 Million of stone and wood. The farmhouse took away some farming from Players but a Player can gather faster than the farmhouses. But it runs still if you are offline. Conclusion: It's depending on the purpose you have. For some they get too much resources and can't do anything with them(PVE) while on PvP you upgrade your defence permanently and you loose ships etc. Consider a company with 50-100 players and everybody wants to have his own ship... yes you can easy do things with all those resources. And you also need to trade them to get som gold income.
  24. Chukiki we are now 4 month into the wipe and of course large companys have achieved everything... they simply worked for that. They fighted for the best islands and they spent all together several thousands of hours playing this game knowing with the next wipe coming they will start over again. You are just complaining to be solo and don't have a chance to offline "raid" them as revenge ***BBBUUUUHHHHH*** Offline raiders are the worst toxic idiots we have to deal with. You will never ask in chat for a fair fight 1 vs 1, do you? Therefore aromored docks are a good solution. You wonder why a fleet is sinking your shooner? Because they know that if they let you pass you will most likely try to offline raid... simple logic. Only issue I see is that gold cost for Shooner is a very bad solution. I don't know how much gold a market generates so i can't tell is once settled this is no issue anymore. All this has nothing to do with the topic itself. Time will show how Devs think this new feature should work. Maybe it will be a big desaster if people try to steal other bases and ships etc...
  25. Wow Chukiki... well a long story and good explained but the idea is worthless. Farm for 1/20th? So hit a rock and instead of 40 stone you get 2 or instead of 40 stone you get 0,5(80 players) - 0,5 is not possible You basically tell others that they can't interact and corporate with other but all you want is being god with "cyclopse" NPCs and a NPCs fleet because you are solo and not able to find a company. There where posts here that mentioned you got kicked from company because of bad behavior. If you are driving a ship on PvP Pirate server you may face some pirates instead of offline raidable bases... surprise you lost. If you want to play Atlas go to a private Server with 10 or 15x settings where farming is no issue. If this is not what you like just leave and play strategy games as the god commander. Please stop posting your ideas here, they are of no use!(My opinion) If you don't understand Ranger1ks irony well... he is not supporting your idea.
