You want to roll your face on the keyboard and make the only two tames that are somewhat challenging easier? The breeding system isn't bad. If I did anything I would make the imprinting process more complex with a shorter time span. Lowering the gestation period would be a terrible idea. In 24 hours with a one hour time frame I could spam an island to death with tames.
