My wife and I are trying to play in co-op mode where she is hosting and I am connecting to her via the non-dedicated server page. Playing was fine up to the point when I died then I wasn't able to respawn no matter what I tried (home or current button). I relogged and selected a new start point. We both had started on Island 17 so I tried to respawn again there and it wouldn't work. I selected Island 16 just to see what would happen and it worked sort of. I was clipped into the starter building stairs. I on purpose this time died to a boar so I could try to spawn back on Island 16 and then the same happened. We both restarted and I tried to rejoin but again nothing worked. The host wasn't even able to teleport me either. Need help with this please.
