  1. While I agree this game deserves more attention, stealing from them is not the way to get them to give more attention to Atlas. It is clearly stated during the purchase process that this is an early access game, it's buggy and incomplete, as well as the potential NOT TO BE FINISHED. You're an idiot. Plain and simple. You are incompetent for admitting on a public forum that you have pirated one of their games. You're email and some personal information are linked to your account so technically they could legally pursue this if they wanted. Grapheshot, Instinct Games and Wildcard Studios have no obligation to you and have every right to perma ban you from their games based solely on this forum comment.
  2. To add to the previous two comments. Gamma correction is another setting that will reduce this glare. The color settings on your TV or monitor might help as well.
  3. The select button is the button with the two boxes on it. Historically this has been a select button location but it's been relabeled to a menu button or something of the sort. Hold it down and it brings up a wheel menu and the third person option is on the left side. Selecting this toggles first/third.
  4. No. Simply No. This is a survival game and one of the aspects of survival is to eat a balanced diet and stay hydrated. There are skills to help deal with this under Survival and cooking to help with this exact thing. As far as buffs go, if you die, of course you lose the buff. Don't die. Be more strategic when going into combat are being out in the wild. Certain recipe foods give specific buffs. Ale for instance decreases damage take and increases melee damage. Certain skills increase damage. Armor reduces damage. Use a shield with Parry skills. Build your character to the way you like. There's a skill tree for healing. Celery soup increases health regen. There are quests that give permanent boosts, for instance killing a sperm whale gives a permanent bonus to taming affinity. Meeting a 'friendly' mermaid gives a permanent boost to stamina if I'm not mistaken. Played right, your player character eventually becomes pretty over powered except on bosses. Starting out, you are weak but eventually you work into a much more powerful character. If you want to be super over powered, play singleplayer or unofficial. I however prefer a challenge.
  5. I know you can only have Ten level one crew members. You shouldn't be able to purchase more if you have ten level one crew members, but it may be glitching and letting you but as a result your other's are being removed. Have you leveled up your NPCs?
  6. Honestly if you were able to rent a server and attach it to the existing 15x15, regardless of gather rates, generic resource etc. - You're entering pay to win territory and they won't go near that. The best shot Grapeshot has for continued revenue is DLC just like Ark. They won't enter micro-transaction territory thankfully, or they would have already done it like Ark. But to be honest, this is one game where I would actually pay a few bucks, nothing over $10, to buy a unique ship skin or something along those lines. Something purely cosmetic of course. I think a lot of the player base would hop on that as well to support the game. The issue with micro-transactions in it's current state is the price of digital goods. There are numerous companies that want you to pay $20 for one single skin on a gun or character, looking at you Apex Legends. That's just asinine. Something like a Galleon ship skin that you'd see constantly as you sail through Atlas is much more worth the $9.99 I'd be willing to pay.
  7. What Xantria said plus the behind the head spot doesn't work anymore either. You have to be on belly side, near the knee and looking in between the tusks. It's a very very small sweet spot and I get hit a lot. Sometimes the feeding interrupts the hit.
  8. I'm a newb still in regards to crossplay with this game. I'm assuming since there are mods this isn't xbox friendly, right?
  9. Verify game integrity/cache in steam settings. Likely a corrupt file.
  10. You're right, new console player. I've been through the forums and I've seen some of the content changes that have been less than fortunate. While I can see why the community is upset with the development of this game so far, I don't believe downright bashing the developers(Which I've seen plenty of times) is the way to get them to move in the right direction. I have don't a twitter, but most of the developers seem fairly active on there compared to here. So maybe we can move our thoughts to that platform to encourage to developers to refocus. I believe Atlas has far more potential than Ark in many ways and I'm hopeful that they will continue to pursue this. It's clear they still have a team working on this game, but not what it used to be.
  11. They're focusing on Ark Genesis right now. I'm hopeful that they will return to full production on this game once they focus is shifted. What do you like more about this game versus Ark? Just curious
  12. I hope you haven't given up hope Earl.
  13. While I understand and agree with you for the most part, let's not forget this is an early access game and it's made clear upon purchase that it "may" not be finished. Instead of being negative all the time, why don't we enjoy what we have been given so far and inspire the developers to give this more attention so we can continue to enjoy it. Cheers mate.
  14. There's rice, maize, honey, beans, peppers and like one more thing in that town. I have not found wheatgrass there though. I'll have to double check.
  15. I meant by how you play the game - single player, on official or a dedicated server? Here's the fullscreen post I found about kernel32.dll , view the comments. Here's the redis one: Have you tried utilizing a new save if it's singleplayer? Maybe your file is corrupt? Your motherboard has 4 RAM slots right? Have you tried rotating your slots into the two unused ones? Assuming you play on a desktop and not a laptop that is. I want to see you get this resolved and enjoy this game!
  16. Hmmm.... Not sure how you're playing the game, but try checking the password in your redis.conf file. I've found two threads about this issue and kernel32.dll causing a crash. That was the solution to those two. Another solution was to add "fullscreen" option upon launch. Not sure what that is refering to. I always thought the game was fullscreen by default. I'm invested in this no Earl, I really hope we come to a solution for you.
  17. That's what I was assuming. I'll just have to spawn it in. Thanks for confirming.
  18. Seems like we're getting closer to a solution! Do you have windows 7? Have you tried reinstalling kernel32.dll?
  19. I believe it means you have no wind. You are going against the wind and have no movement. You also might be stuck on the shore. Keep turning to each side with your sails fully open with the wind and wiggle yourself out.
  20. When on the steering wheel, there are quick controls in the top right corner of the screen that should show a key combo to stop NPCs from automatically firing the balistas. Then you can specifically target a whale once in distance and they will only target that. The highlight looks similar to what you see what you whistle attack target, it's essentially the same thing. Hope this helps.
  21. Maybe I'm just getting lucky, who knows. I'm not that familiar with the spawn rates, etc. Good on ya for soloing it the snake!
  22. 92.14, -91.69 are the cords just on the edge of the arena he can spawn in. Found it again tonight.
  23. Unfortunate. It's my main area too, I'm on the beach east of the small town. The hyrda spawned on the western edge, just inside the beach and pillars. Scared the living **** out of me, because I wasn't even aware of them being in the game. I somehow escaped and survived, despite all of the different laser beams and gas that was being spewed at me lol.
  24. https://steamcommunity.com/app/346110/discussions/0/523890046868607103/ For file directory, change Ark to Atlas and it should get you to the right location. Had the same issue for Ark years ago when I played it on PC. If that doesn't work, verify game cache in steam properties and see if that helps. Ensure all of your drivers are up to date, to include your graphics card. Hope this helps!
