  1. Ahoy Pathfinders! We have heard your persistent requests and taken your feedback to heart about the current season, so in response we will be wiping the official servers for the start of Season 13! This means a completely fresh start for all those playing on our official network. Unofficial servers, non-dedicated, and singleplayer sessions will remain unaffected. The final day of the current season will be Friday, June 30th, when we will be wiping all progress from official servers. Servers will be going offline around 12:00 PM PDT and returning shortly after. This wipe will not be accompanied by a patch. Official Servers The three official servers will remain unchanged from the previous season, with the exception of the PvE server becoming all unclaimable lawless to help prevent single players and companies from claiming large expanses of land. [Global][PvP] Cobra’s Strike Crossplay 9x9 map size All quest content will be available One open world (no regions or portals) All claim types (claimable islands, claimable lawless, and unclaimable lawless) [Global][PvE] Whale’s Solitude Crossplay 6x6 map size All quest content will be available One open world (no regions or portals) All unclaimable lawless (no claimable islands or claimable lawless). [Console][PvP] Emerald Shores Xbox players only (no PC) 3x3 map size Quest content (Power Stones etc.) will not be available One open world (no regions or portals) Claimable islands and unclaimable lawless only (no claimable lawless) Final Note Again, we would like to emphasize that ATLAS is still in Early Access, meaning many things can and will likely continue to drastically change - even in the middle of development. Anything discussed is only up to date as of the moment it is posted. Features and changes that ultimately make it to the next patch, as well as timing, may be different from what was previously discussed. As always, we appreciate the suggestions and feedback from the community. Please keep them coming! Thank you for all of your support! 13. Ahoy Pathfinders! As we gear up for the new season, we have some exciting changes in store for you. In addition to the scheduled official server wipe, we have addressed several issues, including the display of loaded tames on Tame Railings, disappearing food in Tame Houses/Hatcheries upon server restarts, Xbox crashing problems, and much more! We've also made updates to the Vitamin management system, the singleplayer map, and added new ship tracking features, along with a few other quality of life improvements. To make these changes, official servers will be temporarily offline on Wednesday, March 15th at 7AM PDT, with an estimated return time of 12PM PDT. Unofficial servers can expect to receive the update shortly after. Unofficial Community We would like to take a moment to express our appreciation for the unofficial server community and the significant contributions that you have made to ATLAS. Your creativity and support have helped shape the game and offer unique gameplay experiences for players. We believe that the unofficial server community has the potential to continue taking ATLAS to new heights. We will be releasing an updated Server Grid Editor (SGE) after the patch on the 15th to allow players wishing to use, or have access to, the official maps. Note that there are no other changes to the SGE since its previous update. We understand that modding is an important aspect of the ATLAS community, and we're committed to supporting mod developers as much as we can. We are working on an update for the DevKit to match it to the latest version of the game. While we don't have an exact release date for the update yet, it shouldn't be too long after the patch. We hope that the updated DevKit will make it easier for you to continue creating amazing content for the game. Released Patch Notes v.557.6 Official Servers Wipe & New Maps We are returning to our larger map layout for our PvP server, though we are retaining the Xbox only server format for those who prefer it. Added torpor to the player when overeating. A player’s stomach will visibly get enlarged when they are overeating. Pooping: Is there anything more immersion breaking than randomly pooping on the floor? We are proud to say our pirates are now potty trained! Removed the chance a player will poop randomly. 15. Ahoy Pathfinders! Get ready to embark on a new adventure and explore the uncharted seas once again! This season, we tested several new modes of play on our smaller servers, and we've learned a lot from them. However, we know many of you are eager to get back to a larger map layout, and we're happy to oblige! We understand that you're all eager for news on what's coming next to ATLAS, and we promise to share that with you very soon. The final day of the current season will be Wednesday March 15th when we will be wiping all official servers for a fresh start. Servers will be going offline at 7AM PDT and be back online around 12PM PDT. Unofficial servers will not need to wipe at this time. Official Servers We are returning to our larger map layout for our official PvP network. However, we're keeping the Xbox only server format for those who prefer it. As for the official PvE server, it will remain the same size but with the reintroduction of the different claim types for companies to secure land. This brings us down to three different official servers: [Global][PvP] The Cobra’s Strike Crossplay 9x9 map size All quest content will be available One open world (no regions or portals) All claim types (claimable islands, claimable lawless, and unclaimable lawless) [Global][PvE] The Whale’s Solitude Crossplay 6x6 map size All quest content will be available One open world (no regions or portals) All claim types (claimable islands, claimable lawless, and unclaimable lawless) [Console][PvP] Emerald Coast Xbox players only (no PC) 3x3 map size Quest content (Power Stones etc.) will not be available One open world (no regions or portals) Claimable islands and unclaimable lawless only (no claimable lawless) Final Note Again, we would like to emphasize that ATLAS is still in Early Access, meaning many things can and will likely continue to drastically change - even in the middle of development. 17. Ahoy Pathfinders! As we continue to develop ATLAS, we are taking the opportunity to test out new server configurations before we return to a larger world map. This season, our PvP servers have been designed with shorter and more focused sessions of PvP gameplay in mind. We are now introducing a new server with a much more limited company size setting. This will allow players to enjoy the thrill of PvP with smaller groups without the pressure of larger companies opposing them. We recognize that Xbox players sometimes feel disadvantaged compared to PC players, and we are therefore launching a new server that is exclusive to Xbox users. For those who prefer to play with their PC-using friends, all other servers will remain cross-play enabled. To incorporate these new ruleset servers, we will be repurposing three of our PvP servers with lower population counts: [NA][PvP] Ivory Shores [NA][PvP] Seagull’s Beak [NA][PvP] Stingray Bay Ivory Shores, Seagull’s Beak, and Stingray Bay servers will be taken offline to wipe on Monday, January 30th around 9:00 AM PST. The new servers will be available on Wednesday, February 1st around 12:00 PM PST with the New Year Patch mentioned previously in this post. New Servers Three freshly wiped 3x3 Official PvP servers will be opening with a brand new map layout. Variant 5 Information: Mixture of Tropical, Desert, Temperate, Polar and Equatorial biomes. One home server which includes a lawless Freeport island. One grid containing a Golden Age Ruin island and a Trench (lawless!). List of New Servers: [NA][PvP] Emerald Shores Xbox only [NA][PvP] Seagull’s Beak Company size limit: 10 No alliances [NA][PvP] Stingray Bay Standard PvP Final Note Again, we would like to emphasize that ATLAS is still in Early Access, meaning many things can and will likely continue to drastically change - even in the middle of development. 19. Ahoy Pathfinders! To start off the new year right, we are reinforcing our commitment to better supporting our Xbox community. Unfortunately, there have been several game breaking issues affecting Xbox players recently. To that end, our primary focus for this patch is getting out a fix so that Xbox players can log into the game without crashing. There is still a lot more we need to do to improve the Xbox experience, but we are taking the steps needed to get us back on track. Additional improvements and fixes will follow in subsequent patches. We have opened a new crossplay compatible Public Test Realm (PTR) so that Xbox players can also participate in testing out patches prior to them being implemented on live servers. Xbox players can gain access to the PTR server by filling out this form: https://forms.gle/9LEBUWF8EXx15WTt6 Servers will be going down to deploy the update on Wednesday January 11th February 1st around 12PM PST. Servers are expected to be back up shortly after. Released Patch Notes v.556.1 Holiday Event Holiday themed items can be purchased from Holiday Vendors found on Freeport islands. Removed Grog crafting from Water Barrels. Grog can now be crafted in Cooking Pots or Grills. Improved performance on several structures/items. Reduced the decay time of fast decay objects from 12 to 10 hours. Updated the Tame House UI to show tames in a list. Xbox Only Fixed instances of crashing with tame structures. Fixed issues of not being able to use a tame structures option wheel. Known Issues Rabbit Statues lack collision. Xbox crashes when viewing tame information while a tame is mating or gestating inside a tame structure. Xbox crashes when scrolling through the menu too quickly. Xbox players are unable to purchase or use some holiday items. Xbox players are unable to reload mounted weapons. (Cannon, ballista, puckle, etc.) Incorrect UI for the tame hatchery and swarm house. Overlapping player inventory UI. Tames are unable to be unloaded from Tame Cargo Railings. We realize there are still a lot of known issues with this patch, but our priority has been getting out a fix for Xbox players crashing near tame storage structures. There will be another patch soon to address the above issues. Thanks for your understanding! 23. ATLAS

    SGE Update 11.30

Ahoy Pathfinders! With the new season, we have an updated Server Grid Editor (SGE) available for unofficial server owners. We wanted to ensure making a map was as easy as possible to all players, so we have added the ability to export and import server layouts. Players will be able to export/import grid layouts from season 10 or another personal layout they prefer. It should be noted that this feature and update is optional! To download the latest Server Grid Editor (SGE) click the the following link: SGE download Exporting Grids 1. Open up an instance of the SGE and load a project that you want to take grid layouts from. 2. Be sure to have ‘Show Server Data’ checked to see all the server coordinates 3. Go to the export tab and you’ll see new options with text fields above them: a. Export Server Json (this section will be covering this) b. Import Server Json (next section) 4. In the text field above ‘Export Server Json’ type in the server you want to export in alphanumeric format like A1 or M12 not the numerical coordinates such as (0,0) or (12,12) respectively. a. NOTE: you cannot bulk choose servers, it has to be one at a time. Do not try to use lists like A1,B2,C3 as it will not work. 5. Once the server you want to export is typed in click ‘Export Server Json’ and an explorer window will open 6. Save that file wherever you will find it and leave the syntax as its default (It will be something like: ServerGrid_B2) 7. Repeat steps 3-6 with all servers you are interested in exporting/importing. 8. NOTE: The data you are exporting will include Discovery Zones, Server Data and Island Data (instances, overrides and positioning). 9. Close this editor or File -> Open the project you are importing to. Importing Grids 1. Open up an instance of the SGE and load a project that you want to take grid layouts from. 2. Be sure to have ‘Show Server Data’ checked to see all the server coordinates. 3. Go to the export tab and you’ll see new options with text fields above them: a. Export Server Json (Previous section) b. Import Server Json (This section) 4. In the text field above ‘Import Server Json’ type in the server you want to overwrite with an export in alphanumeric format like A1 or M12 not the numerical coordinates such as (0,0) or (12,12) respectively. a. NOTE: Same as last time, you cannot bulk choose servers. It has to be one at a time. Do not try to use lists like A1,B2,C3 as it will not work. 5. Once the server you want to overwrite is typed in, click ‘Import Server Json’ and an explorer window will open. 6. Navigate and choose the “ServerGrid_Server.json” file you want to import and hit ‘Ok” 7. It will replace the layout and information of the Grid you entered in step 4. 8. Repeat steps 3-7 for all other grids. 9. Save your project. Final Note Again, we would like to emphasize that ATLAS is still in Early Access, meaning many things can and will likely continue to drastically change - even in the middle of development. Anything discussed is only up to date as of the moment it is posted.
