  1. For the love of Atlas, please fix the damn decay timers on pve. This issue has been a constant thorn in the side since day 1. It would also be nice to see a ship decay timer so we know how long these abandoned ships in our Harbour will be there. Simple things....
  2. Newbie? Sailing around and lagging out to see hundreds of unused boats everywhere consumes server resources...ever lag out pulling up to an island...maybe if some of the structures and boats placed require people to actually think and plan instead of spamming them all over then it would not be such a headache. The gold for boats is just one way the devs are going g to try and limit these...just not the approach I think will work well and will drive people away. And for your other comments, well, you are whats wrong with the world. Criticize suggestions and open discussion but offers nothing...maybe once you get an iq and grow up a bit, you'll be able to add some value instead of being a cancer. PS...been in a company lol...clearly you've never been employed or if you have, low end jobs where your opinion is meaningless.
  3. Ok here it goes....the ship prices are ridiculous and although I will check it out, not sure I will stay on official. Let's take a minute to really think through this. You have companies in the past loading the season up with tons of gallys, brings, etc. You have companies spamming farmhouses everywhere they can. No company needs 4 gallys and 4 brigs per player or 10 farmhouses per island...on every island. You have island points system, a discovery points system, and an xp system. How about utilizing those to control or manage and balance out the number of ships and farmhouses a company can build or control? Change how island points are distributed based on the xp and do of each company member to avoid companies tossing in unused accounts to boost their island points. If ships can only be built based on discovery points, you will reduce the amount ships a company can build initially. If each ship a company has on their fleet costs the company island points, they won't house 25 gallys and each gally and brig they do build would have specific purposes. Also, making farmhouses cost island points will encourage companies to use and place these strategically. I honestly think that by doing something like this it would improve server performance, and balance things out a bit better...just my opinion.
  4. what kind of circus are these clowns running? Is there any leadership in the company? 1. Update your patch notes before releasing the patch. This is standard practice. Imagine if Microsoft released server patches before the notes. Network admins and dbas would lose their shit. 2. Start communicating your road map even with tentative dates. Do you even have a road map or are you making it up as you go? 3. Work with your community instead of against them. Acknowledge the list of issues and prioritize them based on votes. You're a business, or are you? 4. Share and update frequently the list from step 3 and fix the mainstream issues, test these before you release them, and then refer to step 1. 5. Clearly the person or persons accountable for these is NOT doing their job effectively. Fire these people and hire someone who can actually lead a technical team. P.S. xbox is broke but you probably already know that and are working to add in new content before you get around to fixing it.

  7. After tossing in a patch that adds more issues, let's all waste our time harvesting gold and resources just so we can be wiped in the coming weeks...I'd prefer a patch this weekend to address the map lag issue personally over double gold or harvest or breeding or whatever you think will get people to continue playing this game...Every patch you push with with new content with new content that nobody asked for introduces new bugs and pushes more people out of the game. Fix the performance issues and existing bugs before you throw in new content. SDLC...qa your stuff before you release it and have a solid rollback strategy just in case it doesn't...don't leave it in "production" for days or weeks on end. Simple, right? Smh.
  8. Way to go devs...you took a borderline unplayable game and introduced more issues instead of resolving any that matter. The map screen is now laggy af and pulling up to an already laggy ass island is a disaster. Introduce farmhouses...great. ill throw them up everywhere and lag out my island. Let's shrink the map and a remove a server (pve), sounds like a plan, less real estate and bigger lag issues. Let's not cap how many boats a company can craft so that you can be sure to hit a few shipyards when you lag approaching an island only after losing your tames erroneously at sea. Come on grapeshot. Get it together. Either cap total boats or make the cost incremental so the 10th owned gally a company builds costs 50000, not 500. Secondly, bring back a bigger map or add more islands to spread out building lag. Finally, fix the pve decay issues (boats and structures) and implement something to control the amount of farm houses that pop up. They should be like silos...one per island per company with a decay rate of 72 hours if it isn't stocked with coal and running. Here's an idea...go back to the code and maps you had at the end of last season and start building from that. So many less issues. My crew aren't leaving the game just yet but if you all don't start addressing some of the real issues, you're not going to have a player base left to work with.
  9. The lag is horrendous and almost unplayable in many regions. Free for all farmhouses...they're everywhere. They should have the same rules applied to them as crew silos. One per tribe per island with a 7 day decay...speaking of decay, its so busted and this goes back a long time...why can't the devs address this? A thatch foundation can be demolished BUT if someone places a storage box on it you get to wait over a month before you can destroy it. I'm not sure why the decay timers can't be fixed...this should include ships as well. We have a Harbour full of abandoned ships...tickets in to devs, no response and ships sit here a month later. It wasn't so bad before they combined the pve servers because there was lots of space to build in lawless but now its frustrating and ruining the gameplay.
