  1. Good effort, you complicated the heck out of this game though. if you really want some good feedback that will simplify this game and make it enjoyable for most folks hit me up. I stopped playing a while ago but have been monitoring the site on occasion in the hopes it will get better but looks like you just keep adding more stuff and it’s not working.
  2. Will this game ever be released? Or will it always be a work in progress?
  3. Here is a quick suggestion: To keep it simple- maybe create a top ten list of fixes on this site and let us vote on them. Allow people to post their own fixes/suggestions there but no rebuttal comments. Just votes. Simple but effective!
  4. Can new/solo players realistically purchase a ship at 10k or even 5k? There are less people fighting at sea when it costs so much for ships.. it’s not like everyone can have a warehouse and a market to connect it too since they are limited....
  5. Can you guys just ask the few hundred players that still play this game what they would like to see changed or added? Some of us want to keep playing but theses changes are awful..really taking the fun out of the game.
  6. Freeport Vendor that Pays resources for Gold, would be just as effective in creating an economy as this new trade system. (with a lot less hassle) It would create a balance by allowing anyone to earn a ship (including new players), if you have the freeport ship salesman charge gold for ships instead of resources. Not to mention all players could buy goods from other player shops (which already existed in the game) with the gold they earn from the new freeport vendor. And if it was about getting people to intercept trade, you can have an NPC ship (similar to SOD) go from the player's market, to the player's warehouse. Trade itself can be conducted within the player shop and this programmed NPC ship can transport the goods allowing others to intercept. You can still achieve the goal of an economy/trade without new complicated content (new markets, sea forts etc). They seem to be creating more problems and turning off players, than fixing problems and gaining more players. Keep it simple!
  7. Add a Freeport Vendor that pays resources for Gold! anyone can then earn a ship (including noobs), if you have the freeport ship salesman charge gold for ships. Will create a true economy... (not limited to those with warehouses) All players can earn a ship, buy goods from other players and you can introduce all different types of ships without worrying about negative player feedback.
  8. Add a freeport vendor that pays gold for Resources! (not just exchange) anyone can then buy a ship from freeport salesman by earning it. You can keep everything the same if you want but you will then have a true economy. (not just limited to the few that have warehouses)
  9. You guys should try and focus on releasing this game. These additions are good but doesn’t seem like your getting any closer with release. Maybe just add a few things to make the game ready for release rather going “back to the drawing board” on a game that’s over two years old.
  10. Based on what you guys have written you seem overwhelmed with trying to fix this game. Don't Be! People Love this Game, that's why they comment and keep playing. (me included) Just do what you think is best and don't listen to all this. Most of us will still be here playing and complaining, no matter what you do.
  11. GT: CItodaddy99 (I think-have to doublecheck) I am an old married dude with kids, so I am usually trying to spend as much time in the basement away from them as possible. Usually weeknights 6-9ish and weekends in between soccer/cheerleading and a variety of other crap I don't want to do. Looking to join up with peeps, as I have been solo-ing it, and now am at a point where I think I could use the help. Been mulling over whether or not to use the 120 or so precious gold coins I've been hoarding, on hiring crew. (don't think I could afford to keep them-so haven't decided when I should) I setup my "starter home" in M10 on Ridgesomin next time I am on, ill come by and check you guys out.
  12. I think if you can add the Wild Pirate Encampments (WPE) and have them patrol the seas and attack islands/ destroy structures, it would really keep the PVE experience in check and also cut down on spam (essentially increasing performance). Plus it would make more sense than the Ships of the Damned (SOTD) everywhere you go. Make the SOTD really rare, (one per Tile) this way they can be another kind of Treasure in finding them. I haven't played against the WPEs in single player but here is my idea for how they could operate: Each Tile has two or 3 WPE companies and the would follow a course in attacking an island. The WPEs would operate like aggressive animals and attack your structures (essentially helping cleanup abandoned taming pins and all other kinds of spam/griefing structures). So if you build on lawless you potentially can be attacked by a WPE. This way people will be more apt to try and land on another players island and try and join them or pay them tax. (tax has to be affordable though- for people just starting out) I think this would be a natural check on the PVE side and help bring people together. Lawless wouldn't be inundated with structures/ships. p.s. I think you would need a tutorial on this, so people know they can sail to other peoples lands to join them or pay an affordable tax. I still haven't sailed to any land that is already claimed and ive been playing for a month.
  13. I've been playing on an official PVE server since the game came out on Xbox in Oct. After playing for a month, i really think you just need one thing that would improve it overall: I think if you can add the Wild Pirate Encampments (WPE) and have them patrol the seas and attack islands, it would really keep the PVE experience in check. Plus it would make more sense then the SOTD everywhere you go. Make the SOTD really rare, with a lot of loot (kind of like a Treasure within the whole experience of finding them). I haven't played against the WPEs in single player but here is my idea for how they would operate: Each Grid has two or 3 (WPE companies) and they would follow a course on attacking an island. The WPEs would operate like aggressive animals and attack your structures (essentially helping cleanup abandoned taming pins and all kinds of spam/griefers etc.) so if you build on lawless you potentially can be attacked by a WPE. This way people will be more apt to try and land on another players island and try and join them or just pay them tax. (tax has to be affordable though) I think this would be a natural check on the PVE side and help bring people together and have more fun.
