  1. You can hide them using one of the buttons on the left-hand side of the inventory. Can't remember which one it is.
  2. A bit more Atlas education for you. When you buy a cosmetic, lets say a pegleg skin. You pay 25 gold at a freeport for the skin, and you receive 10 skins of the pegleg. You apply the skin to your boots for one leg to appear as a pegleg. You have 9 skins remaining. Those skins appear in your inventory but cannot be removed or stolen or lost. When you die you still have those skins. If you die whilst wearing your pegleg and you fail to recover your bag, then that is gone. You will then need to apply another skin to your next boot. Leaving you with 8 skins remaining. A little different from ARK where you have unlimited skins.. 25 gold is easy to get so no issues really. The annoying part is when you die in your base and glitch under the floor like I did, you destroy the foundation only for your body to then fall under the ground where it lays, but you can't access it. Had to waste my pegleg, hook, and hat skin because of it, now leaving me with 7.
  3. No response yet, shame. It's funny how the stationed NPC crew being able to repair structures was immediately reverted because the players stated why it was bad. Was there a need for immediate revert, not really, but it was good to see a quick reaction. Really the end result should have been figured out before it hit the official servers. But when a new patch is implemented that gives PvE a nuke to wipe islands, there's no immediate pulling of the patch. How can anyone on the team believe that providing a nuke in PvE is acceptable for PvE? This image literally shows what someone on PvE is now capable of. This has to be the worst decision for PvE ever. So why is it always the players that instantly know it is a bad thing when they read something in the patch notes or captain's log? You don't even have to play the game to know giving the ability to wipe islands in PvE is absolutely wrong.
  4. It may be a 2x weekend but it is NOT 2x gold weekend.
  5. Actually the main thing that could cause a wipe atm is for them to decide they will implement NPC encampments on to official servers.
  6. Tames and NPCs (one located in bases) will just remain vulnerable to wild life on PvE.
  7. They've increased the amount of gold for PvE because it's a poor attempt at making it less worthwhile to grief players. As if a few more gold will stop people committing PvP actions in a PvE environment.
  8. It's 10 days for structures. A week he'll still be fine unless someone new claims the island.
  9. The mostly positive comes from PvP players on Discord. I raised my concerns initially on Discord and the majority of people that responded defended it, but guess what they were all PvP players. Why PvP players feel they have a say in PvE and tell PvE players how they should play is beyond me. But i've not seen any kind of positive response from PvE players besides maybe one or two.
  10. The positive side is the ability to clean up spam. The only reason we are getting this is because there is no simple solution to clean up spam, so instead the devs give the players a nuke on PvE to wipe anyone. So basically instead of taking time to continue to think of a more viable solution, they go the whole hog and just say "here's a nuke, have at it". What I struggle to understand is how the devs can claim this is PvE when they give the tools to players to obliterate islands.
  11. Yep it was always 10%, 5%, 5%. It's never been different, even before wipe.
  12. No, they need to stop giving players in PvE a nuke to wipe others. This is PvE. Just because there is a spam issue that the Devs struggle to resolve doesn't mean the players should be held accountable for it or become victims of others wiping them.
  13. How are people not paying towards rent when people that do treasure maps pay towards rent? I find it odd you make these statements considering you do nothing but play the game.
  14. Please explain how this is achievable if the flag is you know, walled off or inside the base? Lets put it another way. Lets say someone decides to quit. Before they quit they either give the island to a friend or sell it to someone. The owner decides to remove the flag, therefore no more upkeep, and the new owner instantly places a claim. They claim the island. 48 hours later they wipe the entire island. Now lets say that happened over a weekend, when i'm, you know doing other life stuff. I return to find my base and everything got wiped in a PvE environment by another griefing player? And also, whenever I do treasure maps on the island i'm on, I contribute based on tax, but now you are expecting us all to pay into the flag in case the owner, I don't know randomly decides to quit to prevent someone taking the island? I'm still wondering how this player wiping islands is considered PvE.
  15. Yeah not everyone will be a troll, but we all know someone will be. After the initial 24 hours of placing structures everyone is relieved on PvE that they are not at risk from griefing trolls, now the Devs have changed that so that your structures are at risk at any moment. It needs removing before the inevitable happens.
  16. There is no advance warning. A player could claim an island and wait 48 hours, then bam everything gone. If anyone is claiming people have 48 hours to pack up and leave, (which is absurd) then they are sorely mistaken.
  17. We pay tax on gold, get you're facts right. If a player claims an island a wipes EVERY players structures on the island THAT is PVP. End of. Just because the Devs are struggling to resolve the spam issue why do PvE players that settle on claimed islands have to suffer? I've had 2 island owners since the wipe. The first one quit EU PvE when NA PvE opened up. So taking this new change into account that would have been 2 different opportunities for players to grief an entire island. And just because it's a one time thing and a 48 hour window doesn't mean that it is a ONE time thing for the entirety of the game. We all know you spend 16 hours a day 6 days a week playing games, but the rest of us aren't so lucky to have free time to commit. Now the Devs are FORCING us to play every 48 hours in case someone claims our island. So instead of having the 10 day structure cushion for you know taking a few days break from the game, we've now got to worry that every 48 hours we don't play that there might be a new owner that wipes your stuff.
  18. I strongly suspect that if they introduced the NPC Pirate Encampments to official servers it will require a complete wipe of official servers. I suspect that is the reason for holding off for now.
  19. I can understand the issue of structure spam is an issue that has no perfect solution, particularly for PvE. We've all known this from ARK's experience too. But the solution is not to give the players in PvE a nuke, and say "have at it".
  20. I'd like to see them put a big focus on the raze mechanic for PvE in their release trailer for Mega Update 3, i'm sure that trailer will encourage people to play more. /s
  21. Exactly, it says the exact opposite of come to claimed islands. There is literally zero incentive now to build on claimed island, not that there was much incentive before, but now none at all.
  22. Tames - 8 days Structures - 10 days Ships - 21 days (but majorly bugged) Owners can demolish structures within 24 hours of placement. Now, a lot of players had concerns regarding islands being claimable on PvE by one person. The initial concern was that they can build, but for the first 24 hours there is a risk of the owner destroying their work.... weird for PvE but it was generally excepted, mainly because most people decided on PvE to settle on lawless. Claimed islands on PvE also had taxes as well, which people weren't happy with, but most settled for it because they settled on lawless instead. Very little incentive at all to settle on claimed islands. Then lawless structure timers increased to 10 days from 4 days, resulting in even less incentive for players to move from lawless to claimed islands. Then taxes became additive on PvE. This had little effect on incentive for people to settle on claimed islands. But all was generally good with the way it was. I've asked repeatedly for the timers of tames and structures to be slightly increased to 14 or 15 days to incorporate Europe's average holiday, and at least increase tame timers to match structures.... all of it completely disregarded and never changed. So a new major griefing mechanic is implemented into PvE whereby a player simply needs to save up 25k gold, which many will have by now what with the time we've had and also the 2x gold mythos weekends. Also a cooldown between claiming the island and demolishing the entire island.... wow a cooldown, that's gone stop people griefing! /s So now, besides the initial 24 hours building on claimed land, and the short 10 days structure timer that any solo player based in Europe becomes screwed if they go on a 2 week holiday they decided to add a "wipe an island anytime" mechanic that can result in other players griefing entire islands and wiping entire months of work in a Player VS Environment world. This reduces the incentive of people moving from lawless to claimed islands to zero. This is yet another rushed thought, that may work well on PvP, but is the complete opposite meaning of PvE. I understand that managing abandoned structures and structure spam is difficult, particularly in PvE, but coming out with solutions that empower players to majorly grief entire islands is poor thought management and hasty implementation. Again, it needs to be removed from PvE like other things have been removed based on player feedback. I will be gone the moment someone decides to grief the entire island i'm on. Even ARK PvE doesn't have this.
