  1. Barely anyone talks in the grids i'm in either. When they do talk it's in a foreign language and I only know English. There's certainly very limited player engagement in this game outside of private communications.
  2. The question is why are you ignoring the actual point this thread was about? When you pay attention to what the thread was about, you'll find that it was the complete opposite of one big joke because the devs listened to us and righted a wrong.
  3. Stop effing and blinding and show some damn respect, then maybe you will be enlightened as to what the problem actually is. But i'm going to do the decent thing, without effing and blinding, and inform you of the issue. It's a client-side bug. The single structure with bed is not meant to be triggered as fast decay and therefore adheres to the 10 day decay timer. The client is bugged and shows it as the 12 hour timer hence why it says demolishable when it can't be demolished as the 10 day decay counter is still counting. IF the owner doesn't log in for 10 straight days then the structure WILL be demolishable, or will vanish after next restart. BUT the issue you are experiencing is a client-side bug as pointed out by Jat below. So stop effing and blinding. You are the one sounding like a KID.
  4. No I don't mean like that, if I did I would have said that. This topic is talking about how the Atlas Sub Reddit is a big reason this game is dieing. But it's hardly used by anyone, so it can't be a big reason. People are just making excuses and blaming the players for Atlas problems.
  5. Was hoping for more news of Mega Update 3, but that Kraken skin is nice!
  6. Reddit is hardly active. Compared to the Ark sub the Atlas sub is almost non-existent.
  7. They haven't cancelled 2x gold, they just don't do it every weekend.
  8. Not yet, but maybe it will come a bit later. Have to wait and see.
  9. I'm not sure myself. I mean have you tried jumping into single player to see whether they are doing something wrong or not?
  10. @boomervoncannon and @Realist you guys really need to pay attention to what you read. The OP @Darkweaver is PvP, he was talking about PvP, the OP was about PvP. Did it say PvP, well no, but he did comment on the cost of 12k gold which is the amount to raze on PvP. So yes technically it was taken off topic, not on the subject itself but on the mode, i.e. PvP. And no the change was NOT reverted for PvP. The OPs points still stand for him as nothing has changed for him.
  11. It's a client-side bug. The structure is not meant to be triggered as fast decay and therefore adheres to the 10 day decay timer. The client is bugged and shows it as the 12 hour timer hence why it says demolishable when it can't be demolished.
  12. Yeah a few patches back: v207.981 - Enabled auto-destruction for decayed structures on Official Servers. They enabled auto-decay. After 10 days has expired it will auto decay after next server restart.
  13. It's odd that chests and some other structures have such high decay timers, but chests only have 40 day timer when placed directly on the ground. Placed anywhere else it's tied to the 10 day decay timer, or 3 weeks on ships.
  14. Try reading what the maps say. They say "Treasure contains at least XX Gold." This means they may contain more. But to really test it try it on a 20% island. But the fact anyone on this forum that plays PvE can confirm what I say it's not really necessary to test.
  15. This is where your 16 hours a day 6 days a week playing fails you because for PvE it is this: Resources farmed is not taxed from player, it is additive, i.e. free resources goes to island owner. Gold dug from treasure maps is taxed. Player loses upto 20% of gold from maps due to tax. Everyone on this forum will be able to tell you this is the truth, but i'm sure you will say everyone is lieing and that none of us play the game. Keep reading, he does refer to 10 days, and yes they do demo. The issue you are experiencing is that it is treating it in game as a structure that should demolish after 12 hours, therefore the CLIENT believes its decay timer has expired hence why it is saying demolish. But the SERVER is seeing it as an active structure with less than 10 days having passed. But your CLIENT is preventing you from seeing that, hence why it says it can be demolished but it can't.
  16. This post that you actually hit 'like' on, therefore acknowledging you had read it clearly states it is client side only. As you can see, Jat clearly says it is client side only and they are respecting their full 10 day decay timers and can be demolished after 10 days or auto demolished after next restart. I've seen it happen for myself.
  17. But you know there's a bug related to that currently. So stop acting like it is intended. Also that is ONLY CLIENT SIDE. It is not forever protected. You need to understand this. Also, you get free gold whenever people do treasure hunts, I lose upto 20% of that gold when I do treasure hunts on an island. You also get free resources when people farm on the island. Yet you claim no-one does anything for the island yet you get free resources? Or do you still not believe that people are taxed gold in PvE?
  18. Unlimited structure decay? Settlers have a 10 day structure decay just the same as lawless and unclaimed islands. It is no different whether you claim the island or not. You are now showing your lack of knowledge considering you play so much, or you are just trolling, not sure which is worse tbh.
  19. I'm not even sure what this "work" actually is? I mean from my view an island owner: a) Gets upto 20% FREE resources from anyone, settlers and visitors that farm on the island - no work required for land owner. b) Gets upto 20% of FREE gold obtained from from treasure maps that anyone, settlers and visitors dig up, and they themselves lose that 20% gold as it is not additive like resources - no work required for land owner. c) Have to pay gold upkeep for the land claim - well settlers and visitors support that by digging up treasure maps, also the land owner makes their own decision to claim an island and therefore accepts that responsibility. d) Land owners have a responsibility, if they chose to do so, to monitor the island and clean up any mess or spam made with 24 hours of placement. Again, they chose this responsibility when they claim land and they do not have to carry out that activity unlike paying the claim flag it is not a necessity. So really i'm struggling to see where land owners do all the work?
  20. Yep, and all the casual players are even aware of this issue already too and know that it's a bug that Jat has explained the reason behind it. It's good to be casual!
  21. Thanks @Jatheish for reverting the change to the raze mechanic on PvE, and thank you to @Dollie for taking the time to listen to us and take notes from this discussion (I say discussion loosely because it did get unnecessarily heated at times). I do apologise for my personal behaviour, and not making any excuses for it but I do love Atlas which is why i've dedicated as much time as I can over the last 4 months since wipe and would rather not lose all that progress due to another player in PvE. I'd also like to thank the Devs for not having the same attitude as this, which is one reason why things got so heated because the casual players of PvE, which lets face it is what it is often designed for constantly got told they don't have a right to comment. So i'm glad the majority in this debate were listened to. As for the spam situation, I'm fully aware of the difficult situation it presents, and I'm hopeful that other less destructive solutions will come in the future. Long Live PvE!
  22. Like you make stuff up in your head claiming the majority support this in PvE when there's about 2 people in this topic that support it compared to the large amount that don't? Also like you make stuff up in your head that people in this topic don't play Atlas and have no right to comment? Every post you make now is an embarrassment.
