After months of not being able to play Ark and Atlas with the same low level fatal error i tried this and am now able to play, what a life saver you are. I still can't believe this was the cause of such an error, pretty outrageous to be honest. Just change your settings under advanced in internet properties in windows to accpet instead of prompt. No issues since with either game.
