2 pointsI couldn't put a warehouse down either. So I had to steal from some farms, make a shack, go gather a few things form another island. Then I built come cannons and cannon balls and blew up all the shit blocking me. Now I have a warehouse. You see, the solution to your problem does in fact exist in the game. You are refusing to acknowledge it. Normally this is where I start bashing you for playing PvE and wanting/needing PvP, because it is a PvP game and not a PvE game. You can tell by your lack of options you currently have to pirate people, while playing as a pirate. However, there is still a solution I think. Here is what I would do. Build a giant structure around this other warehouse. Its possible you cant roof it in 100%, so build the walls as high as you can and as much roof as possible to prevent grappling hook and climbing picks as viable options. Now the owner cannot place another one or access the one he has. You have to be patient, and hope this other person gets mad and quits or leaves. If done right you can watch the decay timer and place your own when the other one pops. Sadly what took me 2 hours will take you many weeks likely, but three you have it. GL, hope to see you on PvP, where it is certainly not impossible for solos.

2 pointsCrazy idea... remove farmhouses and markets, theb combine all the functions into the warehouse. Give the warehouse the ability to farm ALL resource types on the island at the speed of 2 stone farmhouses. Limit the warehouse to either 1 per company per island or 1 per company per grid. Think that about covers it and kills the farmhouse spam to boot.

2 pointsBroken trading, 20% of bottles give a map. Most are worthless, the rest are on player operated islands you cannot get to. That leaves dives, if they aren't in the middle of ghost ships with a tiny sloop. Game needs to be monitored, maintain ed.

1 point1: Build a warehouse and ensure it is connected to at least 1 farmhouse. 2: Build a market within 10m of your warehouse. If it is 11 or more away it will not work. 3: Set up your desired trades (through the market). I.E. Honey for gems with a 1:1 ratio. The more you set up the more trading options you have. 4: Click find new trade route and then select one, click the gear icon, and request new trade route. 5: Wait for the trade route to be accepted. That's all there is to it. Once you have trade routes set up the game will automatically send out invisible ships and trade your resources for the other companies resources (your warehouse must have the resources inside it to trade them). Random events will trigger during this phase which can affect the end results (a parrot laid an egg so I have a fertilized egg in my warehouse). Remember, if the other person doesn't have things set up right it will not work. I found it easier to find another company I could talk to and set up a trade route with them. I haven't earned much gold yet, but at least I know it's working. Good luck out there pirates.

1 pointAs I've said before, they want the pvp route cos it's easier, you don't have to keep adding shed loadsa content to keep people interested, like you do with pve. That was obvious when we asked for more interior furnishings for housing and they blatantly admitted they had no plans to do it. I mean who the hell wants the inside of a building to be an empty square block in pve? Where as if you are hardcore pvp that prob won't bother you at all. Welcome to rust at sea.

1 pointAll this talk about how much a schooner costs... I don't even want a schooner. I've used brigs since the start of Atlas. I want a brig. All ships are way over priced now. Maybe we should change the name of the game now, from Atlas, to Castaway. Were we stand on the beach looking at the sea remembering the days of sailing. Yeah, we have sloops now but I just have no interest in a sloop for anything. I don't want to waste my free time crossing oceans at a snails speed, in a boat that is so limited. Nor do I find any enjoyment in farming in a sloop. I wonder if this idea came from the same person that thought up the FOY. So now we have servers full of 100 year olds, standing on the beach.

1 pointYeah totally, 1 per company is something that solos and small companies complain about because mega (company) have 1 per company also Sheesh. PVE players stop complaining please?
-
1 pointBecause then the solos and small companies would complain about megas having 50+ warehouses on every island?
-
1 pointLimit everything to 1 per company per island per grid per beautiful person who funded this early access game Why can someone be not in charge?
-
1 pointThank you @PiszkosFredfor the update! I will check the trade routes I have and demolish then remake the market if I have to. I really do want it to work. The devs just have to figure out how to make sure every company can have one on PVE.

1 pointFirst, i had to google what "JACK SQUAT" means - i learned a new expression, ty I have a market+warehouse combo, i set up some a few trade routes - with you too (im still from The Valentines) - and then nothing happened for a week. No ship, no income, nothing. Then last night it started working. How? Dont know, but maybe caused by that i deleted almost every offer, i reconnected the warehouse and suspended/unsuspended the whole bunch. Then i set up only a few offer with same input and output. For example strongwood for strongwood, with 1:1 ratio, Fronds for Fronds, etc. (because of the same grid limitation), then i logged out. After i logged in this morning during my cafee time, there was 500+ gold in my warehouse (with few cannon balls (200), with a 4 fertilized parrot eggs and with some random stuff (10-20 piece random wood, stone, etc) - probably got them from some random "event" of the market ship's journey). As i saw the log, in every 5 mins a new ship started to another market with 1700 strongwood for 1700 strongwood in return. This gave me sometimes 1 gold, sometimes 9 gold, etc. / trade. 500 gold is almost nothing in these days in Atlas. You cant do anything with that ammount (okay, you can hire some sailor to your sloop(s), but nothing more), and from 2-3 wrecks you got the same ammount of gold in a half hour. But as passive income, well, it can come handy anytime. I agree with you, this game and its mechanics is so broken, so untested, so messy... I never saw or experienced anything like this. The only thing keep me in the game is designing and building a ship. But, in this season they took away this aspect, not completly, but they made it hard.

1 pointNothing was stolen from you. They provided the server as advertised. Please point to the clause in your sales agreement which specifies that server would be provided in perpetuity without change. I was NA PVE as well and I get that you think it was a poor business decision and it negatively impacted you, but it's not fraud. No one stole anything from you. You purchased access to an MMO that no longer is exactly the way it was when you purchased it. This might not be the best business decision but it's not stealing.
-
1 pointHmm, you obviously don't live in low rent social housing eh? The only thing that isn't too heavy for these walls is a poster! and that's pushing it.
-
1 pointAre you a fool? The first person to play the game on the official server is making a collection of gold coins from Brigantine's belly? Yes? You're a fool. Why do we have to limit what we can do in the game? Keep in mind that the trade content and the gold coins on the ship were designed by someone as incompetent and lousy as begging for money on the street.
-
1 pointIt seems that server is down. Lots of other people experiencing the same issue. It's H3. Probably some others, too, but H3 Freeport is down. Any attempts to sail into that grid will disconnect you. You will be unable to reconnect and play Atlas again until they bring that server back up.
-
1 pointYou can just run a tracert on the NA PvP server to see where it is. I doubt eeeceee can face facts though, so probably a pointless conversation ;).
-
1 pointYeh Boomer, they've been doing such a great job on the game , i've finally quit! been a while since u were last here eh.
-
1 pointI totally agree with OP but you should know that I have 4 farms in G4 lawless connected to a warehouse connected to a market with 8 active trade routes within my grid with custom preferences set one to one to match what they have set up in their markets and so far it has amounted to JACK SQUAT. Itβs broken and sad so donβt feel bad. They will wipe again soon then you can try again.
-
1 pointI understand the issue mate, however, you can still earn gold by diving (diving attachment + oil) from a sloop for sunken treasures. You can also tame a couple bears and start doing a lot of common quality maps, and maybe green maps (depending on the bears' health). It takes maybe a few days / a week, depending on how much playtime you have, but is quite doable, to get a schooner. Best of luck. That said, I agree there should be a limit to amount of farmhouses, especially on lawless etc. Cheers.
-
1 pointDevs, I can save you a lot of effort. Reduce company ship limits (1-3 per person). Make green anchored vessels immune to deal or receive dmg, or just cap it at .01% dmg if it has to have a value. Add a gold upkeep to ships like NPCs and it draws from the chest onboard. Its not a big deal, Sea of Thieves gives you a new ship every time yours sinks. There nothing wrong with me having to sleep on my boat and keep gold in it to keep it safe 100% when I'm parked. Less lag, less effort, more friendly to solos and small groups. Your welcome.
-
1 pointTotally agree with @Kummba. What is up with map bottles? Maps are a primary way to get gold and getting 4 out of 5 empty bottles makes me feel like a geriatric beach comber looking at every piece of trash floating in the ocean for something good. Please please fix this. Thank you!
-
1 pointIβve only just started playing this game I played ark for a long time so Iβm used to the grind but the Ship prices are ridiculous it would Take me till this time next year to get gallon and then I would be Reluctant to take it into a fight in case I lost it love the game but too much grind not enough fun
-
1 pointAnd no fix for the markets, it is painfully slow to get the gold for ships. I could really live with them not generating the money, but with 80% of bottles poofing, not yielding maps, getting gold is a shitshow Somehow i think the fixes to market were only on the patchnotes, i wonder if they will ever work in this wipe. How they passed QA in the first place?
-
1 pointThe armoured ship dock, aside from causing massive lag, is gonna be a red rag to a raging bull. ie a good challenge for a large company of bored griefers. Talk about over engineering a solution without eradicating the problem. you could provide offline storage, so that the ships aren't in the game. Yeh harder to execute admittedly, but at least it would be a permanent solution to lag and offline raiding. All you've done is give the small group less hope, and the larger company more of a reason to attack. Maybe instead of gaming devs you could employ someone who understands human nature, cos you clearly don't .
-
0 pointsWhy would i even bother to do that? I read many times that the server is in Germany, and I cbf to tracert when the devs cbf to dev a game ;)
-
0 pointsYes all of the servers are in Europe, were in Germany, so why do you say the na servers are in LA in USA? You have been laggy all the time, it appears. Do you not understand? I'm saying that the servers have always been in Europe. Are you in the USA? Why can you not speak english?

0 pointsSo dare I ask what else you are going to take the XP from? How about those of us that play PvE and don't want to jump through hoops to level up? You keep taking and taking things and the only things that seem to get added are things for PvP. Could you somehow adjust things like this for just the PvP and leave some of the XP for things such as the Kraken, Powerstones, Yeti and now the XP from doing maps and killing the Army of the damned.... maybe just cut the amount rewarded from doing these things in half not cut the XP completely? Could you please have some consideration for nonofficial servers... especially non official PvE servers and their communities? Like could you update the DEVKIT so that the server owners can do things that make things nice and fun for their members? I love Atlas... have over 1800 hours in and hate seeing some of the changes the devs had made lately. You should really take a look at how many people are playing for the PvE aspects and don't play PvP and give some attention and work on things for PvE too. I closed out Steam completely and restarted Steam and the download for the update started automatically because I have auto updates on. Hope that helps.
