    So your clan gets disbanded and all players (160) are suspended, indefinatelty for alleged exploits. We get no explanation of why. Who did what ? You are tarnished and cannot play the game you have so much time in and fun with a great bunch of folks. No explanation of how long the suspension is. You raise a ticket, it auto closes with "solved" upon submit. Then if you post on a forum your post gets locked with a use the ticket system. Lots of folks will laugh, with a mouth full of piss and vinegar ha ha you cheated you got what you deserved. No, I didn't, maybe someone in the 160 did (across four clans), but I don't know who or what they did. No Justice. Bad Customer Service. Provide an explanation. Thats 160 people who paid to participate in EA that you kicked without explanation. Even if one (or more) broke the rules, you should say what they did so a) people know and can accept / argue their ban and b) of perhaps more improtance, others can know what NOT to do !!

    The game is horrible right now, if you are not 20 people or more in your company. Problems: There is no way to keep your stuff safe when offline as a small group, because you can not take an island and hold it. Lawless is a horrible place to live and you can not really hide because the servers are connected to your steam id and show it when entering a server! Freeport is broken and your ship will decay really fast as a new player. Large company's are keeping all there valuable stuff safe there and you can not touch it. Game balance is a nightmare right now! Solutions: Remake the Freeport and lawless system. Make pvp possible everywhere but add npc navy to protect people in Freeport and lawless. Add a security status to players and npc. Create npc governor settlements on lawless where you can build good relations and safe log your ship and items for a daily gold upkeep. Freeport should be a place where you can not build and only go there to turn in starter quest. When you are lvl 9 and above you can no longer enter freeport. [Player islands] Player owned islands need to be limited to two island per company no matter the size. Company's need to be limited by having a tax for company size. If a company goes over 30 people the tax in gold cost for having the company needs to rise in cost exponentially. Likewise having more then two allies also needs to have an upkeep cost. (You can call it an administrative empire cost that is payed to the npc regions.) [Sea pvp combat] When we talk about pvp on the open sea, then there are some problems regarding server traveling and balance. Your ship should have a 5 min cool down if damaged by another player or ship that prevents server traveling. If you manage to not get hit for 5 min then you should be able to flee to another server. This will stop people from abusing the server border to escape after going in to deep of griefing. There is also the problem of ship sinking being way to slow and losing planks is happening way to fast. This need to be adjusted so that the leaking of your planks starts way sooner but it takes a lot more to plank a ship. If you get planked you will sink really fast no matter what skills you have as a captain. If you have a leak you will not sink as fat but still fast enough that you have to repair the ship with in a few minuts or you will sink. [Ship weight & build] Ship balance is also a big problem in the game. (I will not talk about barrels right now, it sounds like they will be removed form the cannon soon) Ships need to have more leeway when it comes to weight and speed. We want to be able to actually build stuff on our ships and still be able to be part of pvp. Change structures to weight almost nothing and sort the way armored ships work by sorting the building limitations on the ship models. Make the speed curve start at 35%, where ship weight under 35% will not impact speed. Change the sails to have the same max speed and add different advantages for the sails then speed(Acceleration should not impact max speed!). Then Either build on the current sail system or introduce a full sail rig system that you place with one click on your ship. [Blueprints] The blueprints are to insane right now and they are way to hard to get. The hardcore factor of the blueprint system is a big turn off for most of the people playing this game. This should in my opinion be adjusted for the new season! You need to think of the blueprinted stuff as a slight advantage form a common ship. For instance a really sick mythical blueprint should be a max bonus of 160%, so you have a 10% rise in every blueprint type. common, fine, journeyman, masterwork, legendary and mythical. This will make the gap lass insane and a common ship will still be able to be part of the fight. You will also not run in to players hips that just are impossible to beat. [Why am i writing all this] I am trying to help the game be more open to new people and make it a more fun experience for everyone. This should send the game in a better direction and make it a more fun experience. I was one of the people who suggested the combat time for player owned island in season 1. If you look at my old post you might be able to find it. This change helped the game gain a lot more favor form people who game and also have work in real life(A lot of your costumers are in that segment and will also be on release day!) This system for player owned islands gave you a way of stabilizing the player owned world and has given us a lot of good security but still having a healthy amount of pvp. Now this could still be adjusted and improved but that is for another post. However, once again i am imploring you to read the suggestions and understand that this is not only my opinion but the wast opinion of you casual community. We are a large group of people who want to play the game but we can not play it at the moment because of how broken and unbalanced the mechanics are. Best Regard Jack Shepard

    That's a really big IF. There really hasnt been anything substantial added to the game since single player was added to pander to that crowd. Theyre sidetracked with console and potentially other projects, the core game is constantly sidelined by B.S. The whole game is a patchwork of random things made to look like a game. It's completely soulless. There isnt any reason for any of the things, like why subs, torpedoes, etc are gated behind bossfights, all the additional stat/progression boosts are gated behind trivial mundane tasks. Ships have minimal customization, your whole existence in the game revolves around land, animals for farming and bases. Having and sailing ships and hoping you encounter other players is just a perk at this point. Ships have no value for a decent company, most with bears and elephants, rhinos can farm out the resources to create numerous ships every single day. A ship lost is just meh, I'll have another on efully built and kitted out in 30min. This game needs to take a note from EVE Online, have a core region, core faction where there is a sense of "safety" where the carebears can carebear it up, have bounties, trading, contact missions, etc. And the further away you get from that region, the more lawless it gets, the resources arent as scarce, you have rarer resources that actually have specific uses that make them worth fighting for if it is controlled. That would give people who want to war and PVP incentive to have and control resources for personal use and trade, it would give an actual avenue for casual players to exist in a PVP world without too much care for getting sunk, but still the possibility of it, and give incentives for activities beyond just farming resources and SODS where you can actually spend substantial amounts of time on the water actually doing something worthwhile gain. That takes work and planning and isnt feasible for this group of Devs if they cant just CTRL+V features.

    here's a few ideas for the Free port! Traders/markets! a small area with tents and traders that will have a Ever changing list of items to buy! from Loot , Bps , Resources , armor , weapons etc! Bars/taverns: a Place to buy tons of beer, ale and wine! and some food that is not great but its better then nothing! Music is in the Air with some People with instruments. and games being played like Cards, poker , Blackjack! , Darts! and all other fun Pirate games (some can get you into a Fight though) and rarely in the bar you can find a Rare taskmaker , Trader or a NPC to have for hire! Recruiter: same but with a few qualities. Untrained: they can only uses melee weapons and do basic task, like Work on your farms , Cannons, Work as Miners etc! only cost 5 coins, or AOTD ships! then trained: these people can work with everything from guns , crossbows , torpedos , level up faster, stronger and are more valued! however they cost more to have and to buy them you need 50 coins, or get them from destroying AOTD ships! Taskmaker: Can Buy Quest from bounties, Trading Runs , Hunt the beast! , destroy ship! , Recover item/loot, Treasure chest , Destroy a pirate or AOTD camp!! some quest cost more then others but they will pay you with more gold and items! Mages: the people who work with the the Dark arts of magic! they work kinda like a Taskmaker but the quest are different! like Rover special item like Tiger claws , mythos , Squid Ink! etc, Bring back Skull of warlocks from AOTD, Bring Cursed Books or items, Bring back power stones! and they will Bless you with Special effects , gold or loot! Arena makers: Send you into a Arena where you can choose either fight with your items or fight with items given! and you have to fight stuff like pirates and animals for money and glory!

    I'm not bothered either way on factions but it would be more realistic for pyrates to be robbing someone other than more pyrates. I mean you could have for instance, Pyrate, then trade ie east indiaman company, and royal navy, each with different ships and buffs. And a personal use peace flag would be good too, for parley situations.

    i like that idea and maybe if you set a Tax bank you can give npc jobs! also i think that when they are near a job say " cannon , wheel and sail" a wheel will appear so you can select it! like lumberjack , minner , blacksmith , forger , wever , Hunter , farmer , Craftsman , Guard , fisherman , water worker , chef , salesman , Doc , executioner and repair man! and on Ships you have repairman , blacksmith , forger , kinde , wever , craftsman , fisherman , chef , doc , gunner , sailor and captain

    Factions - Make 4-8 factions (e.g. swashbucklers, corsairs, imperials) and make a small cluster of zones for each faction as starter zones and safe areas. Everything else is lawless, golden age ruins, etc PvP faction objectives, add garrison control points in Lawless and the faction that controls them get specialized quests from outposts (like obtain a cyclops eye or hydra blood) and can access specialized vendors there (for cosmetics) Rewards or at least some reason for PvP. Kill so many players of the Swashbuckler factions Combining PvP and PvE systems into the same game. This can be done by making factions! Freeports - This is where you can turn in quests from the special quests obtained from the control point garrisons above Centralized vendor systems - an auctioneer type system like WoW. Animals pens you can purchase bred animals from Quality of Life- Being able to move great quantities of resources from one container to another container without popcorning Fast travel - once you've been to a Freeport you can charter a guide to let you fast travel between them. Make Freeports every 15 zone square or so. That way you still have to sail but can save a crap ton of time.

    i think currents and trade-winds should be top priority. for me. delete 90% of tames and use those resources to make more ships / real npc ships (not the silly ghost ship things)

    I hope they change this so that we can fully use the abandoned tames we claim. If they don't want us to use the cargo saddle from previous owner, maybe it could auto decay upon someone claiming the animal. Either that or let us claim the cargo saddle and storage box also. It is a bit annoying not to be able to use the tame fully when we are lucky enough to find one.
