    I know you see the complaints, you hear the issues... I know you are in the game and checking on things. I know you see the carnage of barrel bombs, I know you see the farm houses are not working, the SOTD are broke, submarines are glitching when you drop them and pick them back up, sunken ship frames are stuck in the water... I understand this is prerelease and I need to expect issues, but at least let us know you hear us, you see the issues, you are working on something... Anything? You have a patient community, but we need to hear something from you.

    I figured I would put this here instead of the Discord since it seems the dev's have gone silent in there for reasons. Reasons this game is broken right now: No updates from dev's in over a week about an explosive topic. This is a really bad look for any gaming company. Barrel Bombs are OP as fuck. There is no way to defend from them right now without spamming pillars completely everywhere. They are the new land/sea meta in a game that was by the developers own admission needing better ship pvp. Barrels fired from a boat will instantly deplank anything below a galleon from a single barrel. If you salvo barrels, its bye bye ship. Not to mention they clear a deck completely if fired from height. There's almost no ship battles happening any more due to this. Barrels on land make honeycombing completely useless. With the amount of splash damage that barrels have walls don't even really matter anymore. I'm not quite sure what the theory is behind an explosive surrounded by wood being shot safely out of a cannon by an explosive is. Either the cost per barrel needs to be increased exponentially, the weight, or the reload time needs to be increased 10 fold. They shouldn't be able to be carried at all. If they are, they should have a placement timer. IE, 5 seconds to set it down and set the fuse. This will hopefully stop/slow suicide runners. Barrels that are "thrown" on land should be destroyable the same way as a "placed" barrel. Either by melee or defusing. Right now if a barrel is thrown by hand or from a catapult and it hits land/water it is not defuseable/destroyable. Warehouses are pretty much useless. You can only place 1 effectively on an island. Doesn't matter what company. So the first person to put one down wins. They don't collect wood at all. Their gather rates are incredibly slow. They have very little gather range even though their placement range is HUGE. SOTD's are broken. They spawn frozen in place, with bright red flags and don't move and take little damage. You can sail right through them. They don't drop loot/give XP and block spawns for real SOTD's. Cannon mounts are able to get into a submarine and shoot from inside a submarine. You can also throw grenades from inside a submarine as well. The reason the community is upset is because this was an unneeded change. Barrels were introduced in Season 1 and everyone thought they were terrible then too. Barrels just need to be removed from the game until they find a proper place. What they are now is not it. Test Server... what happened to this? There have been test servers for previous seasons. This needs to be a thing that is done for any kind of major game-play mechanic change such as barrels. This completely changed the way the game was played, and it would have been more useful to find this out in a test environment before putting it on the live servers. You would have saved your community a lot of grief, and a lot of players would likely still be playing right now. The BIGGEST issue right now is the clear lack of communication from the developers. This happened the last 3 seasons. It's why people left this game in droves. And it's already happening again less than 2 months into the season.

    Was it crewed? Can't you still give commands to crew while on the ship without having to access the wheel?

    Even breeder move/sail sometimes, you proved it It was addressed in discord, nothing else to do then to wait for a patch. Most stuff they die, leaves a hull behind.

    It’s called lack of compassion, commitment, caring, giving a crap about anything except “fill in the blank”. I hope this problem is so.ooo difficult to repair that it’s the reason for a no fix for so long. I’m tired of being the beta testers for a EA that should have been fixed and released a year ago. So we have a pirate game that they say they want us to spend more time sailing only to have the sailing part of it screwed up. Come on!! And.....what happened to talk about the end game when the warehouses came out. Beam me up Scotty, there are no dev’s here.

    Yo let me know what server you play on , have a small comp of three players levels around 30 Looking for a alliance as well as would want cannons so we wouldn't shoot your ships

    Oh. You must be the New Guy. Welcome. Every time we Had lag-free Servers they reduced the Server-capacity Further down so it was laggy again. What makes you think, that they would Stop doing that before everyone has a shitty 4x4 with a bed and ressbox inside and it's still lagging? Yeah, you are definitely New to this Game.

    This is really simple, most of the player know the game better than the dev. They probably hire a new team of pve player. Just need to look at their vision and everything come clear to me. They are speaking about ship only so they probably don't like land combat, they are speaking about rework Hydra/dragon boss for making them easier/more fun to kill but not about the utilization of the drake token, they are making building for farming etc for more decoration content/less farming and tryharding. Their first QOL change was the +50% damage from torpedo x) They have give back the possibility to make maps with swivel They have reduced gold upkeep like everything is normal to pay 50 gold every 12 hours for an medium island. Now they probably have think, for balance spam construction they will give barrel for destroying a lot of structure in the same time but probably didn't test to throw barrel with ship on other ship. The problem with most of dev(any game), they have their own vision and most of the time don't follow feedback, because they think, their vision is the good way to the future of their game.

    In the announcement it says it won't collect those from farmhouses because the farmhouses use wood and thatch for fuel. Honestly its a pointless building and would have been better to put limits on farmhouse numbers while increasing their radius and capacity instead.

    Hello! Back to the real issue: The Farmhouse and the upcoming Warehouse are the best new developments in a long time! Questions about the Warehouse: How many warehouses do you need? One Warehouse for every Farmhouse? Or is one Warehouse enough for all your farmhouses? Thanks and best regards!

    You CAN play this game solo. FInd a nitch somewhere - be it a settler, in lawless, on an unclaimed island... Talk to people. Most big tribes are helpful. Sail into an area, see who has it claimed and talk to them. If you tell them you are just starting out and want to know if you can be a settler you might make a friend or two. Being a settler means there are only 9 hours a day people can attack you. Find an island that fits your play time the best. Most griefers won't touch large company islands because they are afraid of blow-back. You can also hide in lawless for a LONG time if you keep your footprint small and use freeport to park your ship. That is what I did until I could get established. I got raided once and lost nearly a full brig of parts, learned some lessons, changed my approach. Grew, expanded, had fun! Sure there are people that grief, but that is part of the game. We swim in waters with sharks because it is exciting. Don't give up. The game is a lot of fun. It might get boring after 2000 hours but that is a LOT of fun that you can have until then. I am around 500 hours myself as a novice player and still having a blast. Don't expect to just plop down a building in L9 and find it standing tomorrow. Enter the game. Become part of the community. There is a lot of fun to be had.
