The whole point about mortars to have stronger defenses and let the folks sail more for pvp. Pvp for profit= sea combat Grudge, high effort raiding, with negative profit= base sieges I'm with the idea of bases being raidable, but only with more effort than it worth. So +1 for the npc mortar vote. -1 for the remove base idea (that's Sea of Thieves for you). However i would like to have a kind of rentable shipyard in freeports, for gold, banking for gold, and docking for gold. So one could turn their gold into rentable stuffs instead of settleing, as an alternative thing, while living only for sailing and gathering gold to upkeep themselves

^^^this i agree with 100%. lets be real nobody has time to sail for 2-4 hours across map. we get the fact that you want people to be out on the water. but this is painful and just not really enjoyable to have to sit and stare at your monitor and do absolutely nothing but watch how much the wind sucks. everyone still has to go to golden age anyways to farm bps and such that is where 90% of all ship pvp comes into play. i also agree with the salvaging of a ship. if you sink an enemy mythic ship there should be some reward to it other then bragging rights, let us pull the planks after sunk, or at least bare min. get back a % of all rare resource that was put into it i guess...either way id really like to see the fast travel method and feel like that would increase the popularity of the game with just that mechanic alone.

The only thing that was garbage was your answer. It wasn't thought out. It was an emotional answer, like that of a toddlers, because you snowflakes are throwing a temper tantrum that your offline PvO is being removed. Star Citizen is, and always was going to be about ships. The Crowd Funding record was 10.3 million dollars, for the Apple Watch. Star Citizen smashed that at over 200 million. In that game, your ships will despawn when you leave the game. In that game, when you go to a port, and land on a pad, the ship despawns. Nobody can offline it. It's about ships, not bases, and yet far far more people play that, and far more people have bought into it. So just because you didn't like the idea, doesn't make it garbage. If you want to debate points, fine. I am all about that, and agree that no one person has all the answers. It's through the debating of ideas point by point that we learn which are viable, and which are not. If you don't have the patience to do that, stop posting.
