I've beta-tested Atlas for over a year now, and while I fully understand that it's an early access game I don't see it as being in a particularly fit state to play with game-breaking bugs! I have sunk 740 hours into Atlas and it has been a mixture of fun and frustration, but most recently it has become really frustrating and the game feels completely pointless to me now. Sure I can live with the alpha lions that spawn in with the sole intent of killing off my lovingly raised tames, that's just the ARK effect. But when the game itself in its current state conspires to ruin your day I no longer find the grind to tame or build ships worthwhile or fun when they can be instantly taken way for no reason (or a bug). Recently I sunk several hours taming creatures only to have the game simply take them away while sailing between sectors (I went back and forth trying to find out where they went but couldn't find them) they simply disappeared from the decks along with all the resources in them that I'd spent ages sailing several sectors to gather. Last night I finished building a small warship to a specific (FireSpark) design using blueprinted items, from the multiple types of resources I'd gathered after hours of sailing the Atlas. I painted up my ship, proud of my finished project, stuck on a couple of cannons and sailed for a freeport to hire some crew. Well on my way home the game decided to just sink my ship, in the middle of open water far away from land - it hit something invisible and took catastrophic damage from nothing (no it wasn't even a whale). I looked all around underneath and couldn't see what was damaging my ship. I attempted to repair my ship and replace planks but there weren't any missing although it was sinking and my all my hours of hard work went down to Davy Jones locker for absolutely no reason. So I spent the next hour sailing (another ship) to recover the crew, a tame and all my personal affects (which also instantly disappeared as soon as I collected them). Now I wouldn't mind so much if it was sunk by a fleet of over-powered Ships of the Damned like what happened to the warship before it - I went down fighting - although I couldn't replace the planks on that either when it was sinking! But to simply lose all my hard work and even my items for no reason is the final nail in the coffin for me and Atlas. I didn't want to just quit the game and say nothing because in it's beta-state the devs really need to hear my feedback, so here it is. I will be leaving a revised review on Steam. If the devs or customer service reps wish to discuss more about my experiences with Atlas further then I'm happy to talk to them about it. I would have loved to carry on loving this game but I can't as it's broken my heart one too many times. TBH it's become too much of a broken game with too many game-breaking bugs to waste any more of my life playing.

Atlas is in alpha state... not beta. They are still adding/fixing things. They can at any time wipe the entire game. ALPHA is meant for testing and fixing. You should look into games that are beta or beyond if you want to keep things.

Last round someone told me a golden Rule: Pillar, 2 ceilings, Next pillar. This Round i've built 6 Huge Breeding-Bases for ~600 Bears and have not lost a single structure following this Rule. But If you forget one pillar, everything thats connected to that can Crash, No matter how far away it is. So better tripple-check your Foundations/Pillars.

@hurricane moon Great to hear that mate! Now we are 3 or 4 small crews interested so that is great! I will think that we have to announce it a bit in advance so that people can plan on going, and so we can gather as many people as possible. I am thinking a couple of weeks from now, probably. I will inv you to our discord so u can see when i put out message to "everyone" in our discord, that way u can keep track of when we will try to go. Just let me know if there is any time or day that does not suit u. Might not be possible to find day/time when everyone can go, but, I will try to go when most people can go. Cheers! https://discord.gg/ukhYck

"," is evil, if you miss. Dont have barn nearby There are many bugged map locations in the game, it is again a valid complain. And as you can take the berries out of the silo, and they stack in one stack. How imbalanced would it be to make a huge stack of meat.

lol Ok, Raise your hand if you actually own an island. Do you think I would be here if any of that silly monitoring business actually worked? I really don't expect or need sympathy, but to be clear, we monitor our island twice a day. We immediately respond to any notification. The system works like this: You have a flag with 1 settler. You get a notification of someone becoming a settler despite notification, messages, and signs everywhere that no building of any kind is allowed until we finish construction. You go to the coordinates and destroy a DP bed. You check the flag and it says all clear. However, there is another 2 beds hidden in a crevice somewhere that neither the flag nor the notifications told you about, only found days later on another daily clean. We even found one literally above one of our base builds within range of our own foundation. How can this even happen? We have built free taming pens, we have been nice and helped with maps. The only problem we have is with folks that feel entitled to pollute our island and contribute nothing to the upkeep while making swiss cheese holes in our island and delaying construction for weeks from people that actually farm their butts off to support the upkeep and want to build their bases. Actually settlers. If the monitoring system actually worked, I would not be here ranting about randoms grieving and lazy bed spammers getting Discovery Points for them and all their friends, which you do not need to build to get to anywhere on our island. As for the raised eyebrows about my play hours, I make videos, this is both work and play. But thanks for asking. EDIT: AT the end of the day, my opinion, nor yours matters. I will continue to fight the bed spam and you will continue to fight for it. I say that Lawless is for this kind of thing, not company-owned islands that do not want spam everywhere.

Maybe I only have 2,650 hours on ATLAS and 7,197 hours on ARK, but I can tell you one thing ... Never say never. One thing the devs don't like are folks using something to exploit the system. Beds are made for save points, not to bed hop and get DP. You are supposed to sail and discover. You know it and I know it. When enough people complain, they will nerf the beds to only go on your on boat or base. And if you don't like the rules the owners have, then go to Lawless. End of story.
