u mad bro? This game is most definitely not about piracy and sailing, it's about carebearing it up, turtling it out on islands, abusing freeports to stash your goods, breeding bears for your cannons, grinding away at SODs to get those SWEET FUCKING PERCENTAGES on your BPs, farming tons of mats to fund your land war. Sailing is unfortunately the only means of transportation, and is dreadfully boring. Transporting tens of thousands of mats? Biggest concern? Fucking tornadoes. Fighting SODS? Biggest concern? Fucking tornadoes.... Chasing player ships? Biggest concern? Those motherfucking Tornadoes. Looting any ship? Biggest concern? EVERY FUCKING SHARK. Fighting players? Biggest concern? Man I gotta go through them tornadoes to get to their turtle base so I can drop all these bears and crabs.... I lied, the game is about tornadoes.

Okay, you guys really need to get a professional writer to do this stuff. Next time give us some good news about the patch, then the bad news and close out with good news. Extended 2x harvesting and xp isn't really good news when it's already a common thing to get. I know you have to be smart about revealing upcoming patch info since it's not set in stone what's actually going to make it into the patch until its practically time to release. Gotta manage expectations and all. But please try to give us more good news than bad.

----------Can we get the ability to set specific rules for Folders on our Characters, as Well as our Tames, and Storage Boxes? This would help in so many ways. On a game that takes hours upon hours to do proper upkeep. This would save a bit of tedious actions that no one enjoys doing. Keep the fun stuff and faze out the tedious so that the player base remains large please! (Example: When I create a Folder, I can check off which type of item I want to go automatically into this folder) Food Thatch Metal Fiber Stone Keta Hide Mythos Clothing Weapons Ammo And so on, so forth. -------Please also increase the berry stacks to 500 or 1000!

It'd be great to see who is removing and depositing gold in the company log!

so why improve something and make it more appealing if you can just tell people take it or leave it? thats the most conformist and mediocre attitude i have seen in quite a while sorry but...who are you?

    - why tho? this is a game forum i am not writting an essay, not worth the effort, also i am not native english speaker so you will have to bear with my typos. - that is you opinion, and that is his opinion, what makes you think that you can voice your opinion but he cant? - i wouldnt care if there was no breeding at all, yet i dont mind if there is either, thats the difference detween being open minded and being a totalitarian - you are rather confused i am not acussing you of anything, i am suggesting you to be more open minded.

I was thinking how there is no time for a break in Atlas: no time off can be had without losing everything. Islands need gold maintenance. Ships at Freeport need repairs. Leaving ships on your shoreline during Combat Phase results in them sinking. The game is constantly grinding against you and if you leave for a few days, your work is gone. I understand the need for some of these mechanics, however it would be nice to be able to focus on ship combat and not have to maintain a massive infrastructure of islands if you don't want to. Running a single ship with your crew every day should be an option - with again, the ability to take a day off. I propose a Pirate Freeport, where instead of decay on your ship, your ship costs more gold the longer it is anchored there. If your ship runs out of gold, your NPC crew quickly mutinies, and after ~48 hours of not enough gold on the ship, then the decay sets in. This would allow people to stock up on gold on their ship and go on vacation, or take a break from the game for a couple days (provided they don't have other in-game obligations like islands). The cost could be increased the longer you remain parked, so eventually if people neglect to log on, they would lose their ship, but at least they'd have some known period where they could take a break. As the cost should increase over time, it wouldn't be efficient to park a ship there as an overweighted "freeport shack". In addition, the increasing gold cost would prevent people from storing dozens of ships in this Pirate Freeport - better to park those Freeport Fleets in decay areas where repair materials are available right on the nearby island. Thematically, your NPC crew is spending a lot of gold in town the longer you sit around in port. But whatever. This kind of thing would probably work as a standard mechanic for every single freeport, solving a lot of the issues revolving around people living out of freeport. People would have to leave to get gold or to reset their ship's increasing gold cost in zone if they wanted to 'live' there, disincentivizing that kind of behavior. It's something that might work for every freeport, and since new player rafts and ramshackles would have no gold and thus begin decaying right away, it doesn't affect those too much either. Overall I think an idea like this would allow people to run a ship or two and focus on the ship gameplay over land so much. Thanks for reading!

Greetings! I am Chef Pennelope Blue-Eyes of the Gryphon Guard and I have to say I am sorely disappointed that I am unable to wear appropriate attire while I craft my masterpieces in the kitchen. What is a great chef without her hat, apron, and gloves to protect her from kitchen nightmares? Seriously, though. I would love it if there were at least a "Chef's Hat" and/or "Chef's Apron" armor skin added to the game. And maybe a "Straw Hat" and some "Overalls" since I grow my own crops for cooking. Game is great, but its the little things that keep me going.

PVE players always come here and talk about the toxic community being cry babies. Meanwhile they sit in their RP castles raising baby bears and playing the drums. 2x weekend boosts are really running thin. This is NOT substitute for additional content, fixing BASIC gameplay mechanics, resolving performance issues, and COMMUNICATING WITH THE COMMUNITY. I mean jesus . . . even this update was half assed: we have some new things we are working on. . . kind of the same has some prior updates . . . we'll get to it next week and maybe get you a changelog once we decide what xmas changes we are going to revert and call it "retooled".

Simpler format than my usual threads. Just QOL issues and fixes that I think would be best. PvP: PvP in general, sucks right now. Massive powerblocs prevent newer and lower level players from progressing. The need to be part of a group should be diminished in some way. Making war declarations against a company, not an island would fix this issue. This should also coincide with reducing war window timers to 4-6 hours instead of 9. This will allow small groups to plan around a more easily managed war window, and allow warring groups too attack anywhere they need. Likewise, Lawless should behave like owned land and have a 1-2 hour raid window every 3-4 hours. This allows casual players and solo players a realistic chance at piracy activities. This could be a stepping stone to.... faaaactioooons ((pls pls)) Secondly, current harbor building techniques are thermonuclear UNFUN. Locked channels that take hours to get in and out of? Might as well not sail, just gonna play Ark at that rate. Encourage raids that target loot, not full destruction. Nerf stone structures placed under water. PvE: PvE is in a pretty decent spot; but has the draw back of over population. Adding more islands would be swell! In addition more perks for island owners. Perhaps allowing territory claims on top of island claims to extend a players timer and give a controlled building area; preventing griefing in all forms. Treasure Maps: So many treasure map sites are broken. Suggestion: Manually delete all map spawns that do not occur on flat land or beaches. Almost all sites on top of rocks are incompletable: Remove them? Sunken Treasure: Too numerous and often not worth the effort. Reduce overall spawn-rate and increase quality. Ships of the Dammed: Rarely ever worth the effort. Especially for PvE players. Increase drop quality. Tames: Tames could be made less of a focus by buffing them instead of nerfing them. Using the same method used for cryopods in Ark; players could "Familiarize" a number of tames of each species. (Eg: 2 Female Bears, 2 Male Bears) as a summon spell. This can (And should) be coupled with the ability to resurrect familiarized tames. By allowing players to summon/dismiss animals and preserve favorites breeding and taming will not be a critical focus on many companies. This will also open the window to to allowing tames to be sold from a vendor. Tames should function more like MMO battle pets and not like farm equipment. While, yes you could ride, farm, and swipe to kill with your bear: sending him in to taunt while you shoot the badies with your carbine should be better. Battle tame of choice should complement the playstyle of the player both with buffs and mechanics. As an example, snipers would want a lion or bear. Swordsmen would want a parrot or vulture. Sea-Witches would benefit from a cat. Remove many of the dinosaur like features from Razortooths and Shieldhorns. For Razortooths, using a more Spino-like stance to resemble a Protodragon, give a right click breath attack. For shield-horns, make their skin leathery instead of scaled. Change leatherwing model to that of a bat, bird, or winged crocodile. Add a "Meat Chow" and "Veggie Slop" recipe to the cooking table that has a long shelf life and high nutrient density for feeding tames; similar to kibble but only for feeding. Baby Animals should not need hand fed. Instead, they should be required to stick near the mother who will eat the extra food in place of the baby. As a counter to the now AFK mechanic, the amount of food consumed should be vastly increased. This will significantly reduce the focus on the tames them selves and allow breeders do other things in game. Powerstones: Too many earth golems, make caves slightly less populated. Get rid of the meatballs of baddies in buildings that jump out all at once. Increase gold payout from AoD. Get rid of using ships too kill bosses. Keys should not be dropped on death, should instead go on your "keyring" or you receive a buff that persists through death to open the case. Around the home: Allow Ice-chests to act as preserving cabinets vastly increasing spoil times even when not filled. Allow ice chests to be irrigated thereby producing ice at night in the desert and temperate biomes. Allow Irrigation to grills, etc to be radiant, instead of requiring a direct connection. This is by far the easiest solution to placement problems. Implement a compost bin and allow a crewmember to be assigned to it, automatically picking up poop in an area similar to a trough. Crew: Crew should be much more dynamic, such as was demonstrated in the trailer. Adding piratey deployables like taverns and bars is a great first step Crew should be allowed far more jobs and function on land to allow players to focus on sailing and exploring. Ships: Sails: FIX SAILS lol. Weight sails: Make weight sails reduce the effect that cargo containers have on a ship's speed. Cargo Containers: Increase capacity beyond 16 units. Handling Sails: Change name to correctly display their function: Acceleration Sails. Speed Sails: Make them work by raising the top speed cap of a ship, so that they can be combined with acceleration sails.

If you do run a PvPvE type of server, don't fool yourself into thinking this will be a place where both PvP and PvE players can play. It is a server for PvP players. Many PvP players also like a safe place where their base will not be raided and where they can gather resources. Once ready they can move to or travel to the PvP area which is usually set for higher danger and rewards. Most PvE players do not want to play on a PvPvE server. They play on a PvE server to avoid the drama, the competition, the destruction made by PvP players. A server that is half PvE and half PvP is a server that a PvE player can only play on one half of. And even in the PvE section, they will have to see the drama and toxic behavior in chat and other places from the PvP players.

I’ll pretend that I understood something you typed. But that’s everyone’s own opinion. I can only speak for me and my friends and that is that we’re having an absolute blast.

so . . . you're going to make pvp even more unbalanced? a further reduction in nade damage? continue to ignore the same problems over and over?
