What about those devs claiming they work with players?

I don't know if this will help a majority but I would greatly appreciate an indicator of sorts(hyperlink) on the forum to latest post made by Devs or Service team. Just a helpful tool in my opinion so people may be able to see what issues are being worked, seen, addressed, or currently being worked on. Sadly this will also show how little the Devs team is on here canvasing issues and wanting to keep their community informed.

Cyclones Cyclones should not be spawned in, in groups of 4. There should only be one cyclone that is huge and moves in an unpredictable manner. The current cyclones do not add to the game and only take away from the fun of sailing in stormy weather because the game spawns 4 cyclones close to you and you can predict their movements because they'll 90% of the time come at your ship and try to stalk you. Heatwaves Heatwaves in Atlas don't make sense. There is no way to cool yourself down once you've been in a heat wave for a while, going in water in cloth clothing does not help and even eating ice does not help. It does not make sense Atlas devs, come on. Heatwaves belong in desert areas and tropical areas should only have them once in an game week, not every single morning. Cold Fronts Cold fronts should only happen in Tundra or Polar areas. Not in every different biome type. Cold fronts should consist of snow or an increase of cold wind. It doesn't make sense to have a cold front in the desert at the same time as a heat wave. Make your weather make sense Atlas devs because right now, it isn't adding anything positive to the game, only negatives. New Weather Types Only after you fix the current weather should you perhaps consider adding new weather and each weather should only effect certain areas. For example have a high wind storm without stormy weather in tropical/jungle biomes with a chance that a cyclone will happen on land and does small amount of damage to your structures. By small I mean really small because over time the damage will add up and those who are lazy will eventually have to repair and tend to their structures instead of leaving them for days without having to worry much about them. To go along side this allow NPCS to fix your structures and have a building resource box that you put resources in and this allows the NPCs to fix your buildings. It gives a new purpose to having NPCs on land as right now they are only really beneficial for ships.

Honestly, I started playing the game on day one. Recently I started watching a YouTube series by a fellow named Grillmastah who also started publishing videos on initial release, and the nostalgia is absolutely mind boggling. I'm amazed at how much new content, changes, bug fixes, and optimizations have happened in the last year! I tend to forget that the game isn't even 1 year old yet. Compared to where ARK was after the first year, ATLAS's update speeds and content additions/fixes have been lightning quick in comparison. I can afford them a little patience if they are neck deep in as big of a gameplay change as they were hinting at with the roadmap.

Shadowbane did it right. Make all owned islands fairly crap when it comes to resources, make lawless rich in resources, and have declarations of war for when you want to raid. Your own island will be crap but bases/green anchored ships unraidable (not players immune to damage like it is now), and you'll need to visit lawless to get good loot (lawless don't need to be right outside freeport either but it's not terrible). This will spur lots of movement and ship combat and transport, and will make those islands you want to take actual fights. Most of the land fighting will be done on the brutal ruleset of lawless as people try to secure good loot spawns for themselves, and when the pressure builds they will go to war with the group pestering their spot. Lower the cost on war declaration too, so it's frequent if necessary (after the 'cooldown period'), but also costly to the attacker. Beyond all that, the game has 1000 bugs and annoyances that should be fixed too. At least the game is in a great state and feels so much fun playing it again.

It's funny how you criticize people for picking the wrong game or playing safe in pve or sp when offline raiding is about as safe as you can get! Why cos you play pvp dyu think that makes you some kind of elite digital marine? I play pvp, a lot of us who play pve and sp do play pvp in games. But my ego isn't so fragile that I have to go round boasting about it. And as for you enjoying griefing people? How many legless spiders have you got in a tin?
