Cyclones Cyclones should not be spawned in, in groups of 4. There should only be one cyclone that is huge and moves in an unpredictable manner. The current cyclones do not add to the game and only take away from the fun of sailing in stormy weather because the game spawns 4 cyclones close to you and you can predict their movements because they'll 90% of the time come at your ship and try to stalk you. Heatwaves Heatwaves in Atlas don't make sense. There is no way to cool yourself down once you've been in a heat wave for a while, going in water in cloth clothing does not help and even eating ice does not help. It does not make sense Atlas devs, come on. Heatwaves belong in desert areas and tropical areas should only have them once in an game week, not every single morning. Cold Fronts Cold fronts should only happen in Tundra or Polar areas. Not in every different biome type. Cold fronts should consist of snow or an increase of cold wind. It doesn't make sense to have a cold front in the desert at the same time as a heat wave. Make your weather make sense Atlas devs because right now, it isn't adding anything positive to the game, only negatives. New Weather Types Only after you fix the current weather should you perhaps consider adding new weather and each weather should only effect certain areas. For example have a high wind storm without stormy weather in tropical/jungle biomes with a chance that a cyclone will happen on land and does small amount of damage to your structures. By small I mean really small because over time the damage will add up and those who are lazy will eventually have to repair and tend to their structures instead of leaving them for days without having to worry much about them. To go along side this allow NPCS to fix your structures and have a building resource box that you put resources in and this allows the NPCs to fix your buildings. It gives a new purpose to having NPCs on land as right now they are only really beneficial for ships.

As long as I back for a while, I decided to practice my English more reopen my feedback thread. We still in early access, right? So all bugs and issues we find - are good help for devs. If they still reads this forum. Anyway. 01 - My bear still don't wanna travel with me in my boat. Instead he just jump out and flies behind my vessel. It's weird. Anyway one of possible solution is in this message: Special boxes for ship insides. One for tames (little ships can carry just small ones), we put them there and all fine (we don't need even physically show them inside, make it just cage with custom tames animation). 02 - Temperature and rain/snow are not friends at all. I mean we've got absolutely weird situation in Tundra when it's -20'C (-4'F) and it's raining. It must be some horrible deadly icy needles rain right? But today I met +25"C (+77"F) with snowfall. Couldn't imagine what king of snow it might be, but... yeah, it was strange. What if there would be raining in tundra when it's above 0'C (32'F) and snowfall if it's below? 03 - When you set sails just alt-tab for a while, go youtube, and start this: Then go back and start your long sea journey. I guess that's THE experience we need in game, all this relaxing Jeremy Soule-like tunes : ))

I have to agree, this game is short on the rewards and heavy on the losses. I'm now only playing single player and if I do lose something to the game, I'll just use an admin command to restore it. No more playing on servers for me until this game gets out of Early Access. The game is just too hard core for my tastes. I also can set the rates so that making a brig is just an hour or two, not a two day grind. That feels about right to me. BTW, from what I've heard, the bug with the climbing picks has been fixed. The ship grounding should not cause a ship to sink in my opinion. I can see it doing some damage, letting some water in, but there should be a method to unground the ship and get it afloat again. There are just so many ways you can lose your ship, why should hitting the bottom also be one of them? Ships have hit the bottom since they were invented. Most times they just bounce off and take some damage, but can be repaired. They don't usually sink because of it.

jeh its EA but how stupid is it to port a unfinished EA game to xbox. so now they have two open construction on two platforms. ergo the same people are distributed on more work

They are a head ache if they sit outside your base and nobody moves them. Before the wipe I had 2 galleons blocking my base area, thought nothing of it at first thinking they won't be there long as they are galleons. A week went by and still there, never moved an inch. I read the patch notes at the time, think it said 14 days and they will be gone. Day 14 thinking I'm going to get my base area back, nope. It was closer to 4 weeks when they vanished for me, I don't think timers work correctly anyway, should be visible. You can't do anything with them I'm afraid other than wait it out. Smaller ships even sloops can be used to grief, once the anchor is green there is no moving it.

Nothing. They are supposed to disappear after two weeks of inactivity. Anecdotally it seems to be taking longer. If anyone boards it or interacts with it, it resets the timer. We have had a raft sitting on our beach that has been there since day one. Talked with one of the company members in Discord and he said "Yeah, I keep hopping on it to check decay and it is slowly going down." Had to send an @everyone to let them know, don't touch them, just let them sit there and they eventually go away. We had a ship get stuck under another members water house that was on pillars during a storm. Was totally stuck. Filed a ticket and a mod appeared the next day. Tried some mod magic, couldn't get it unstuck, so he scuttled it, gathered the materials, and put down a captains chest full of the resources and some storage lockers and informed the company that had gotten it stuck if they wanted their resources they needed to come get them. They never did. 10 days later the 3 foundations he had placed nearby decayed and we inherited some crap resources. If someone is obviously griefing you by parking boats inside your shipyards or trying to block access, screenshot and use the ticketing system to report it. Don't file tickets just because it messes with your harmony or is irritating as they will probably look at it and never respond. Any real issue though we have seen a 24-48 hour ticket response time the few times we have had to report something.

this is totally *******, we just spent the better part of 4 hours trying to clear a level 20 map, it cost us 1 elephant, 3 bears, 2 wolves, 4 people in plate with the 2 hander, and a lanky boy that I got stuck in a sign. Even with circling the spawn with signs to block them in and control them, even with clearing the pack a number of times, we just kep getting the bullshit message about there being x number left, or worse, I would go in to dig and the whole pack would just spawn in my face . Not being able to grenade, puckle, greap shot, or even shoot with a carbine this is simply stupid design, even with dodge to avoid the power swing, there are just too many of them you dodge one to get slapped by the other, and if you kite them out and takle them in more doable numbers you take to long and it respawns in your face. This needs addressed as soon as possible, cannons , grenades, balistas, all of these things should work its stupid they don't, if some players or groups of players are abusing it some where else to super level ships then block that action don't hurt the rest of us because of them.

Might add that "only" 10 More Level adds up to 40% more dmg or 80% resistance which is alot for PVE And even more on PvP

Bears like Honey and Honey doesn't spoil. Load the bears up with honey and as long as they are parked (and not being ridden or active), they'll slowly consume the honey. Should have plenty of time. Note: If you've already sorted this and are back from Vacation. This info may be useful for the next reader!

For the sake of fairness, and there is nothing to be fair about in all honesty I'll point out how the players have helped to create this issue in the first place, and how it could be easily fixed. It should be noted that the Devs will be called out as well, so no, their actions will not go unnoticed... First I'd like to repost a page from the Dev's site directly: Studio Wildcard was founded in 2014 with the mission of bringing AAA quality to ambitious indie productions designed for core gamers. With countless years of combined industry experience across multiple independent and studio-backed titles, Wildcard's core team has grown with offices in Kirkland, WA and Gainesville, FL including distributed team members across multiple continents. We're still looking for talented people to fill the following roles (apply by e-mailing your resume and / or portfolio to jobs@studiowildcard.com directly LOOKING FOR: CHARACTER TECHNICAL ARTIST TECHNICAL ARTIST VFX / TECH ARTIST UI/UX DESIGNER SENIOR GAMEPLAY DESIGNER SENIOR ENGINE PROGRAMMER SENIOR CHARACTER ARTIST PRODUCER GAMEPLAY PROGRAMMER ALSO INTERESTED IN: ENVIRONMENT ARTIST (PAGE WILL NOT GO BACK TO GREY SO I'LL CONTINUE POST HERE) To answer the question about the studio directly, yes they are understaffed, and YES they are looking for employees. My question is if there are so many people pissed about the games and their performance, then why has no one stepped up to the plate. Granted, all players cannot fulfill these roles, nor do they have the experience and skills to do so, but surely there must be someone capable of helping the team out. There are countless fan made mods on the steam forums, and these projects are amazing, as most would agree. So why, and I ask why is no one interested in taking a shot at this. I'm sure that the team would be able to also deal with scheduling and employment time availability, so why doesn't anyone just ask? To the bulk majority of you that have jobs or are not in the job market, then obviously this may not be possible for you, but out of the thousands of people that play this game, there should be a few responses. Now let's talk about the Devs. YES THEY DO NOT RESPOND A LOT! Just look at who they are hiring though, they are not interested in a lot of PR or Programming employees, that's just not part of their agenda. AND YES, it should be, but it's not. So we as a community have the option to boycott the product. After years and YEARS of disappointments from ARK, it was clear from the beginning what was going to happen with this game, we all knew, and yet we decided to buy it with the desire to try something new. AND XBOX PLAYERS, YOU MOST OF ALL KNEW WHAT YOU WERE GOING INTO, so don't put down some B.S. (I'm an xbox player FYI and I have been following the game since day 1, so I KNEW what I was going into). In the end, we all bought the game, we knew the risk, but we still bought it. So Yes, the Development team has issues, but they aren't worried a whole lot about these things, and we knew this from the start. So you all have the right to express your opinions and your frustration (I sure have), but know that you made a conscious decision to join this rag tag project SO HAPPY SAILING! - Also have a great Thanksgiving to all of you who are celebrating and take some time to stop farming and enjoy some good food

Mythical x6 materials^^ depending on the blueprint you get more dmg in a bow And higher durability. For shipyards You need high durability. If you get a shipyard to 226% durability it increases the max Level a ship can reach from 42 to 52

Good Luck Meeko, Be sure to ask weekly and keep asking and asking and asking for all the things you think make sense to be in this game. And next year let me know how fruitful your efforts have been!

The international standard for the presentation of latitude and longitude coordinates is Lat then Long, and has been since 1884. Further, numbers increase eastward of the meridian and southward of the equator. That's a lot of people who're already trained in reading maps and giving directions. Since this is a game that revolves around ocean navigation, perhaps we could have some of these real world sailing conventions in the game?
