There has to be a better way to get 14 grids without watching the water pass by for 2 hours. In the past you could watch tv or youtube while traveling. Now you risk your ship if you look away for 15 seconds. The SOD are nothing but a pain now. I don't even have cannons unlocked yet and yet I can't sail a grid without dealing with them. They render leaving you seconds to react if in your path. Now. the whales! What happened with the whale? Is it birthing season. Their numbers seem to have just exploded recently. You know what sucks. You spends a few hours farming mats for a brig and a whale renders right in your path. You are full speed heading to it, it's aggroed on you coming at you full speed, you can't turn fast enough so you hit head on and come to a full stop. Hours of farming lost in 20 seconds. Boy that's fun! We really need some form of fast travel with your ship and goods. Face it, it's not like we have some booming trade market that's going to be unbalanced. I'm sure some may like to roleplay the long day at sea but I'm guessing most don't want to spend their free time watching the sea pass by dodging SOD and whales. One downside I see about Atlas is that it is always making you spend time doing things you have no interest in doing, just to do the things you want to do. Like extended sea travel and low yield mat farming and now almost no xp for killing animals. We need something like the Eve's warp gates. At least getting us to the general area we are headed.

The FoY can be found in the cave on every single powerstone island. It's not like it used to be, where there was only one and you had to track it down.

Yes, it's a fresh character, no items, no company. Hope you didn't hit that delete character button they conveniently placed next to the respawn character button.

There is a fix for this and its very simple! You dont Belong here!! theres this cirtine kind of server called a Player Vs Enviroment Server or as we say PVE. you can live happy here im told theirs Unicorns!

you are playing the game wrong mate, lawless is exactly as the name implies, lawless, no protection, if people want to just randomly raid nobodys the 1st place they go is lawless. just go and settle on someone land and if you want to avoid tax go to a lawless grid to farm resources, also as a solo player be ready to take some shit, you are a easy target to begin with... if you think somone stealing ur ship over night is bad....boy you still have some dickery to experience lol.....

The lag that npcs cause for Xbox players is terrible. I'm on a fairly new one X and still have horrible frame rate around bases with defenses. Ark realized that too many defenses caused lag so don't you think its time to rethink base defense for atlas? We need turrets that fire without having to have an npc for every single one. We need organic defenses such as plant turrets and a way to store unused ships and animals. You are basically forcing players in larger tribes to destroy the game.

But there are new ships! Look in the mods section. If modders can make new ships there is no excuse except lack of caring or laziness from the Developers. Found the thread with one of the new ship designs.

I’d like tier 3 cargo saddles that allow you to build a small base up to a percentage of the weight your tame can carry. No weight reduction needed, like with the tier 2 cargo saddle, as the larger tier 3 tames can already carry a lot. Maybe a smaller 67-75% weight in the smaller tier 3 mounts. Depends on weight of structures that may be exploited, like multiple swivel guns, cannons or ballista. Smaller tier 3 mounts get a smaller platform to build on with their lower weight. These would replace the platform saddles from ARK, and you’d have to be careful because they can be damaged more easily.

Unfortunately, no new ships because that would require coding, and the wall types are still kinda crappy also. The corners on these stone walls are an eyesore. The official notification for "this Friday" is supposed to mean this Friday, I am guessing.

For some reason, there are still more wall type options than ship options. There are more tame options that ship options. There are more melee wep options than ship options. I would like to see a game focused around pirating and sailing rather than zookeepers and architects. For some reason that's what I thought this was when I got it a year ago.

I've always felt the devs would have to introduce some sort of faction system to straighten out the large clan/small clan/solo power separation that exists. Havn't played for a while, but, it was always the mega clans rolling over the smaller clans and there wasn't a damn thing they could do about it. Or Small clan/solo messing with the wrong smaller clan and they call in their multi clan alliance to wipe you. It's just not sustainable and the join or die logic opens up a new kind of suck for smaller groups and solos. As has taken place since release, the small clans/solos will diminish and it will be 2-3 large alliances that have to sail for many hours to get a fight. I could go on, but, the power gap was pretty much why I quit playing. Sailing was a lost cause to due to enemy ships having planks, sails and cannons being so over powered one good volley or harpoon and that was all she wrote .... another fresh built ship at the bottom of the sea. Land game was pretty much the same thing. Blueprinted gear at max levels with Health at 600+ is really rough for a solo/small clan to deal with. Unless you have 20 guys out farming SotD and Maps you just don't have a chance. Smart play only goes so far. I know ...... boo hoo, it's an MMO. If this isn't how the devs intended the game to be played it wouldn't be this way. To show some love to the solos I thought a bounty hunter class (for lack of a better word) would have been cool. As bounty hunters were historically loner solo types they would be factionless and allianceless. Red to everyone if you will. Perhaps some bonus attributes, weapons and/or building benefits to make it interesting. You know just a solo option.

Ahoy Pathfinders! ccc is a console command which takes your current in game coordinates and server grid then formats that into a cheat command used by Grapeshot employees to teleport to your exact location. It's useful when reporting map issues, or passing on specific information about your location to the team. To use the command, please do the following: - Open your console with the ` key (you can find it located next to 1 or above TAB) - Type in: ccc - Hit Enter Demonstration of the command typed into the console. The game will automatically copy the coordinates to your clipboard, just hit ctrl+v and you will paste the cheat command. It will be formatted like this: cheat TP J8 -451257 320374 484 Please use this when you are making reports to us, it will allow us to be more efficient when looking into your reports! Thank you
