More Content yes, more tames hell no. This is not Ark 2.0, more ships, faster ships, more Buildings we can interact with would be nice

Hello, it was great to read in ATLAS Roadmap post .. great to read what Dev team understand the issue with offline raiding and will try to do something with it. Today we have 9 h wartime on claimed islands. Really, it's way too long for regular players. How do you see we can protect our lands if we are go to sleep and war time is still ongoing? It is not fun at all and make the game boring. Please consider to change war time to 4-5 h. That will be enough for pvp on the land, but remove offline raiding issue from the game. - Redrick

So this topic always went down well on other forums I've been on. Figured we could give it a try here. Nitrado Xbox Server: Today I managed to finish my first sloop, the very basics anyway, I'll tweak it over time.

Been playing the game since it came out and still enjoying it, however one thing that I really miss from the start is the original blank map that filled in as you explored. It was fun to just explore, not being sure when or were you'd find land. Seeing the trails on the map where you'd been, trying to fill in the missing bits. Just gave you something else to do on PVE, which certainly didn't hurt. So does anyone else miss that blank map?

Grapeshot and all game content deciders, Using the idea of fantasy and magic is a great idea, however can you please consider using another term than Tarot so the game can be played by more audiences. This is something that is not acceptable by many groups in real life as well as in game, and will not bring any value to the game. Making it more fantasy like Lord of the Rings and many others will still allow the gameplay your trying to develop, however without bring occult practice ideas that billions would avoid. Please consider this. Other than that I'm liking the development so far. Keep up the good work.

definitely need more: events ships PvE content NPC's to interact with as vendors quest givers PvP stuff I suppose... fixed WPE WPE pirates that wander around the islands WPE ships that sail around the maps not just in circles near an island

Yeah we have enough tames. We want more variety with ships, PvE content and improved PvP rule sets to allow smaller companies a better chance at survival.

what for? just quit and have fun with real games, i did that and i will never regret it, i gave up on the boring, frustraiting, aimless, tedious gameplay of atlas and in exchange i got lots of fun in 7 days to die, oxygen not included, satisfactory, and others, dont waste your time waiting, there is lots of good titles waiting.

Our company has bought a PVE island and pay a good amount daily to keep it. Only to have people who have moved off but just come back to renew their timers. They dont use the island or live on it yet bounce on to renew their timer. This leaves no space for actual new comers to build or get resources. We would like active neighbors but this is a problem. There are no benefits to pay gold to have a island except to name it and collect few resources.

Nope, the crafting bonus were game killing... That is why they reduced their impact this much, until they get going on game balancing again...

It's funny though a few of us have asked for an airship which was in the original version of atlas, and people say it isn't pyraty and we should keep this game authentic. Then we get a submarine, torpedoes, giant crabs, and now magic! So could anyone please explain again why we shouldn't have an airship?

Pretty sure I said explore nearby islands, that implied the islands around the freeport. Fast Traveling to the free port is just an exploitative means of travel since rafts/sloops are easy to craft, you just sail to all the nearby islands in neighboring zones and get the POIs.

Never had that happen to yet. I actually really enjoy sailing in Storms And fighting sotds at the Same Time. I know that brigs And Schoners Are really Hard to steer in Storms but thats about it. What glitches off the ship for you ?

Allmost all quest rewards look underwelming. Some value you only see when you dont have them. - 20% gold is additional gold, and more importat more XP (form the gold). - 30% taming, OMG compare to without! - EQ buff from squid? I am still not used to not having it, i lose buff on a constant basis. And buff is super important. - encumbered speed, I hate to not have it, it is a gamechanger. - the boss rewards are super nice, but i think they are out of the question anyway. - durability is a must with the basic low numbers, and also for BP goods. - prone speed and stam recovery is ..... can be used sometimes (monkey taming etc.) So you hunt the ghostship for like 1-10 hours, and have several months benefit from it.

I have no problems with them. They’re stupid, but I never glitched.

i agree, i have been i several games wich include some sort of pet/taming feature (not as focused on it as atlas tho) and most of the times it feels natural, in here it goes like: beat the crap out of it, tie it like your bitch and after all the misstreatment it will stay forever by your side if you force some food in its mouth, like..wot? and the low level implementation is surrealistic, like when a giraffe falls and its head literally goes trough a wall/rock/ mountain and then it rotates 90 degrees so you can feed it, but depending on the spot it fell and how large they are it can end up in a infinite loop of rotation making you lose all your taming progress. but dont say that too loud, some people here think thats the "right" way

Here is me and a friend's "traditional" brig setup for SotD. We typically are solo engaging (1 person on the ship), or we'll bring a brig and a schooner (1 person per ship). Brig with 12 gunports, 12 cannons. No extra deck or rear cannons No extra pseudo-armor (wood ceilings/walls) 3 Large handling sails Helps with wind angles in combat Great acceleration/deceleration capabilities (you can dodge volley's by "tricking" them into firing where you won't be) If sails are low (like 5-20%) your ship will turn much faster Pre-combat inventory check (minimums): 400-1000 cannonballs (ammo box) 2000 wood (resource chest) 5000 fiber (resource chest) 3000 thatch (resource chest) 300 metal (resource chest) 100 hides (resource chest) 5+ replacement gunports 5+ replacement planks 1 replacement sail 1 replacement wheel 1 replacement deck 1+ repair hammers 1+ buckets 1+ grappling hooks (for loot, and anti-mermaid if fighting in power island grid) 1+ spyglass (so you can see level's & hp at distance) 1+ sextant (mini-map, gps, speed HUD) * replacement ceilings/roofs/walls * Highly recommend you put a small storage chest somewhere in your central area or pilot house (easy to get to from wheel) that has all of your emergency gear above in it. Paint it red. You DO NOT want to be hunting for any of these items during combat. Prioritize leveling up Resistance first and then Damage. The more resistance you have, the less punishing it is to not avoid a incoming volley. SotD galleons are the exception here, even with high resistance it is still possible to get a tight spread and get planked in one volley. Early on, before you have much resistance, you will be taking a lot more damage and dealing with missing planks. Combat Strategies Mind the wind, know your turn before you do it. Use changing angles and speeds to both get into targeting position, but to also fake-out & dodge their volley's. Use either "free fire" or "fire on my target" with NPC's. Once you have high resistance, high damage, and blueprint cannon's/planks; you'll be more into a position to face-tank most everything except a galleon. Big incoming damage, "your sinking!", and missing planks First, do not panic! Unless you really messed up and have 3++ missing planks, you have a couple of minutes to deal with the situation (even in the worst case, you still have some time, just have to be fast). You are not in immediate danger of losing your ship. First, point your ship in a good direction with good wind. Set your sails to full and leave the wheel to deal with repairs. Yes, you will still be taking some incoming cannon fire, but you will quickly be out of their range. Second, repair (with hammer) any planks with leaking status as they are about to be destroyed. You can repair the same plank multiple times in a row to get it to repair faster than just the slow repair over time. Ignore missing planks until you fix the leaks (you can't do anything with them yet anyways due to "debris smoke"). Third, replace missing gunports & planks once smoke has cleared. Repair them immediately as well. (Pro-tip, switch away or unequip plank from hotbar quickly. You do not want to be accidentally replacing random good planks with accidental clicks) Fourth, pop your head on deck and see if you are out of aggro range, if so, drop your sails (either from wheel or use whistle menu from anywhere on ship). Fifth, repair anything that has more than 1000 points of damage (ignore slightly damaged stuff, waste of repair materials). Do not forget to check your sails, they take a lot of damage! Sixth, turn around and get back to sinking that SotD Rinse & repeat, keep an eye on your repair materials and work your way up through tundra, polar, and powerstone grid SotD.

I totally understand your desire to have players out on the oceans more but please don’t diminish the role of tames. I want the full experience and to me that includes land content as well as ocean content.

because it has been there longer than 24hrs already , once something has been built for 24hrs it cannot be removed , even if the island changes hands if the timer is refreshing then the owner of the building is active and playing why would u want to remove them ? they were there before you ? they are entitled to build and play the game as much as you are
