You should specify whether you're talking about pvp or pve servers. I have no idea why anyone would think wiping the pve servers would produce growth in player numbers. Most of the players left would leave, and the wipe doesn't produce any real advantage for new incoming players, since the servers are already so empty, they can easily come in and start playing.

A short list with some fixes and maybe some new features who can be added to the game. Land- -The max health on characters should be limited at 300 and only with BP gear we should be able to cross 300 health.(more fair fights between players) -Fix pike range underwather (is huge and higher in comparison when is used on land) -The glider should loose altitude depending on the weight of the character.(More weight means much faster loosing altitude). -The timer for heal our self with a medkit should be increased. -To heal our self under the wather with a medkit shouldnt be a thing. -Increase mortar damage (it is no longer effective against galies with full resistence,no sense to use mortars against enamy ships even if is an 200% damage mortar. -Increase the 3rd person view when using mortars, we cant use the mortars properly when the mortar is placed somewhere in top of the pillar/cliff. -Increase Standard Carbine damage. -More gun depression for ballista. -More gun depression for Swivel. -Increase puckle resistence, 2 nades and the puckle is gone (Fix puckles behind the stairs) -We shouldnt be able to contest the flag when we are inside the submarine. -We should be allowed to move the flag location in our island once per week without loosing the island claim. -Less range for cannon on tames especially when the tames are on top of the hill/cliff. -Let as to able to pick the Swivel/Puckle/Ballista whenever we want and be able put it somewhere else. -Because no one is farming resources for BP walls/cellings/floors everyone prefers to spam more walls layers so will be nice if we can crafts on usual smithy with only 1 type of resources walls/cellings etc with 1/3/5/x resistence and off course the costs should be much higher but at least the walls spam will be much less or maybe BP with random resistence between 1 and 5 but this BP shouldnt ask for more types of resouces. SEA- - More speed for ships when backwards. -Fix Grapplinghook ships (We shouldnt be able to grap an enamy ship if our ship have less weight than enamy ship). -Let us to be able to take parts from enamy ship or from our ship who got sunk planks/sails/deck.etc (More reasons to sail and have sea fights). -The resistence on ships should be limited at 300. -Let us to decide if our/any ally company can see our ships position on the sea (this is for sea fights). -Let us to be able to reset our points for ships same like our character. -We need large doors who can be used for Harbour entrance,in particular for Galleon. -The cannons placed on ships should do less damage to structures on land. -Will be nice notifications when an ally join in the grid so will not be neccesary everytime to asking in ally chat who joined. I can explain even better why i'm asking this changes if someone is really interested. Will be nice to see your opinions about this list @Dollie and @Jatheish and off course the opinions from our community. ( 2700 hours in game only on PVP official if someone is curious)

Additional Update: We have managed to make already existing savefiles load with this change, however, you will be forced to create a new character and make a new company. Force-joining into the old company will not work. However, you can then reclaim all your structures, ships, and creatures again with the use of admin commands such as: - cheat takeallstructure This will transfer all the structures, boats, and claimflags of the previous company, to your own. - cheat takealldino This will transfer all the creatures of the previous company, to your own. - cheat giveallstructure This will transfer the structure you’re looking at, as well as anything snapped to it, to you. - cheat givetome This will transfer the individual object you’re looking at, to you (works with creatures too). With our upcoming update (v218.24), some critical changes were made to the way Unofficial Non-ATLAS (Blackwood) servers saves were handled. This was in order to resolve the following issues: Players were randomly removed from their company Companies being deleted Being unable to spawn on beds Beds not appearing on the map Ships not appearing on the map After some days of investigating ways in which we can push this update with no loss of data, we've had to acknowledge that it isn't possible to migrate existing saves to the new system for dedicated servers. Given the critical nature of these issues, we don't see putting this update on hold as a viable option. Unfortunately, Non-ATLAS (Blackwood) saves made prior to this patch on dedicated servers will no longer load. This means a new save file will need to be created. Please note that this change only impacts Non-ATLAS Dedicated servers, so Single Player and Non-Dedicated saves will be unaffected. We apologize to those affected, and we'll always look to avoid wiping or any data loss scenarios when and where possible. We have opted to push this update through quickly in order to allow players and dedicated server owners to get back into Blackwood with little pause. Thank you for your understanding

There is exactly zero incentive to PVP in atlas. Why hassle with trying to attack an enemy fleet in an epic sea battle, or siege a well equipped fort with heroic defenders when you can simply wait for your enemies to log off, then kill them without resistance and destroy everything they ever created in the game in minutes. Once your enemy logs off, they are defenseless, sleeping, and therefore can be killed with a single hit and looted of all possessions without any skill or difficulty involved. There are no safe places to log off either. The strongest walls anyone can build in the game can be destroyed with a few salvos from a ship, so in about 10 seconds. Even walls that are built far away from shores can be destroyed by a single cannon cart in about two minutes. Also, a simple cannon has longer range than any defensive armament of a base, so you can safely park your ship or cannon cart outside any base, and shoot it without any chance of retaliation. Any ship you may build will also go down in a matter of seconds if found unmanned, even if you spent a week building it. Suppose you are really vested into not dying when you log off, and decide to spend an enormous amount of time and effort building on a remote mountain top that is both away from ships, and cannot be reached by cannon carts. Well, then then any attacker can still destroy the strongest wall you can build in the game with about 30 grenades, in about 2 minutes. To put this into context, grenades are relatively cheap to make and the average player can carry about a hundred. Interestingly, not only is it incredibly fast and easy to kill people offline and destroy entire bases, its rather expensive to build them. Atlas has the odd logic of making it cheaper to attack a fort than to defend one, even not counting the range advantage of attackers that makes all the defensive armaments useless anyway. At the moment not even mega companies seem to keep a large enough player force to defend themselves 24/7, so just build yourself a cheepo ship, get a horse with a cart, pack in a few grenades and sail around to find any building or ship left unattended for two minutes. Destroy it, loot it then move on. Its what everybody seems to be doing as its the most efficient strategy with the current game mechanics. A single player in underpants can currently beat any mega. I had this stupid idea a month ago to start the game, team up with some friends, build an awesome pirate base and fleet and then look for other fleets to battle. After a month, the four other guys left, as if we built something, it would always be destroyed while we were offline. We never witnessed an actual battle. We did see ships sometimes, but if they found us online, they would just sail away without attacking, and avoided us if we tried chasing them. The few allies we met have the exact same experience (most of them left after getting wiped repeatedly). I have only witnessed actual ship vs ship combat on videos. And to be fair, cruising around we found countless fleets moored on shore with their owners logged off, and also countless bases built by fellow players. We made the policy of not attacking anything if there are no players on it, as it did not seem much fun griefing others. But for most people this is the game: find an unattended ship or base, destroy it, then loot it. If you find other players, then just avoid them. Offline griefing is by far the most efficient strategy in this game, and this makes it a very unrewarding experience in my opinion. Its not the fault of the players, its a mistake of the game developers that made offline raiding the easiest and most rewarding activity in Atlas. A very poor game design choice if I may say so.

I'm guessing you're talking about pvp. Even so, if the game is a success, the final whistle won't be for years yet. During that time, people will come in, play out their entire adventure and then leave for other games. Companies will rise then fall, rise again, etc. Do your friends always expect to be the first one into a game? It seems so weird to be in early EA and people are thinking it's too late to get into the game. And it's not even the first whistle. It's the pre-game warmup.

The resources are there to be gathered whether players are already present or not. Resource nodes are not finite but renew therefore this argument is invalid. This would only matter if players blocked access to nodes which is extremely rare on pve and usually done inadvertently if at all. There is no competitive advantage to be gained in pve by being there first. You need to understand that if I own an island I want you to come gather on my island because I get free bonus resources when you do that cost you nothing. It is completely win/win on pve. If there were enough pve players such that all the islands were already owned, I could see your argument carrying some weight, but this is nowhere close to being true. There is plenty of territory to be had so I think the end any argument that a pve wipe is necessary falls back to a very narrow, selfish point of view that puts one’s own personal preferences to have every last thing one could possibly want no matter what it costs someone else. This is the only position from which you can defend a pve wipe is needed argument. So what if there are tons of console players coming? A) you cannot assert that to be true with absolute authority, you can only say what you expect to happen. B) Guess what? Many of the pve players you want to wipe just to make that extra tiny tiny tiny little bit of room available for the console players as well already fought through super crowded conditions to get what they have now. They have already endured one wipe. As far as I’m concerned, they’ve earned the right to keep what they have if the reason to take it away from them is just to make room for newcomers. Wipes are part of Early Access, I’m perfectly willing to deal with them. What I’m not willing to agree is needed is a wipe just so brand new console players can get exactly what they want. They can suck it up and deal. We already have. Do not speak to me of what console players will and won’t put up with. I’m telling you what I will and won’t put up with, and it’s this nonsense notion that I must make way for some entitled brats who will pitch a fit if anyone else is there first.

Dude. How many times do I have to say it? The number of incoming console players is completely irrelevant to how much room will be created by a wipe. That number is about how many players are already on, and that number is low to the point that a wipe would serve no purpose but to piss those people off. You seem to be having a great deal of trouble wrapping your head around this basic fact because you keep referencing the number of console players as the reason a wipe is needed.

When my friends and I go out to dinner, we think the restaurant should clear away all the existing diners as we come in, because we like things to be nice and clean. For some strange reason, they keep refusing to do that. On pve, there is either enough room for all the players or not. If there's not enough room, the only way wiping makes more room is by getting a lot of players to quit. Doesn't seem like a great goal to me, getting players to quit to make more room for other players. Wiping the server doesn't magically let it hold more players than it already would hold. You've spent weeks crowing about how far down the server numbers are. Now all of a sudden your crystal ball says there are too many players to accommodate new sales. I think your crystal ball has a crack in it. The only ones who will know real numbers are Grapeshot. If I were them I'd judge it by presales and then decide whether to open up a new server (crossplay or not) for the incoming players. Either everyone will fit on the existing servers or they will need another server. No amount of wiping changes that equation.

At some point, you have to realize that pushing on a door that only opens towards you, just isn't going to work. I have played several survival games, and every one has the ability to totally wipe people...set them back to zero. What took months to acquire, in some cases, can be wiped out in minutes. I have been playing those games again, and I'm presently playing Conan. What I have seen in the past, and I'm seeing again, is that people often quit the game after getting wiped. For some of those games, I am not sure what can be done to fix that, but I think Atlas is unique, in that a fix that drastically reduces the pain of getting wiped, can also enhance the game play. I noted before that if there is a central bank on the Freeports, and a Stable for tames, it would provide for more pirating at sea, while also lessening the impact of wipes. The stables would allow you store 2 of each type of animal. This would work just like uploading a dino in Atlas, except that there is no timer. You talk to the stable owner, and pay a fee to store the animals. Nothing outrageous...like a few credits per week, per animal. You can also breed on this island. A new structure should be made. Just big enough for the tames to breed in, and a baby to be raised in. It disappears after the baby matures. Babies left unattended for 48 hours after this happens, after they matured, become claimable. The Central bank would allow you to store gold, blue prints, and maps. Maps would not decay while stored there, but could become invalid if somebody builds on that spot. A limit could be set on how many maps and BPs a company can store at the bank. Not a small number, but also not an unlimited number. Gold stored should earn interest, but a safety deposit box for the maps and BPs should cost a small amount of gold. So storing gold could auto-pay the cost for the safety deposit box. So, what this does is create pirating opportunities, as people try to store their valuables, but also when they pick them up, to use them. What most companies would likely do, is try to keep enough gold at their base to pay the NPCs, for about a week, but then they would need to make occasional gold runs from the bank, back to base. After breeding your animals, you would need to get them home. To use maps, you would need to go pick them up. To use BPs, you would need to pick them up and take them back to base. Having gold stored, would also allow a company that got wiped, to quickly recover, as they can use gold to buy resources. They could have a few BP ships ready to go, and enough structures, and enough NPCs to get a base set up someplace, very quickly, if they were diligent about creating their safety net in the bank. Somebody who spent 3 to 6 months creating an awesome breeding line, isn't going to feel like they are now, once again, standing at the foot of Mt Everest, after having made it to the summit, or gotten nearly to the top. I think this would help stop the bleeding, the people leaving the game, after being wiped. It would also add more fun and pirating opportunities. I think it would take some of the focus off of wiping, and put it onto pirating.

Hello, The other day our Company had 4 ships go "poof" suddenly... I have been guarding these ships for people in vacation etc so have made sure I: Fast travel to them at least every 4 Days, raise the anchor and move the ship a little bit back and forth, and then lower the anchor again. In the official version it is said to be enough to refresh the timer every 14 Days... then how is it that ships can decay after only a few days? I will make a bug report for this too on yer discord later, but I wanna raise awareness that this game breaking bug is very real. I don't really care about minor bugs but this is a huge one that needs to be addressed quickly, in my opinion. If there is never any way to make sure our ships are there, then how can we play a sailing game? I can rebuild, no worries. This time. But if it keeps happening, it will probably take away my enjoyment of the game. I know it's EA and all and that is why I wanted to give feedback on this crucial part of the game. I hope you guys look into this problem (I have read of others having same problem). If anyone else reads this thread and have same problem, feel free to mention it so the devs might see it's not just one person. Thanks!

Hello, doing a lot of construction and worshiping the system and building as well as the game environment, I want to go on the construction of a big project (the famous Port-Royal pirate film of the Caribbean) even if that risk of taking a lot of time, it remains only at the end the result should be huge To begin the location of the island (find by GLOBYTHEOLDPIRATE) appears to be the best Freeport poster in a cove with a fort rather like that of the movie, the only small problem is the large statue to enter it from the creek ^^ I would also like to know if any of you have managed to find photos (from all angles) of Port-Royal, because the database (Google) does not really provide a lot of visual details to make a copy again compliant! I will post Screen of Progress hoping that you like it and give a good idea to future build And still sorry for the bad translation ( Google ) French basic language

Hi devs. Just a quick one on the current state of raiding. Its too easy to raid anything at ground level atm. Using a bear/ horse with a cannon snapped to a cart it is possible to outrange npc puckles/ ballistas etc without any fear of being hit. Can you please have someone look at this and possibly decrease the range so that npc seated puckles/ ballistas etc on land have more range than the cannon carts. I can see why so many people leave the game after their "defended" base is easily raided. Id like raiding to be alot harder than ship to ship PVP. Players invest alot of time into defending their bases and tbh i can raid a whole island depending on the size quite easilly atm in the combat phase despite other players putting up towers and defences and being online to attempt to defend. Full disclosure i am from a big company but i would like to see smaller companies feel like they can still defend their only base on a fair playing field.

Pretty much. If player numbers are any indication, people prefer Atlas for its MMO like qualities, more than it's Ark/Rust like qualities. The team should focus on bringing the actual game structure up to snuff.

If you played pvp, I can see how your friends might worry about getting overrun by established companies. But for pve? Tell your friends to come on in, the water's fine. There's plenty of tension, setbacks, adventures, and progress. The only thing there isn't is plenty of players. If your'e a new player that's to your benefit. You can find land, and a fairly welcoming group of established players to start out with. The only other thing that I think will bring large numbers of players to the game (or back to the game) is a real "mega" release. New game mechanics, deeper skill trees with bigger impacts, a fix to the small remaining number of bugs annoying enough to make someone QQ - like disappearing ships and structures. If they kicked up the skill trees and added a whole structure to enable people to group together and accomplish some things as a town, that would be big.

In my case, I chose PVE in Atlas because I am not active enough for PVP. But I watch the player numbers on all servers and just think about how to get some movement back in the game. I'm very open to other suggestions.

Because sometimes I’m a glutton for punishment. Also although I can get frustrated at time with him because the fact he hasn’t played sometimes causes him to overestimate his knowledge and understanding of the game, I don’t agree that everything he says is worthless. There have been times when he has contributed meaningfully to discussions and I personally have no bias for or against console gamers. To me everyone is just a gamer. I know too many people who use both to draw any big distinction between the two. Also I tend to cut Realist a lot of slack because he is able to argue his positions without resorting to insults or personal attacks. Given the state of most gaming forums, this carries a lot of weight with me.
  22. 1 point
I don't know why you waste your time trying to educate Realist, he hasn't even played Atlas. So anything he says is pretty much mute. He also is clearly a console gamer who only cares about console games. Probably due to his dependency on aim assist. And as far as console numbers, I'll believe it when i see it. I don't think there will be much of a influx of players and even if there is a slight bump it will fade fast. The game simply isn't good enough yet.
  23. 1 point
But this isn't ark and it is a MMO that doesn't have the amount of servers that ark had/has. So besides having some other mechanic change to do another wipe that has already happened it kinda would need a wipe when EA is over with. It would only be right to do so. I'm not saying they will or won't do it, I'm just saying in my opinion it would need to happen for this game. So if it does happen I don't see why do a wipe just for cross play alone when another whipe is around the corner. But if you are right and another wipe doesn't happen at all then yes it needs to happen when and if cross play happens.
  24. 1 point
Agree and disagree at the same time. To do it on pve just for cross play alone no I don't think it would need it. If they are going to do a wipe when the game comes out of EA then I say why not wait. If they are not going to do a wipe then yes I say go ahead and wipe if they do cross play. If they are going to do a wipe after EA then why do one just for cross play? No body is making anyone on console buy an EA game just like nobody made everyone that bought it for PC buy a EA game before it was ready. I say know what you are buying before you buy it. Would that be stupid if they don't do a wipe just for cross play if they are going to turn around and do a other wipe? I don't think so. Just because you or some others want a fresh start because PC had that chance is irrelevant in my opinion. I just don't see why we need to do 2 wipes when we can do just one more. EA to me isn't about actually playing the game like you would a game that is ready to go. To me it is about playing and finding those bugs, glitches, balancing and coming here and voicing what you feel would make things better for the game. If you can't do that because it isn't wiped and a fresh start just to get to an island before someone else then to me EA isn't for you. If they do cross play to me it is to jump in help find the problems and have fun until the game is ready and then a wipe happens and you get the fresh start as everyone else. Again though this is if they will do another wipe. If not I totally agree a wipe should happen. Just my opinion though.

I was pulling your leg. You’ve been pretty emphatic about this point all along. I do tend to agree with Thorne though with regards to pve. There are tons of places for console players to build right now on pve. Given that there is no competitive advantage to be gained, why would a pve wipe be a necessity? Just because console players absolutely demand a pristine game world to build in at the expense of the few hearty souls who have stuck through everything to date? Remember, this isn’t game launch, it’s merely console access to an ongoing Early Access. As one of those hearty souls who has been here since day one, I have to say I’m inclined to borrow a phrase from our British brethren when reacting to any such notion: Bollocks to that.

The right amount of players=fun, and we're well under that amount now. And that is true for PvE as well as PvP. However - The idea that wiping servers brings more players is very strange. The last time the servers got wiped nearly everyone quit. I can see that there might be an argument for it on pvp servers, since it's hard to start our as a n00b in pvp when everyone else is fully loaded to smack you down as soon as you join. The land claim dynamic is different there as well. On pve servers, a wipe only drives away the players that are left there. Then as new players come in, they see a ghost town, and they don't stick around either. The pve servers should be able to support thousands more people than they have today. There's no reason new players can't just join them and start.

It's already a great game for me. It's very positive when a game is constantly evolving and never reaches Done status. It's just a bit boring when the hoped-for dynamic between players doesn't happen due to lack of players. More players = More dynamics = More fun ... No matter if PVP or PVE.

Wiping is the problem, yes, we all know that... But your QoL wishlist is not stopping it... People will still leave after a wipe... why bother taking out your tames and gold out of a bank to start over if you only get wiped again...? The problem is there is almost no means to protect your stuff against the OP cannon PC vs NPC, so no offline protection you can set up; the OP tames that make no sense but in ARK... If people would be able to build protection that actually work and not just cost many hours to build to get wasted in one. If attacking someone would cost equal or more than the defender. Than people could work towards a secured base, than people would not so often and easy attack such a base and just wipe it, than people would not “need“ a bank and leave anyway... If you can build a base that is actually able to be save from attack and you find out you did not a good job designing it, would you leave or try again from what you learned? If you find out there is no way to build such a base and you have no influence on loosing your base and stuff every time a bear cannon comes by, would you leave? Most do...

The tech at your service provider is wrong. I'm running a Nitrado server on Blackwood and and it's saving a backup once per day. Now, I actually have it set to save every hour, so it's by no means perfect. That being said, you should be able to do a manual save in-game or through ARKon with "cheat saveworld".

we just learned an important lesson. Blackwood does not do auto saves so we lost everything. the tech at our server provider says it has to be in the game to do the auto saves like the ocean map does. Is this the truth? we cant be stopping the server every hour or so to make a backup.

I can't make a grill or spyglass without crystals.... Where can I find some? UPDATE => Found crystal at the top of the waterfall (next to the inlet cave) on the Freeport Island. It's on a dark colored rock.

I really like this idea, I liked it so much I included it as an idea in my "Nations" system, but it functions more like the space station from EvE Online.

So there is Herkimer crystals Around, Atop and Below the waterfall on the South-western area where the small island are. There is PLENTY off it. Enjoy (Freeport Island)

My friends and i came back to this game when you launched the non-ded. We left when you wiped and the claim system was enough to keep us away, but we saw this and decided to give it a try again. Some how, after months of extra development, the game is buggier and less stable then it was before. Non-Ded is pretty much unplayable for us. On top of the in game bugs (most of which, while annoying, could be dealt with) the game crashes constantly. Both for the host and for people connected to his game. To make it worse, when the host crashes there's about a 50% chance that it will literally lock up his PC forcing a reboot. We figured, well it's a new game mode, give them a bit to sort it out... it's been well over a week and not a single patch addressing these issues has been released. We just tried to play again and it it crashed for the host twice in a span of 10 minutes, the second one locked up his PC. He quit the game in frustration and the rest of us are going with him. We want to like your game... shame you won't let us. Maybe try testing content before you release it, or at least acknowledge the problems and TRY to fix them. This isn't some minor bug in game, people literally cannot play. And yes, i put a post in this bug forum after giving it a bit... it was, and still has been, ignored. Edit: sorry, it's been over TWO weeks since SP launched, not one week as i said in my post. So the mode is largely unplayable for over half a month and you're patching corpse weight and planting seeds..

Basically, instead of having the SotD spawning as the AI enemy in grids unless tied to an event such as the kraken or something. Instead, what would be better is if there were AI Pirate Hunters/Privateers/Royal Navy or w/e that would also fight against the future wild pirate encampment ships they happen upon. This would let players observe a nautical battle and wait for an opportune moment to strike, or provide a way to evade unwanted pursuers. It could also be a way to allow players to be slightly sneaky if they happen to design a ship to look like, say, a Royal Navy schooner. Thus making it so the spyglass would have more use due to needing it to ascertain if a ship is an AI or player, because as it is, the stark difference in ship design doesn't leave much room for doubt on if a ship is an AI or Player.

I think the problem with the examples you’re citing or are almost any examples you could cite is one of observation bias. Given how gamers are inclined to whinge about anything and everything, you can probably take any change made to the game and find some number of players who vocally whinged about it before it was changed. Correlation is not causation. This is not evidence that the changes were made in reaction to the whinging. Moreover I agree with user1 that in the case of Megas, nothing was actively done to bring about their decline, it was an organic development in reaction to an eroding playerbase overall. To the extent that Megas exist to prey on other players, when their natural prey evaporates, so do they. If lions on the Serengeti hunt zebras into near non existence and the few remaining move to somewhere they won’t be lonely targets, lion prides will also become scarce, but it won’t have been because of anything game wardens did. The chief difference between lions and pvp mega clan members is that the lions won’t cluelessly post to message boards complaining that the Serengeti is lame and the game wardens should all be fired, blindly oblivious that their own behavior was a key factor in the disappearance of zebras and their own downfall. Lions are smarter than that. Note that all of this is independent from whether the game wardens are good at their job.

No real reward for stuff. Blueprints are great, but it's like, hey you beat that high level sotd, now go farm 50 islands on opposite ends of the map to be able use anything you got. There should be actual items in some of the drops, coupled with BPs, that'd be awesome. And just in general, the journey is fun, the reward for the journey isn't, I've climbed so many mountains just to find normal wood and berries at the top, I want to find rarer resources at the tops of mountains, or a little village to explore, not just 3 pigs and tons of poop. Or the alphas dropping normal resources, why not loot, I might enjoy them then.

I mean, you are free to have an opinion; everyone in this thread who plays PvE (including myself) seems to disagree. I would love to build warships in a PvE zone and sell them to a mega alliance for thier war efforts, but maybe that's just me....

Oddly enough, I always thought is was a fun “quest” to find loot demolishing stuff in PVE. When they took that away I lost one of the reasons to play. And it is certainly not the same waiting out a timer. Abandoned structures gave the game a unique feel that you could explore ruins that were actually real ruins. If I had one wish, I would like auto destruct turned off. *please

The Movie '' Ready Player One'' which gave us a scary view into the future, teached and reminds us what we all want, playin together in a huge world. And since this movie we all know that the great James Halliday never had sex. ATLAS will be the early version of the OASIS and the Grandmother of the Matrix!

I think it's fair to say a lot of players had already departed before any time, thought, or effort was put into those alternative game modes. As for Blackwood, it's development did start much earlier but was primarily handled by one developer up until the last two weeks to get it out the door and deal with the technical issues. Obviously the openworld game has its issues, we don't shy from that, but it's clear the direction the team had taken with our updates weren't really impactful in turning the ship around. You could argue that taking a break from it allows us to give it a fresh perspective and tackle different things in order to get ATLAS to where it needs to be. As for not caring, you're highly mistaken. This isn't just a job for a lot of the people here, it's a passion and everyone wants to see the project succeed. There's still a lot more work to do and will be continuing to do it over the months ahead. Whether people choose to return or stick around, that's up to them but the team will always put it's best efforts forward in that regards.

Hello there Veteran Pirates, Forum bookworms, newbies And Realist ( honestly he is his own category,no offense mate ) We all know Grapeshot did alot of Bullshit at the Release And it was And still is your right to react to it. But it seems that many People Who really enjoy this game forgot about something really Important imo And that is actually the negativ Review on Steam And other platforms. I wont ask People to just Change it if they still Dont like the Game, but as many others you might have forgotten to Change it into something positive. Potential Players may or may Not Play because of your Review. There are Tons of Players who have over 1k hours in this game And i Dont think anyone spends 1k hours on a Game he does Not like. Even if its only one Person reading this And changing his Review it is a Start. We all have high hopes And Maybe its time for us to give Other Players the Chance to enjoy this game And also bring some Motivation to our Grapeshot guys

I agree that extreme weather should be less common and they should have lots of types of weather between them. Drizzle, light rain, heavy rain, torrential rain, Thunderstorm, Severe Thunderstorm (Waterspouts), Tropical depression, Tropical Storm, Hurricane. Flurries, snow, blizzard. Light fog, fog, heavy fog, low fog, high fog. Dust Storm, lightning storm (no rain). The heat wave and cold blast happen way to often, they also use a ridiculous amount of extra food especially during rain and cold blasts and water during heat blasts. If I am wearing fur armor which is made from animal fur... which is good and keeping water from penetrating and trapping heat in. How the hell am I 100% wet and freezing to death just walking around in the rain. Also rain falls through some overhanging rocks where it shouldn't on some islands. I have tried using tons of fortitude and also wearing the appropriate weather event related armor and also using the temp bonus in armor and I am STILL affected by the extreme weather. Also would like to see seasons at some point every X in game days. This could allow southern and northern climates to have a summer, spring, winter, fall with seasonal changes in the temperatures and the equatorial islands to maintain a year round tropical season. Could allow growing of warmer foods etc in the extreme climates in the summers. Also agree the weather extremes temperature values need to be gone over. 145C or -125C on the island is maybe a little bit much.
