    This has been the state of the game since the very beginning. If a tame inside a building is left on Neutral, and the building it's in is attacked, it's head will clip through the wall/door/gate and players on the other side of the unbroken wall/door/gate can shoot or melee the tame's head and kill it. Literally everyone who's ever owned a tame on PvP servers knows this and honeycomb their building in order to work around this ridiculous and ongoing collision bug. Some players opt to not honeycomb and leave all pets on Passive - which means that, when the enemy players finally do break in, all of those ferocious lions, tigers and bears will stand there passively while the attackers kill them with harvesting tools. So, we have a situation where players can either leave their defensive tames on neutral and lose them to this collision bug, or leave them on passive and helpless. Considering how central tames are to the game, it's astounding to me that nothing has been done to address this in the past six months.

    Guys i really enjoy my pirate life inside your persistant Atlas world. I just dont like how you absolutely focus on mega patches only for mega tribes. I am quite sure that the majority of your players are solos/small tribes/casuals. Why lock them out from fun stuff like subs and torpedoes ? One of the big advantages in Conan Exiles is the ability for everybody to gain anything solo. Not easily, but with the correct preparation and planning. Please consider a similar strategy and i am quite sure that the 50.000 players from game launch in december will be back here soon. Dont let the Atlas galleon crush into the next iceberg.

    It's a very niche game. There is such an extreme amount of content missing to break out of that to grow population, the die hard will have to suffer extreme low population with blind faith that the devs will pull it off while the trolls run around saying how right they are about the game's dead and how dumb the remaining players are. Welcome to niche. I love the company I play with and the companies around us. What's really hard to accept is knowing without Atlas, there really isn't anything we can all enjoy like this together. This has the open world of am mmo (vs Ark servers) and the freedom of a sandbox on a grand scale. So, where are the players going?? No where. They're waiting for the game to get good. Or the next game to come out. But there's countless players just killing time in random games, waiting for Atlas (or another conquest game) to have enough content to enjoy. This game needs more than what it has for farming and gear grind. Make us run pve dungeons for more than 1 unlock that we never need again. Make resources more uniform across settler islands in multiple biomes with rare resources that need to be farmed on islands you CAN'T build on. You could remove half the lawless tiles and switch them over. Force players into the water to gain experience and materials. Create conflict over resource rich areas that aren't people's bases. Make leveling options other than boring mob farming. Repeatable quests in areas that drive conflict with different scales of risk/reward. More dungeons like the snowman but much earlier on with reasons to go back. Even something on the starter island, the classic "rats under the tavern" quest to get people more involved. We have an empty shell. To be an mmo, we need all the fluff.

    Devs, how can you possibly call this a pirate game when stealing boats takes years? I mean this has to be one of the main priorities!? Kill the crew, break the doors, kill the beds, steal the ship. You have all the mechanics in place already yet you guys insist on a timer to take ships. It's absolutely terrible. Two minutes to sink a ship but 5 hours to steal. You got to be kidding us. I brushed aside that this was just a ark remake, but can we at least get some decent mechanics?! Also why can small tribes not be nomadic? Would make everyone much happier if you could park your boat in the middle of the sea and log off. Take a hint from eve online. The best pirate game ever made. A small tribe shouldn't have to fight for and defend land. Their should be a way a group of four people have a boat an when they all log of the boat despawns after set amount of minutes or after the personal owner logs off it despawns long as no one is aboard or taking damage. Yet alone how many frames people will save when coming to over crowded areas when others are not online. Would improve game experience ten fold and also make the game an actual game of its own instead of being ark 2.0

    Now of course you do. Do you have the fortitude to do it? Who knows. i have still never to this day strayed that it doesn’t matter what the 4K people think. what you need to do is very simple. It is really very simple. Structures are invulnerable. Meaning you can not attack or wipe a base. If you do that then you will succeed. all you promised in the main description was sea battles. I never saw “land battles” in the description. pretty simple really. All tames and ships are vulnerable and bases are invulnerable. sure the Megas might be bummed but that really doesn’t matter in the first place lol because they are the real problem to begin with. with only 1k players even on peak there isn’t going to be any kind of economy any time soon, even if they completely got rid of the shop cost and even gave incentives. i am just really hoping there is a playerbase left by the time that console releases because I do want to play the game. I really don’t care how crappy it is( I will come here and give feedback). the worst thing is that we are very closely approaching pre wipe numbers. Some might not realize what that means. The reason I say this is because everyone thought that once we hit 3k it was only because the wipe was coming and that everyone would come back. well with the wipe also came the mega update. We only saw a 2700 increase from the 3000 that were remaining. From that time till now not only has there been another mega update but also there was no wipe needed. Unfortunately out of the 2700 that returned we have now lost another 1300 since then. i am sure that nobody checks the steam charts as much as I do but over the last week there has been 50 plus people leaving each day(not including weekends, only about 5 each day for weekends). Even weekends have seen a slight decrease though. i am sure the next mega update will bring the 54k back though it is very simple guys. Get rid of wiping. That is all you need to do. That simple.

    This has been my idea for a few weeks now. 1. Anchored boats do not take or deal dmg. 2. Lower boat cap to 2-3 per person in company. Now you have a limited amount of safe space and you can log out. Leaving you the ability to be raided in tact, but not so much as to be wiped out of the game. Mainly, I agree that one of the biggest problems is the klenex strength of structures vs raiders. The devs forgot a pillar of game theory, that defenders should ALWAYS have the advantage. Remember in Risk, 3 dice to defender and 2 to attackers? They didn't.

    I believe we should remove the speed penalty from cargo racks. seems like they are useless at the current state. most everyone I've seen use them will add them, see how slow they go with them then removes them. It seems like such an awesome idea, hate to see them not being used.

    Most small companies in my area weren't wiped, i'd say they weren't even raided once, they just died of inactivity.

    My cows did not reset at all on the ship, walking, milking, getting bucket out of inv, NOTHING. I think they have to leave the ship. (Ship is a schooner with topdeck only still in a shipyard, so a poor mens barn) If they are not claimed yet i might retest with also whistle one off the ship.

    I'm all for the decay timer on ships and structures and the claim timer on animals. But I have to question why we can't see those timers on our own stuff. They had changed it so that we can see the decay timer on our own structures, but to see what the claim timer is on our animals we have to have someone from another company come over and tell us. There's no good reason for that. Similarly there's no good reason we shouldn't be able to see the decay timer on our ships. Feels like a lot of these issues could be avoided by just being allowed to know this information. It would also help us to give better feedback if something isn't working as intended, before bad things happen to people rather than after.

    Yeah, the timer thing is just plain DUMB! I had 3 anchored ships disappear, and 1 ship I was planning to drop in the water. It was only less than a week (in Lawless zone) that I had not done anything on the ship, even though I logged in almost daily in the same area of the ships. I was planning to launch it on the weekend, and it was gone when I logged in. I don't know WHY the devs would want a timer on boats when the guy is logging in right NEXT to them on a daily basis! Talk about a reason to rage quit a game like this. Just penalize a guy for not using one of his 4 ships by making it disappear for no reason without any counter on the boat that tells you it's counting down to nothingness. SUGGESTIONS: - Give us a timer counter similar to what we have on building structures. - Enforce a ship limit per character of 5 ships/character. A ship builder could give ships away to other players. - Enforce a ship limit of 25 ships/company if the company exceeds 5 people (so larger companies are deterred from parking ships in front of smaller companies for the purpose of griefing; or parking ships everywhere for island hopping). - Stop foundation spamming by allowing a player to put a customizable "base" flag down on their base to designate an area as a base. Only 10 such flags would be permitted in a company, and if an area is NOT designated as part of a base, the structures would simply disappears after 24 hours. - Stop shipyard spamming by using the menu system to designate up to 6 shipyards/company as active (Only: 2 Large, 2 Small, and 2 Tiny). All others will disappear after 24 hours.

    For people who have had issues with the company being dead because the owner uninstalled the game.. it be nice to have a successor feature, not sure how it would work. Maybe set a certain time frame for your own company where a person gets demoted from owner and the next in line successor gets ownership? Or have a demarked Successor role built into the company.

    Nice analysis, though I am not certain I understand your method, I do like the principle of having more variety be viable. I didn't realize there were speed "points" associated with the various speed sails (i.e. 22 for small, 46 for medium, 100 for large). That was purely from testing the impact of one mast on one boat (presumably a schooner with no extraneous weight)? I am skeptical that the math is that simple, however I can't argue that mixtures of other types of sails are just dramatically slower.

    it would be nice if we could drop the cargo container not only when the ship is destroyed but on purpose so we can just drop the container on a close enough dock construction, pick up another cargo container and sail on. for example when selecting "place container" from the cargo rack menu we can then place it in a small area around the cargo rack on land, water or the ship deck, when there is enough free room to place the container. it would allow the crane to function well as a crane and help with ship constructions that collide with cargo racks hanging on the outside. they can still be spottet by pirates when placed on deck.

    Let me know how it goes cause from my understanding it's a small area on the back that is vulnerable kinda like the cyclops eye. Rest takes major reduced damage. If they are killable now though ~Lotus

    This is interesting to read. We have an abandoned boat in our harbor. It was built the first week servers went live after the wipe. It was left in our harbor and the player has not logged in since. At one point it sat in the same spot for almost 2 months without anyone touching it. This is a allies boats. Two nights ago I joined their company to join in on some map xp and when I came back I moved the boat out of the way. Since that companies leadership said they do not want it I decided to turn it into a tourist attraction. Going to build a pier all the way around it and put signs and billboards up explaining its mysterious history in our harbor.

    I recently started playing Again because of the recent patches that made breeding easiere, however coming from ark, I found it slightly troublesome to breed on atlas.For me to breed on atlas i had to use the mechanic "enable wandering", which forced me to to spam "all stop" whistle(other players making pens to make them stop wandering). In ark, wildcard recently added a feature called "enable mating", which does the same thing as "enable wander" except that it doesn't wander away or forces me to guild a pen or spam whistles to make it stand still for the mating. I hope you will look taking this feature from ark and implement it into atlas, i don't believe that "enable wandering" is intended for breeding animals, but for the creature to simple wander around the vicinity and interact with the enviroment with it's neutral or aggressive stance. "enable mating" would be a good quality of life change for many people.

    Jack, You have crap sprawled all over the place on that island.. there is no "base" just things everywhere. I also highly doubt the GM said it was okay to excessively spam foundations/pillars everywhere. You keep going back to before the wipe, this is a new game essentially.. this is after the wipe and new rules come into place. Forget what you had before the wipe and have the mindset that has been set forth of the new way flags work. Seems most of us have come to this understanding. No one is looking down upon you for wanting a large base, it is just how you are going about it. The fact you are so stand offish says you know you are in the wrong. No need to be hostile, as most are willing to work with one another so everyone is happy. We ALL want our own land and to build/tame/and sail happily. I just wish that some in the community would be more willing to work with one another, not everything has to be a fight.

    This change reduces the distance at which player characters are replicated on boats. We brought the number down so it matches the values on land, out in the sea, and in the air (gliding). It will by proxy improve server and client performance, as it's quite a taxing thing. It also allowed us to tweak up NPC replication values, which again should result in both client and server performance gains, and it's opened the door for some other things that we're looking into.. which will also result in a gain if things work out Server and client performance will always continue to be something we put some time and attention into.

    Puckles are underpowered. A guy over lvl 80 with hp build can come inside and grenade all your puckles. Crabs can also jump in the middle of your puckles and destroy them easily. Even puckles mastercraft don't do much against that. I noticed how useless are defenses against a guy mounted in a crab thwrowing grenades, can you negate the ability to throw granades mounted on a crab at least?. Because I noticed that ballistas are pretty much useless against a crab. They just come throw granades kill NPCs. Jump again then heal, do it over again and GG base. Your NPCs do nothing against crabs. The only thing that can save you as against crabs is building your base over a natural pillar and not all the islands have this type of pillars. Puckles never focus the rider over the crab, good luck trying to snipe a guy equipped with mythical stuff, full HP with medkits jumping in a crab. You do 32 damage in the head with a normal carbine if you manage to shoot the rider, well I will need to build walls over 15 high to avoid the crab coming. Let's spam more buildings. And dont say ballistas or swivels do something to them, a good crab can tank any NPC with healing, the only way we found to kill one is killing the rider somehow and mortar the crab. I think bola weapon should work against tames 100% like in ark. Or placing bear traps, give us something to defend bases please, NPCs are useless right now. Even the spikes will be fine if you implement them here.

    A new patch and seems nothing about grenades, blackjacks and puckles,the dev team really have to test this things or at least they should listen the community about what is the new meta and what is wrong about this. How about give me 200 grenades and ill go directly to 5 puckles near the wall where the puckles can't shoot(450hp+armour+food+medkit) im still alive ill use my medkit im full hp I'll throw few nades near the puckles,puckles dead, -ill use my climbing pick to the enamy top base,maybe few more puckles or not who cares less nades or more in my inventory, from the top roof of the base try to stop me when i can spam nades every second, -who cares about about your 1 wall layers or 3 or 5 (300dmg/s,18000dmg/minut,36000dmg/2min),try to kill me inside your base with a weapon when i can jump and throw grenades like crazy (450hp/good armour/food)You Can't! This was an example only for 1 person but let's think what will be the situation when is more than one. This is how the players from biggest companies dissaparead after the night,this how most of the tames are dead in EU PVP A3 A4 B4 B5 C4 C5 etc,this is how all breeders left the game and not only.Is not nice to lose all your work in few minutes not hours. What is the point to declare war and use the mortar when i have 200 "mortar shoots" in my inventory ? What is the point to Breed tames 1 month for good stats when one naked guy with blackjack can unmounted me from the tame,you know a unmounted tame is dead by the enamy swivel tame if you lose the tame control for few seconds. What is the point to spam Puckles when is enough 2 grenades and the puckles are destroyed and also seems the puckles doesnt react when the server is full (10 fps/255 ping). What is the point to spam Towers/Puckles/Ballista when the enamy cannon bear/horse have a insane range? What is the point to chase someone which is low hp when he can heal under the water with his medkit in 4 seconds. What is the point to be full gear/food when a naked can grappling hook me and drag me close to a puckle or whatever,no chance to escape from the grappling hook.(give me something) This a short list which was discussed inside a big alliance and nobody is happy how is the meta now, even the enamy are worried about how the game evolved but evolved in a bad direction and everyone is waiting for an answer. Directly from EU PVP with concerns. Easy fix: -Limit the amount of the nades who can be carry by a player/add weight/add more time reload etc. -Increase the damage/resistence for Puckles.(are no longer effective) -Decrease the range of cannon horse/bear on the land. -Fix the problem with grappling hook with a minigame so at aleast we have a chance to escape. -Fix the blackjack -Fix the problem with the medkit healing under the wather or in wather. Thank you.

    This info is partially wrong. Fleas were the reason why bubonic plague spread out. Rats get a bad rep as a carrier of fleas but many other animals had them. Although they only singled out the rats. Because people are afraid of them. Thanks for perpetuating the trope that mice and rats are disgusting, disease ridden and gross rodents. The many generation bred domesticated rats and mouse now make exceptionally smart and lovable pets.
